The off-the-shoulder dress felt beachy yet sophisticated. Gustovo’s linen suit complemented the beach color palette creating an easy yet sharp look.

Why we love it: Kristina and Robert brought the glamour to the beach! Her embellished lace gown was stunning, yet it relaxed with her natural down hair and attached train. Robert looks dapper and sharp in his fitted black suit. It matched the elegance of her gown perfectly, not too much or not enough, but just right. Classic and timeless with a beachy flair!

Hannah & Justin ~ Southside Beach

Why we love it: Hannah’s ankle-length lacey dress brings a laid-back, playful vibe that is flirty and fun for a beach wedding! And Justin looks effortlessly casual cool with rolled-up pants, just in case of a splash or two. He still kept it looking put together yet casual by tucking in his shirt with a belt. A beach wedding doesn’t need to be sloppy; it can still look easy and breezy yet beautiful like these two!

Kelsey & Wyatt ~ Gannon’s Lower Knoll

Why we love it: Kelsy didn’t shy away from a full A-line gown for her Hawaii wedding. Her chic and classic bridal style had major princess vibes. Wyatt looked like her Prince Charming in his suit, but he kept it a little more laid back by skipping the tie.

Jamie & Jay ~ Southside Beach

Why we love it: Jay’s full-print suit was a bold choice, and we love risk-takers! These two are proof that even the most dressed-up groom won’t overpower his bride’s look. Jamie was radiant in her vintage gown with gold tones that perfectly complemented Jay’s suit.

Vanessa & Bryan ~ Ironwoods

Why we love it: Bryan’s light blue suit perfectly complements the turquoise waters and is a refreshing alternative to traditional navy. And his touch of pink matched her stunning blooms! The light linen suit was perfect for a tropical wedding, and the pop of color felt extra fun! Vanessa looked stunning in a deep V gown (with a pop of comfy sneakers!) Their beach wedding attire was the perfect choice for their big day!

Trendsetters

Nimet & Nazim ~ 5 Palms

Why we love it: We don’t see many double-breasted jackets on grooms, and we think Nazim really pulled off the look! Instead of a tie, he wore a printed button-up for a relaxed and confident look.

Nimet was on the leading edge of the off-shoulder gown trend and really rocked the look! Off-shoulder gowns can be restricting if you hope to dance the night away at your wedding, but beach brides usually have simpler receptions planned so they can wear the style without worry. This couple toned down their Maui wedding styles by mixing hues of creams, icy blue, and ivory instead of matching everything to one shade of white. It kept their look more subtle.

Tropical & Floral Dream

Lindsay & Anthony ~ Rustic Ruins at Trinity By The Sea

Why we love it: Lindsay’s isn’t afraid of color, and her unique floral printed dress was refreshing to see! And it matched the vibrant tropical decor. Their beach wedding attire matched their fun-loving and playful personalities! Her pink bow was the cherry on top of her floral confection, and Anthony’s pink tie matched perfectly. We love a man who’s not afraid of pink!

Classic Glamour on the Beach

Analie & Michael ~ Po’olenalena Beach

Why we love it: Analie and Michael went for full-on classic glam for their beach wedding. These two were classic glam for their beach wedding. Michael wore a sleek black tux with a bow tie, and Analie had a cathedral-length veil and flawless Hollywood waves. Her jeweled hairpiece added a little bit of luxe to the overall effect – gorgeous!

Audrey-Anna & Morgan ~ Southside Beach

Why we love it: Audrey-Anna’s stunning floral suit was one of a kind! It felt special and unique, complementing the tropical feeling of their big day. We never say no to more flowers! And Morgan looked like a glittering goddess in her deep V gown. Like these two, you can still showcase your personality and individual style on your wedding day! A perfect match…

Suited for Each Other

Ted & Jeremy ~ Southside Beach

Why we love it: Ted and Jeremy kept it simple in solid suits and matching Maile leis. (Just be aware that it can be really hot on the beach in a suit!) But dressing up for your wedding is a way to signify how special the moment it is, so why not go all out! Ted and Jeremy’s suits fit perfectly, and the combination of navy & white ensured that they coordinated beautifully.

Getting to know our couples is just one highlight of our job as wedding planners! We’re always so impressed and delighted to see how our clients express their unique personalities through their wedding day attire. Sometimes Love is jubilant, a dancing laugh made of sunlight and whispered wishes. Other times, Love is quiet, a solid rock to hold onto as you drift in the sea, a warm hand to grasp when yours are cold.

Whitney & Oscar’s Maui wedding was nothing how they’d envisioned getting married in paradise would be like… With the coronavirus encroaching into the country, half of their guests needed to stay home, including Whitney’s Matron of Honor and Oscar’s family and parents. Then their rehearsal dinner was canceled… and then came the rain. But our bride and groom were gracious throughout it all, smiling and taking in every moment of their Special Day.

With their kindness and sweet moments of thankfulness, Whitney & Oscar showed us all that even in times like these, Love wins.

Emily, our onsite coordinator reflected on the day, saying: “The sun never came out to shine on their wedding, but there was something even brighter shining on them – their love for each other, the love from their family, and the blessings they received for their marriage.”

During this cloud, there’s been a silver lining: all over the world, people are showing kindness, people are coming together to protect their neighbors and their communities. And although Karma Hill Photography had offered a couple’s portrait session once the weather cleared up, our bride and groom cared more about the health and safety of the crew than capturing their dream photo… all they wanted was for the photographer to stay home, to stay safe, and to stay healthy.

Whitney & Oscar may not have had the sun-filled Maui wedding they’d always dreamed of… but looking over these images, it’s clear that their wedding was the unforeseen but beautiful beginning of a dream marriage, a marriage rooted in truth and unconditional love.

As our bride puts it: “Of course it wasn’t the perfect day you dream of, but we made do with what we had, and it was wonderful. I am proud to be Mrs. Gutierrez, and these events have shown me just what a strong, incredible man I have…”

After helping their niece elope here a few years ago, Amber & Stephen were inspired to have their own unforgettable vow renewal on Maui. Married for over 17 years, this couple wanted a celebration that was special and meaningful yet still fun and casual. And we think their Big Day was that and then some!

Amber & Stephen first said “I do” in a courthouse and felt the rustic shore of Ironwoods was the perfect place to say “I do again.” With heavy rains forecasted, our couple was happily surprised to be greeted with a glistening ocean and warm sands on the morning of their celebration.

We love how Amber tossed the classic white dress aside and showed off her spunk with a bold print of cascading blues! And with Stephen decked in a casual polo and shorts to match, this couple is ready for a Maui style celebration!

Residing on the Garden Ilse for part of the year, our couple knows how to stay comfortable on the shoreside. Although the time they spend on Maui is becoming less and less now that they have two sweet grandbabies!

And speaking of sweet, their little girl Mia joined the party, offering some congratulatory kisses of her own.

Sometimes, the love is so bright, you need a good pair of shades!

To our valued Simple Maui Wedding clientele, 

As the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) remains a global concern, we want to assure you that our top priority continues to be the health and happiness of our clients and employees. We understand what a scary and sad time this is for our clients, and we are here for you. We feel heartbroken as well. 

In order to ensure your health and wellbeing, we are following the recommendations of Governor Ige and Mayor Victorino and canceling all events for the next 30 days. However, we truly believe and are hopeful that this pandemic will be short-lived, so we are currently open and taking bookings for FUTURE dates.

If your wedding is between now and the end of April, we recommend rescheduling to sometime after 09/01/2020. This will ensure that we have enough availability, and airfare and hotels will likely be more affordable as well. All weddings that have been booked but need to be rescheduled due to COVID-19 will be guaranteed a price-lock for up to 2 years into the future, regardless of whether our package costs increase.

Keep in mind that you don’t have to know your new date to postpone; you can always let us know later!

Many of you have been proactive and have already arranged your busy schedules to postpone your wedding date. We encourage you to keep at it and to please continue to be patient with our team as we do our best to work with this incredibly complex situation. Things are changing day-to-day, and we will update available booking times as soon as we know more. 

We also highly advise that you postpone your visit to the islands until Governor Ige greenlights travel. Tourist attractions, bars, restaurants, and many other areas have been closed, which means, unfortunately, a visit to Hawaii won’t be the fun vacation you had in mind. Postponing travel will also help keep our island community healthy, as all local COVID-19 cases have so far been tourism-related. 

Lastly (but not least!), we want to assure you that this will pass, and one day soon, you will be standing beneath the warm tropical sun and saying “I do” to the love of your life.

We want nothing more than for you to have an amazing Maui wedding, and we can’t wait to be a part of it! 

…But, until then, stay safe, stay strong, and stay healthy.

This Maui beach wedding was breezy and flooded with the Aloha spirit. A marriage is always a special union, but it’s particularly special when tying the knot also means tying together a family. With their children at their sides, Heather & Ryan said “I do” on the sands of Lahaina Shores, and their wonderful journey as husband and wife–and a blended family–began! “When I arrived at Sunny’s condo, she was hard at work perfecting her makeup, almost overwhelmed. We were all so glad she took her time with her makeup because she looked absolutely stunning when she was all done! She even cried as she was putting on her dress because she was so emotional that her makeup was perfect and everything was finally coming together. As her dress was buttoned up, she added the pearl necklace her mother-in-law let her borrow. It was such a classy touch to her beauty.”

“It was drizzling just before Reverend Richardo’s conch blew, but when Sunny arrived, the rain stopped moments before she made her entrance.”

“Everyone loved Richardo’s ceremony. He had the couple and all of the guests laughing and smiling throughout, which was just what the couple wanted.”

“After the ceremony, we gathered for photos on the beach of the 5 Palms. Keawekapu is where they love to hang out as a family together, so it’s become a sentimental beach for them all.”

“As the final minutes of the sunset came to a close, Sunny and Aaron experienced the most vibrant colors for their sunset! Sunny was saying ‘It’s almost comical to have such a perfect sunset!’ It was true since the whole day they had overcast skies leading up to those very last moments.”

Overlooking Wailea, the grassy terrace set the stage for Ashley & Robert’s airy and elegant Gannon’s wedding on Maui. The weather was perfect for an outdoor ceremony: overcast skies with soft, romantic lighting and a cool breeze that drifted up from the ocean.

Shades of purple were the colors of choice for this vibrant young couple. After visiting Ali’i Kula Lavender Farm, Ashley and Robert fell in love with the subtle hues and wanted to weave the soft color palette into their Special Day. And the result? Beauty for ages!

Robert looked on-point in a dusky lavender tie and a violet boutonniere.

And their adorable (and very good girl) Chloe joined the party while sporting an extra stylish purple hair ribbon. Which was just the cutest thing! Who’s a pretty girl?

After our beautiful couple said “I do,” we traveled down to the white sandy shore of Southside beach. These two newlyweds have a special connection to the Wailea cost… It was about a year and a half ago, on the shore of Po’olenalena, where Robert asked Ashley to be his wife.

And to make it something of a tradition, they hoped to visit as many Maui beaches as possible during their stay… in fact, Southside was the beach they’d planned on visiting next! It worked out perfectly… and speaking of perfection, we can’t get over how amazing these Maui couples portraits came out!

What do you get when two families meet halfway around the world on the shores of the Magic Isle? A Maui destination wedding! Megan was born in Australia but moved to Canada when she was just ten-years-old… and there, she eventually met the love of her life, Tim!

These two met at a mutual friend’s party, and it didn’t take long for them to decide (together) to take their relationship to the next level. And it was this past February, in the lush rainforest of Queensland’s Lamington National Park, where they officially got engaged! They figured the best spot to say “I do” was where Megan’s parents often frequent, the Kihei Surf Side!

The day was bright and breezy, with hardly another soul on the emerald lawn, making for a quiet and intimate ceremony with just the bride and groom and their closest family.

When asked about their preferred photography style for their Maui destination wedding, our couple responded “Goofy and fun!” And we couldn’t have been more thrilled! We are ALL about capturing those big smiles and sealing that laughter in photos that will be cherished for a lifetime! We welcome fun and say, “Bring on the goofy!”

Elena & Michael’s Hawaii beach wedding was fun and then some! These two adventurous spirits love to be playful–making them a perfect match for Simple Maui Wedding! We had a wonderful time capturing their laughter-filled ceremony: from the hula dancer to the dancing bride, this wedding was unforgettable!

Elena & Michael met while working for the postal service, and it didn’t take long for love to find itself on their doorstep! This awesome couple wanted an authentic Aloha experience for their Hawaii beach wedding… so we booked a talented hula dancer and ukulele player from our friends over at Manutea Nui E! Marian & Timothy’s Beach Wedding in Maui was a lovely example of how an overcast day can turn into one of the most beautiful sunsets. The lighting was soft and dreamy, and the ocean gently hummed. Although they were surprised at how many loved ones were able to fly out to support them, it makes perfect sense to us… everyone wants to cheer on this awesome couple!!

Marian & Timothy decided to say “I do” on Maui because they loved the idea of wrapping a getaway and a wedding into one spectacular package of Aloha! And the scenery at Maluaka Beach did not disappoint. Golden sands, steel gray waters, and a rocky embankment framed with greenery, there was no shortage of gorgeous scenic backdrops!

Reverend Kimo officiated the ceremony, opening the event with the deep, trumpeting sound of the conch shell. As Marian made her way to her waiting groom, she was nothing but luminous in a couture gown designed by a talented friend.

This tender moment says it all… a look shared between friends and partners, both deeply and truly in love…

Following the “I do,” our couple had their first dance right there on the oceanfront. We can’t get enough of how beautiful Marian is! Her gown perfectly embodies the churning white water, and Timothy’s aquamarine slacks add just the right “pop” against the backdrop.

Beauty incarnate? … Most definitely!!

As the day came to a close, the sun lit up the sky in a brilliant golden light, perfectly mirroring this couple’s luminous love…

To celebrate their 25th anniversary, Mari-June & Roy flew in from Cali for their unforgettable Hawaii beach vow renewal! And of course, they brought their kids with them… including their furbaby, Max! This little ball of adorableness has traveled all across the country with his humans–and having visited Oahu once before, he was no stranger to the sandy shore!

Our couple met in high school and were married six years later. They love to travel, watch sports, and have little lunch dates together. It’s clear that these two have an inseparable bond and they’re still as head-over-heels in love as they were on that first day of high school…

Max was such a good boy! Although he was used to the sand, he was still a little unfamiliar with the Maui waves. Yet he stayed cool as a cucumber. Check out those sweet brown eyes!

Just as Mari-June & Roy once again declared their commitment and love for one another, the sky began to glow in a subtle coral, perfectly matching our couple’s special day palette. Talk about a good luck sign!

This dynamic duo met online a little over two years ago, and it’s been smooth sailing ever since! With no kids and no pets, our couple loves exploring the diverse food scene in Seattle while saving a drop of time for some West Coast swing dancing! These two are the complete package: brains and beauty! Ruolan works as a family physician for Kaiser Permanente and loves traveling, and Daemon is a data scientist for Microsoft who loves himself a good cocktail!
