We love a little glamour and playfulness with a love story, and our newlyweds brought both! Diana and Gustavo’s Maui elopement was an absolute dream come true. The couple was beaming with excitement as they exchanged sweet and thoughtful vows on the stunning Ironwoods Beach. The setting couldn’t have been more perfect for their special day! It was full of love, laughter, and smiles, as seen in their beautiful photos below…
With salty waves and a warm tropical breeze, their Maui elopement ceremony felt like something out of a fairytale. Diana looked radiant in her elegant gown, while Gustavo looked dapper as ever in his sharp suit. They were truly a match made in heaven!
The love between these two was palpable and infectious—everyone could feel it! It was such a joy to witness them tie the knot surrounded by their closest friends and family members. You could just see how significant this moment was for each other…
Their love for each other shone through every moment of their Maui elopement. From their picture-perfect ceremony to their dramatic portraits on Ironwoods Cliffs, it’s clear that they are head over heels for one another! These will be memories that they’ll cherish for the rest of their lives…
But the fun didn’t stop there! The next day we met our newlyweds for a morning-after celebration and trash-the-dress photo session! Diana and Gustavo were so playful as they frolicked in the ocean waves – it was like watching two kids at play… This is a fun option for newlyweds the morning after, as seen in these sweet photos below! They couldn’t resist jumping into the ocean and relishing their first morning as husband and wife!
We wish Diana and Gustavo all the happiness in the world as they embark on this new chapter of their lives together – may their love continue to flourish like the ocean waves surrounding them on their special day!

The day Hansol and William tied the knot was unforgettable! Twenty-five of their loved ones were in attendance. Then Ironwoods Beach set the scene. Lastly, our gorgeous couple looked beautiful! A few days after their Maui beach wedding, Hansol and William took some trash the dress portraits. These photos will be a stunning reminder of this romantic getaway in Hawaii! Continue scrolling to experience these moments for yourself.
William was born and raised in Maui. One year, he took Hansol to Hawaii as a Christmas gift. The moment Hansol visited, she fell in love with the island! During this trip, Hansol also realizes William is more than just a boyfriend to her. Since this destination is meaningful, they couldn’t imagine getting married anywhere else. However, as soon as they found Simple Maui Wedding on Instagram, they knew they’d made the perfect choice!
Tranquil, classic, and simple are a few words we’d use to describe Hansol and William’s special day! The dramatic scenery of Ironwoods Beach created a dreamy scene. Then Karma Hill Photography and All Time Media documented every significant moment of this sunset event. After our lovely duo became husband and wife, we had a cake cutting ceremony and sparkling toast! This tradition was Hansol and William’s first experience as a married pair, and you can tell they’re savoring it!
However, we adore how exquisite Hansol and William dressed. Our bride’s gown is airy and ethereal; it pairs splendidly with her chic hair and makeup. William’s suit is sharp and sophisticated — we like how effortlessly it balances with Hansol’s custom bouquet from Dellables.
A few days after Hansol and William’s Maui beach wedding, Karma Hill Photography captured their trash the dress photos! These pictures are lighthearted and romantic. Maluaka Beach created an enchanting scene. As the sun continued to set, a spectrum of delicate hues decorated the sky — it looked like a painting! Above all, we love seeing how much fun Hansol and William had during this session. They weren’t afraid to be carefree and relish their time together!
Congratulations, Hansol and William! Thank you for letting us be part of your wedding day. We wish you a future full of new adventures and unforgettable memories!

The day you tie the knot should check every box off your wishlist! Jennifer and James wanted a simple, beautiful, and personal ceremony. Our lovely couple’s Maui wedding and trash the dress session is just what they wanted! Continue scrolling to see why this celebration was perfect for them.
Jennifer and James’ special day was all about them. With only five guests in attendance, this ceremony is so intimate! Our groom was the first to arrive at Ironwoods Beach, and he looks sharp in his suit. Then when the sun was beginning to lower, our bride made her grand entrance! During Reverend Kimo Kirkman’s sermon, our stunning couple even exchanged leis with their guests — making this event more meaningful!
Ironwoods Beach was the location for this wedding, and everything about this spot is breathtaking! Surrounding our gorgeous couple is ivory sand, foamy aqua waves, and dramatic lava rocks. Above all, we adore how magical the sun made this event feel. The sunset left a golden glow on the shore — enhancing the dreamy ambiance!
Our adventurous couple met while they were on a group trip in Myanmar. After this getaway, James went home to London, and Jennifer returned to Ohio. However, their friendship continued to blossom! Our lovely duo had their first date in New York City on Valentine’s Day. This moment is why they decided to have their Maui wedding on the same day a few years later. Then, when the time was right, James popped the question to Jennifer while they were on a road trip around England!
A few days after this tranquil wedding, Karma Hill Photography captured some exquisite trash the dress portraits! Polo Beach and a picturesque sunset set the scene for this session. These pictures are so lighthearted and romantic! Our charming couple had fun: they got their feet wet, played in the water, and sat in the sand! Most importantly, you can tell this blissful duo is savoring their time in paradise as husband and wife!
Congratulations, James and Jennifer! Thank you for letting us be part of your magical wedding day. We wish you a future full of new travels, quality time together, and adventurous journeys!

Brooke and Matt’s Maui wedding was tropical and intimate! A stunning beach was the location for this union. Our groom looked stylish in his steel blue suit. Then our beautiful bride made a graceful grand entrance onto the sandy shore. Overall, there is so much we admire about this ceremony. Keep scrolling to experience this flawless event for yourself!
Our charming couple wanted a simply relaxing ceremony on the beach, and they couldn’t have chosen a better location! DT Fleming Beach created a magical scene with its cerulean waves, beige sand, and vibrant greenery surrounding the shore. Everything about this wedding was enchanting — from Kahu Ricardo Hanako’o’s heartfelt sermon to Oren Masserman’s soothing ukulele melodies! Our favorite thing is our delightful bride and groom’s attire. We love how elegant and chic Brooke and Matt look!
Brooke and Matt’s story began when they met at a hospital they worked together at in Austin, Texas. Then two years later, they moved to Portland, Oregon, to be closer to family. Matt popped the question to Brooke in October 2020 in front of her sister’s family and their dogs! It was a special moment for our lovely couple because their four-legged friends were part of it!
Currently, Brooke is a Registered Nurse, and Matt is an Emergency Room Doctor. They have three dogs but plan to have more someday! Recently, they bought 8.5 acres of land and are planning to build their dream house there. We hope your home is full of sweet animals and portraits from your wedding in Maui!
The next day, Karma Hill Photography met up with this alluring pair for their Trash the Dress photo session. And this time, Lahaina Shores Beach painted a dreamy backdrop for these pictures. We know our passionate newlyweds will leave with remarkable memories of their union in paradise! Continue scrolling to see more.
Our adventurous couple enjoyed every minute of this photoshoot! They weren’t afraid to get in the water, sit in the sand, or have fun with their poses. We adore how Brooke and Matt’s portraits are lighthearted, spontaneous, and romantic! Most importantly, you can see the newlywed glow and blissful expressions on their faces.
Congratulations, Brooke and Matt! It was a pleasure to be part of your special day. We wish you all the best of luck with building your dream home!

After realizing it would be difficult to gather all their friends and family under COVID restrictions, Joanna and Eric decided to have a small and breezy Maui beach wedding. They wanted their special day to be simple, dreamy, serene, and intimate. Consider their wishlist granted! This wedding was everything and more.
Set on the sweeping sands of Southside Beach, Joanna and Eric tied the knot in one of the most beautiful places on earth. Together since college, the love and friendship shared between these two is undeniable. When they first met, their friends referred to Joanna and Eric as “soul friends,” and now they’re also “soul mates.”
We love the retro yet classic look of our couple. Wearing a bodice-hugging gown with gorgeous lace accents and warm and fresh makeup, Joanna is absolutely beautiful. Eric sported the perfect wedding attire without the jacket for a toned-down, beach-friendly look. But the best thing they wore were their adoring expressions, just look at these two!
After the ceremony, our Karma Hill Photography met up again with Joanna and Eric for some dreamy trash the dress moments! Enjoy their adorable story as you scroll through the stunning images!
Joanna and Eric met at a week-long summer camp with TRS. They hit it off immediately as if they’d known each other for years! Our Bride shared a wonderful story about their engagement, and we’d like to share it with you.
From our bride: “This past February, Eric planned and executed a perfect romantic week before popping the question. On February 13th, Eric surprised me with a stay-at-home date night: sushi making and sake tasting! He bought all the ingredients and supplies needed, and we made our own sushi and tasted yummy sake. The next day, Valentine’s Day, Eric surprised me with horseback riding on Folsom Lake!”
“Afterwards, we went wine tasting outdoors. The following day, Eric surprised me yet again and took me zip lining at a local outdoor adventure park. That night, Eric told me to pack a suitcase because we would be leaving for a trip the next morning! On February 16th, we drove to San Luis Obispo County, on California’s central coast, to begin our getaway.”
”Eric dropped me off for a mani-pedi, and then we got ready for dinner. Eric told me we would have dinner delivered on the beach. When we got to Shell Beach, Eric said we had to wait a few minutes for the food to arrive. We started taking pictures. At one point, Eric told me to turn around so that he could get a picture of me staring off into the sunset. When I turned around, Eric was on one knee holding out a ring and telling me all the things he loves about me. I don’t remember a single thing Eric said, but I definitely said YES!”
Mahalo nui loa, Joanna and Eric! We wish you a bright and joyous future!

There was magic in the air during Kathleen and Andrew’s Maui Wedding on the shore of Poʻolenalena Beach. With only the ocean to bear witness and warm sand beneath their feet, this was a ceremony with all the elements of an unforgettable union. And you don’t want to miss the trash the dress photography that came afterward!
Waiting for the love of his life, Andrew looked sleek in a tailored black tux. As he turned to take in Kathleen, his expression was collected and warm. The woman of his dreams was about to become his wife. Draped in a gown of lace with a summer-inspired flower crown and graceful waves, Kathleen was gorgeous! It was little wonder why this amazing couple couldn’t stop staring at each other!
Following a mellow yet stunning ceremony, Kathleen and Andrew celebrated with cake and spectacular couple’s photos against the pastel sunset. Keep scrolling for their trash the dress session and a bursting sunset of fiery rays!
Two days after their lovely ceremony, our photography team at Karma Hill Photography met up with Kathleen and Andrew once more. But this time it was on the rustic shore of Ironwoods in Kapalua. We loved how these two let loose and indulged in the ocean waves!
Kathleen and Andrew are both pharmacists at the Portland VA Hospital. They love hiking, learning how to cook, traveling, working out on their Peloton, and of course watching TV (their new favorite show is The Masked Singer). Together they have two fur babies, their dogs Pikachu and Luca.
Kathleen and Andrew met while they were in pharmacy school and have been together for nine years. One special day while they were relaxing at home, Andrew turned to her and said, “Hey, let’s get married.” And of course, she said yes! We love how natural and easy going these two are! Just look at those smiles!
Congratulations, Kathleen and Andrew, for trusting us with your Maui Wedding and Trash the Dress Photography! It was a joy working with you, and we send our warmest Aloha.

Jacqueline and Jesus know how to celebrate a Maui Beach Wedding! In the soft morning light on the epic sands of Ironwoods Beach, Jacqueline and Jesus were married on the oceanfront with the turquoise waters glistening in the backdrop. After their “I do’s,” they ventured up the towering cliffs for dramatic and jaw-dropping photos and then cut the cake and curled up for a romantic picnic! The next day, our friends at Karma Hill Photography met up with Jacqueline and Jesus on Southside Beach for a fun trash the dress session!
Wearing a mermaid-flare gown with endless waves of crimson, Jacqueline stole our breath away! We loved Jesus’ sweet expression when his bride was finally standing by his side. Love was everywhere on the shore of Ironwoods that day! Keep scrolling for the sweet ceremony moments!
When on Ironwoods, taking advantage of the towering cliffs is a must-do! Jacqueline and Jesus looked spectacular against the rocky embankments. Following the epic shoot, our couple returned to the shore for a slice of wedding cake and one of the most romantic picnics we’ve seen, put together by our friends at Maui Luxe Picnics. But the celebration didn’t end there, scroll down for the following day’s stunning trash the dress session and more on this amazing couple!
Jacqueline is an Ultrasound Technologist at a hospital, and Jesus works for a landscaping company. Together they love to try out new restaurants and keep things laid back. Jacqueline loves to cook and binge-watch Netflix (don’t we all!), and Jesus enjoys being outside and playing video games. In the future, they hope to bring two mini-me cuties into the world!
Jacqueline and Jesus met in middle school, when Jesus was the “cool kid” and Jacquline was simply “the new girl.” She never thought he was in her league, with his job (already!), his love for sports, and his pristine Nikes. Little did Jacqueline know that he was pining for her the whole time! He couldn’t resist her sense of humor and brilliant mind! Jesus knew Jacqueline was the one, and last summer, he took Jacqueline into his house to a room filled with flower petals and asked her to marry him. The rest is right here on our blog!
Congratulations, Jacqueline and Jesus! Thank you for trusting us with your Maui beach wedding and trash the dress session. We wish you all the happiness in the years ahead.

Here at Simple Maui Wedding, we specialize in ceremonies! We want to make your wedding day perfect, seamless, memorable, all while keeping it Simple! Now Simple doesn’t mean that you can’t go all out and have extras, it just means we aren’t going to let you stress about it! Whether you’re having a small beach elopement or a large venue ceremony with 75 of your closest family members and friends, there are always Maui wedding add-ons that can make your day extra special!!
We’ve put together a list of the most popular add-ons that we offer at Simple Maui Wedding! However, if you choose to forgo any of these that’s just fine because our packages include everything you will need to have a perfect wedding day! But everyone loves a little something extra — come take a look and see if any of these additions are something to consider for your Big Day!
All of our packages include a beautiful wedding bouquet! We have styles that range from classic white to rustic and colorful. You can take a look at our selection of bouquets here! Although sometimes having something more personalized might better suit you. So we offer custom bouquets starting at an additional $85 upgrade fee.
You send us a picture or tell us what you have in mind, and we’ll check with our fabulous florist and do our best to turn that fantasy into reality! Some specific varietals of flowers are seasonal, but we’ll always do our best to get the look and feel that you are going for. After all, your bouquet will be in just about every picture, so we want it to match you perfectly!!
Who says only the ladies can have gorgeous blooms! Boutonnieres are important Maui wedding add-ons that really tie the groom’s style in with the beautiful bride! We have them created to match the wedding bouquet, which also adds a nice touch to the attire. Boutonnieres start at $45 and bring a pop of color to any groom’s outfit: tux or button-up, these classic touches elevate the occasion to refined luxury.
Flower crowns are absolutely stunning, and we love how they look on our gorgeous brides! They can be tropical or soft, petite or large, or even just created with greenery if that’s more your style. Typically flower crowns are created to match your bouquet, but if you’d like something a little different, we can make that happen.
Flower crowns start at $125 and your coordinator will deliver them to the beach or venue along with your bouquet just before the ceremony begins. We will help you get it all situated and looking picture-perfect for your photos!
Flower petals are the perfect addition to any wedding, beach or venue!! We love to set up the perfect shot where your guests are surrounding you and throwing petals into the air in celebration! It’s a special moment and looks AMAZING in photos!! The cost for a bag of petals is $60 and depending on your guest count we sometimes recommend 2 or 3 bags. We always try to leave our beaches just the way we found them so our coordinators will do their best to pick up all the petals after the shot.
Read our blog to view real Hawaii Destination Weddings! Get inspiration and tips!
You can add a gorgeous petal aisle to a venue wedding and reuse those beautiful flowers for a petal toss afterward. Unfortunately, petal aisles don’t really work on the beach because the wind tends to blow them all away, but at venues it’s a perfect way to adorn the grassy aisle. For a full aisle we recommend 5-6 bags of petals.
Flower circles are a stunning way to add style to your beach ceremony. We are limited by state regulations as to what we can put in the sand, but with flower circles, we’ve got the green light, and we highly recommend them! Check out these beautiful works of art below!
To add a flower circle (or half-circle) to your beach wedding, just let your coordinator know and we will give you a custom quote. It really depends on the thickness and types of flowers so they can range in price, but a good starting point is $500.
As we mentioned, we are pretty limited on what we’re able to put into the sand for beach ceremonies. We aren’t allowed to bring chairs or have arches, but that doesn’t mean you can’t add other kinds of fun!
Check out these pineapple and lantern aisles that we’ve done! We can add a driftwood altar for you to stand between or even gorgeous flower arrangements. We have to stay in line with the state restrictions but there are lots of ways to add some personality to your Maui beach wedding. Check with us for custom pricing or let us know if you have any other fabulous ideas for beach decor!
We love to add arches to our venue ceremonies! With most of our venues, we’ve got full creative license to bring any gorgeous arch and floral you can imagine. And these days, the options are endless! A traditional 4 post arch with white fabric and floral is beautiful but we also offer stunning circle arches like the ones pictured below. Or maybe a rustic driftwood arch is more your style.
Whatever you prefer just let us know and we will give you a custom quote with and without floral arrangements. A little tip from us: if you are having a dinner reception after your ceremony those arch arrangements can be re-purposed to add decor to your dinner table. We’ll bring the scissors, and you assign your fabulous in-laws to get those to your restaurant and you’re good to go!
Who says a wedding ceremony just means walking down the aisle and saying “I do”? This is your Big Day, don’t be afraid to spice it up a bit! Whether you have guests to entertain or not, we’ve put together some of our favorite ceremony add-on’s to cover all your Hawaiian wedding dreams!
We realize that sometimes those traditional elements such as cake cutting and toasts can be left out of Maui weddings on the beach and we wanted to give you the opportunity to bring that back! We offer a delicious white vanilla cake adorned in flowers to match your bouquet as well as an apple cider toast for the two of you to enjoy (We aren’t allowed to have alcohol on the beaches so apple cider will have to do).
Of course our photographers will capture this moment for you, so it also comes with an additional 1/2 hour of photography and 25 more images for just $550. These items are also offered a la carte if you don’t think you’d want both the cake and cider toast.
Planning on a beach wedding in Hawaii? Or just hoping to elope on the world’s most romantic sandy venue? We’re here to help make your dreams come true!
Musicians are very popular here in Hawaii! Everyone enjoys the music of the Hawaiian culture, and part of that love is sharing it with others. You can add a local ukulele or guitar player for just $350 for 1 hour. They will serenade your guests as they await your arrival, strum lightly during your ceremony, and bless you with a sweet song after you’re pronounced! Some couples even enjoy a first dance to their favorite song. Note: Harpists can be added as well but that pricing varies by location (can you imagine getting that thing down onto the beach?)
The perfect addition to that fabulous musician is a one of a kind hula show. These amazing dancers will entertain your guests with beautiful hula. They can even teach your Maui wedding guests the art of hula and have them join in the fun. The price of a hula dancer with a musician is just $525.
If all of these things are right up your alley, we’ve created an add-on for that too! Our Mini Beach Reception package includes a Hawaiian musician and 2 hula dancers for 1 hour, a 1-tier white wedding cake with flowers, an apple cider toast for two, and an extra 1/2 hour of photography. The cost for everything is just $1075.
You’ve seen all kinds of Just Maui’d signs but never one like this! This beautiful wooden circle Just Maui’d Sign comes adorned in floral to match your bouquet. It’s light and easy to hold and perfect for that one of kind look. Of course, we offer it to all our couples but surely none of your friends will have this sign (unless they book with us too). The cost to rent this beauty is just $95.
This is your special day!! You’ve spent time thinking, planning, but hopefully not stressing over this day and we want you to have everything you can to remember it! That’s why photography time is one of the best Maui wedding add-ons. We can document special moments like you getting ready, reception coverage, or even a Trash the Dress session the very next day. Extra photography time can be added for $350 for 30 minutes of coverage and that includes an additional 25 images, or $700 for 1 hour of coverage and that includes 50 additional edited images. Check out your options here for additional photography time:
Those moments leading up to your “I Do’s” are so special and if you’re up for it we’d love to have our photographers document it for you. Many of our couples will book an extra 30-60 minutes of photography time to capture those final touches of makeup, you getting into your dress, or sharing a quick hug with family. These moments help pull together the full story of the wedding day and our photographers enjoy capturing them.
Sometimes adding on coverage at the tail end of your Maui wedding is more your style. Our photographers can stay past sunset if you would like and capture all the fun that you have planned for your guests. From table decor to first dances all the way to your father’s toast, you can add on photography time to ensure those moments are memorialized as well.
The day after the wedding tends to be much more relaxing than the wedding day. You can let your hair down, revel in the love you share, and usually the bouquet is still in great shape for photos. We offer a trash the dress session for just $599 on a different day of your wedding. You don’t actually have to “trash your dress” either. You can just add that session to get more pictures of the two of you.
Videography is a very popular Maui wedding add-on. Although we don’t do videography in-house, we do have some amazing vendors that we work with that can create a gorgeous memoir of your wedding day. We usually recommend having the videographer there as long as the photographer so they can work together to capture all the special moments as a team.
Then about 8-12 weeks after your wedding (3-4 for pictures), your video will arrive and you’ll be able to relive that day all over again. Videography starts at $1100 for 1 hour of coverage.
Check out a teaser for one of our fabulous Maui wedding videos here:
Our custom designed 10×10 wedding album with thick, lay-flat pages is the perfect addition to your photography collection! You get to highlight all your favorite pictures from your big day and show them off on your coffee table for just $699. If the album isn’t your thing, another great option is our custom wooden USB. We print 2 of your favorite pictures on the outside of this gorgeous box and USB and then load it up with your selected pictures! It’s the perfect keepsake for your Oahu wedding!

Saying “I do” in a Maui wedding dress under the Hawaiian sun is all the magic a girl could wish for! But pinch yourself … because this is your reality!
The big question has been popped. The location has been set…
And now you’re left wondering… what’s a girl to wear? Will a sweetheart neckline look okay on a rustic locale? Can the dress be short? Will a streamer or a train work on a sandy shore?
Yes to all of that!
Simple Maui Wedding has coordinated thousands of real Hawaiʻi ceremonies, and with help from our Maui wedding photographers, we’ve hand-selected our favorite cuts and drapes that are sure to complement any bride and any Maui venue. From jewel-encrusted gowns to silken simplicity, we’ve got your inspiration covered!
So grab a coconut water and scroll along with us as we detail our top 5 Maui wedding dress styles:
Are you planning a beach or venue wedding?
While the same dress can look gorgeous at both locations, understanding the “feeling” of your selected locale is a great place to start when drawing inspiration.
Is it a historic Maui wedding venue like the Olowalu Plantation House? Then perhaps a dramatic bustle or layers of elegant draping will make it feel as if you’ve transcended through time. Or maybe you’ve decided to say “I do” on the world-famous shores of Wailea? If so, then a tiered or fishtail dress that ripples like the rolling sea might be the perfect fit.
Taking the location into consideration is a sure-fire way to help you select the best gown possible for your special day.
The Season
While even the best meteorologists and weather apps can’t predict what Mother Nature will bring to your Special Day, knowing the wind and rain patterns of the season can help you get a vision of what to expect. Are sleeves a safe bet for that time of year? Or will strapless be more comfortable?
Although Hawaii isn’t nearly as susceptible to seasonal change as other locations, the time of year can bring subtle shifts in the weather and temperature as well as sunset and sunrise times.
But even if these differences are subtle, you can still indulge in a Hawaiian wedding that’s season-inspired! Who doesn’t love the dusky tones of a Fall wedding or the fresh blooms of a springtime affair? Just like the decor, your gown can evolve with the season. Try delicate pleats in Spring and a statement flounce for the Fall. Slip into an empire waist for the Summer or a chapel-length veil for the Winter.
Don’t hold back when it comes to making a dramatic statement with your gown!
The Time of Day
Solidifying the hour of the day will also help you prepare. Are you planning a morning or evening wedding? Both options are stunning times for saying “I do” in Hawaii, but each can give you drastically different backdrops. Do you need a dress that will embody the light and airy feel of the glittering morning ocean? Or do you need a gown that will pop against a firey Hawaiian sunset? Having a sense of time and temperature will help you narrow down your search.
Not taking the flow of the fabric into consideration can result in missed opportunities during the photoshoot.
A long, airy gown will almost become one with the breeze and cast a jaw-dropping silhouette against the tropical horizon. But while the weightlessness of this style allows it to flutter like angel wings, it might also make it hard to manage in the Hawaiian wind.
There are pros and cons to every fabric choice. So carefully consider the drape and weight of your material in order to select a gown that not only looks and feels great but also performs well at your selected locale.
While this may seem obvious, it’s endlessly important to take your own personality into account instead of rushing into the next bridal gown craze. What works for others might not work for you.
You are a radiant person, and you bring your own sense of style and charm to the occasion. That beauty within you has already captivated your partner, so let it captivate your guests!
Are you playful and outgoing? Then maybe some ruffles and bold colors will let your spunky self shine! Or maybe you’re more of a bookworm who loves fantasy? Then maybe it’s full lace sleeves that set your spirit aglow.
Your wedding photos will be treasured for a lifetime. Take this opportunity to capture your unique sense of style!
The truth is, it doesn’t really matter what you wear on your special day as long as you and your partner rejoice in your union. It’s your relationship that comes first, and your wedding dress is truly just another outfit.
But that said, what bride doesn’t want to feel gorgeous in an enchanting gown?!
We’ve titled this style “Boho-Magic” but it’s often referred to as Boho-Chic. Perfect for the artistic bride with a carefree spirit, this style blends in seamlessly with the tropical locales of Maui beaches. Boho-Chic showcases its gypsy origins with Indian-inspired floaty skirts, embroidery work, delicate beading, geometric lace patterns, and Roman-style drapery.
This versatile style is perfect for brides with a whimsical and spontaneous side but who still long for the historical beauty of a classic.
While you’re dreaming about your own Maui wedding dress, be sure to read these four tips:
With timeless grace and an elegant silhouette, this Maui wedding dress never goes out of style.
V-neck or sweetheart, princess seam or mermaid cut, it’s the simplicity of these gowns that make them stunning. Nothing fussy or overly complicated, just smooth lines and casual draping. The “Clean & Classic” style highlights the bride’s natural beauty and stands out against the rustic oceanfront.
This style is perfectly suited for the regal bride who balances princess candor with modern simplicity. Need proof? Keep scrolling!

Perhaps the most popular dress style for a Maui wedding, lace gowns perfectly marry the magic of childhood with luxurious high-end designs. The intricate weavings call back to the “original” white wedding dress of Queen Victoria in the mid-17th century.
That’s why we’ve dubbed this third style “Lace Princess.” While it may resemble “Boho-Magic” at first glance, these designs draw inspiration from European lacework with a focus on finely thatched florals and elegant patterns instead of the bold geometrics associated with Bohemian styles.
This bridal dress style is perfect for fairytale weddings with traditional details.

We’ve named this style “Tidal Angel” because it’s all about the way a gown shimmers and moves.
From dense ruffles to weightless chiffon, a Maui bridal dress that ripples like the tide is a sight to behold! And with accents of intricate lace or droplets of gemstones, these gowns not only reflect the beauty of the bride but the spirit of the sea.
Just add the tropical breeze and brilliant Hawaiian sun, and this style practically comes alive! This dress trend is best suited for the playful and spirited bride who loves a drop (or tidal wave) of extravagance.

Who says a wedding dress has to be white? Or long? Or a dress, for that matter? Even though we’ve titled this style “The Rule-Bender” there really are no hard-and-fast rules when it comes to wedding dress varieties. If your gown fills you with joy, your radiance will outshine even the most shimmery of conventional fabrics!
So throw caution to the tropical breeze and be bold, be playful, and most importantly, be yourself. You’re in Hawaii… you’re getting married to the person of your dreams… what better time to make a statement and have fun!
We’ve sorted this style into 3 “Rule-Bending” cornerstones: Patters, Hems, and Hues. Tryout patterns that show off your charm, shorten those hems so you can kick up the sand, or dip yourself in hues that will make the traditional white dress blush.
We’re obsessed with the delicate and girlish charm of these printed and embroidered patterns. What a way to embody your whimsical side!
You’ll be kicking up sand on your Special Day, so don’t be afraid to raise that hem and go barefoot to show off your spunk! Check out these adorable rule-benders!
If you love the rule-bender style as much as we do, then you’re sure to fall in love with these colorful brides! A surprising hue makes an impression while showcasing your unique personality!
Whether you decide to have your gown custom-designed or choose to alter a family heirloom, as long as you love your wedding dress, it’s sure to make a splash on every Maui beach wedding location!
The hardest search is over… you’ve already found “The One”! And your dream gown is sure to be next… Happy dress hunting!

We love a spontaneous elopement, so when Nadia & Glenn called us with less than a week to plan their Maui Beach Wedding, we were so excited!! Not only did they book an amazing ceremony with us, but also a Maui Trash the Dress session too!
With so many beautiful locations, it’s hard to choose a single spot for a ceremony. That’s why Nadia & Glenn chose three locations! On Thursday they said “I Do” with their toes in the sand at Baldwin Beach in Paia. Then on Sunday they met back up with Karma Hill photography for portraits in Honolua Jungle and Ironwoods Beach in Kapalua. That’s one of our favorite spots for a Maui Trash the Dress!
While they booked their Maui Beach Wedding on whim, their love story is 11 years in the making! They met when they were neighbors in Boston and now they live in California. They’re busy with careers and school, so this vacation was a much-deserved getaway! We loved getting to work with Nadia and Glenn and we wish them all the best as they return home as husband and wife! Congratulations and Warm Aloha!

We are thrilled we got to be part of this couple’s Maui Destination Wedding! Not only were they super in love, but they were also super fun. Even the story of how they met is great! These two connected while Brianne was bar tending 2 years ago. Marc walking into the bar with his boss at the time, who was present at the wedding. He saw Brianne and told his boss that he was gonna marry that woman someday! And that day finally happened on June 17, 2016 🙂 . And we are so glad we could be part of the planning process and witness it all take place!
Brianne always wanted a destination wedding and Maui was the perfect place for the start of their new adventure. I mean who wouldn’t want to say, “I do” in a setting like this? Not only was it the ideal spot for their ceremony but this couple also decided to have a Maui Trash the Dress session while here!
So they met back up with our sister company, Karma Hill Photography, on their honeymoon. And we love all these photos of them together enjoying their first week as newlyweds! Thank you, Brianne and Marc, for asking Simple Maui Wedding to help plan the Maui Destination Wedding of your dreams. We had the best time with you two and wish you all the best on the journey ahead! Congratulations and Warm Aloha!

Krissie and Chad had a very memorable Maui Destination Wedding! They rented a private home in Lahaina, where they had their ceremony and then later went down to the beach for a few fun photos. We promise you’ll want to see these! They embraced the rain and how wet they already were by full on jumping in the ocean for one of the most fun trash the dress experiences ever! Their three daughters even joined them, does it get any better than swimming in wedding attire with your loved ones? We think not!
But hold up, let’s go back to the beginning of this wonderful day! We love that Krissie was able to spend some time getting all glammed up with her girls, before heading out to greet her soon to be hubby. As the 5 of them stood together for a beautiful ceremony, it started sprinkling but no one seemed to mind. In fact, each of their reactions was so cute, see for yourself! Not only were this bride and groom absolutely adorable together at their Maui Destination Wedding, but they also looked incredible even soaking wet! The way these two know how to make the best out of any situation leaves us confident they will have a long and happy life together! Thank you, Krissie and Chad, for letting the Simple Maui Wedding team help make this an occasion you will never forget! Congratulations and Warm Aloha!
