Connor and Devon’s Maui venue wedding felt like the kind of love story that’s been quietly unfolding for years. They’ve been building a life together in Northern California, sharing adventures, passions, and a home with their three beloved parrots: Calliope, Winnie, and Lolli, who are, by all accounts, their feathered children. From wakesurfing under summer skies to traveling side by side, these two truly do life together.

They met seven years ago while working at a gymnastics center, becoming friends first, which somehow makes everything that followed feel even more meaningful. Friendship turned into something deeper during the summer of 2019, spent out on the lake in the California sun, and from there, their story kept unfolding with intention. Devon, a ballet teacher with a lifelong devotion to the arts, moves through the world with grace and passion. Connor, who works at a BMW motorcycle dealership, has always been drawn to the outdoors and anything with two wheels, motorcycles, mountain bikes, freedom in motion. For weeks, Erika fed him by hand, sat by his side, and reminded him what hope felt like. He was determined to walk again, and more importantly, to kneel! When he finally did, it was in front of Erika, during what she thought was a Christmas photo session. With her grandmother’s ring in his hand, he asked her to marry him. And she, through tears and laughter, told him to stand up before he hurt his knee again! Their day was proof of something simple and true: love doesn’t just survive hard things. It shines brighter because of them.

Some love stories take a few unexpected detours before landing in just the right place. For Kassidy & Ryan, that place was their beautiful, sun-soaked Maui venue wedding at Gather Maui, simple, beautiful, and full of heart.

A couple of years ago, Ryan had originally planned to propose after a snowboarding trip in the mountains. The plan? Hit the slopes, have an epic day. Little did she know what was around the corner! A week later, on Valentine’s Day, Ryan asked her to marry him. Totally worth the wait.

A Maui venue wedding was the perfect setting for Reese and Logan. They are high school sweethearts, born-and-raised Alaskans, and quite possibly the most down-to-earth (but also photogenic!) couple we’ve ever met. Logan is about to start medical school in July 2025, but first, he’s getting hands-on experience working at a hospital. Reese, meanwhile, is still in college and dreaming big; she’s two years away from a marketing degree and has her heart set on opening a coffee shop someday. One day, they saw a TikTok asking couples their dream vacation spot. Both immediately answered: Hawaii. And just like that, the seed was planted. Why not turn their wedding into a tropical dream, too? Cue their decision to skip the typical wedding stress and say “aloha” to a Maui destination wedding! Neither Chris nor Kaylee had been to Hawaii before; Chris hadn’t even left his home state! But when the big day arrived, they were all in: glowing, beaming, and ready to start forever under the island sun. Their wedding was simple, stunning, and full of genuine joy. They said “I do,” surrounded by tropical blooms and warm ocean air, with just enough breeze to make Kaylee’s veil flutter.

There’s something universally magical about witnessing two people say “I do,” and Chad and Janet’s Maui venue wedding was the kind of love story that leaves your heart smiling for days. At Gather in Maui, surrounded by ocean breeze and golden light, their celebration unfolded with simplicity, elegance, and a whole lot of heart.

Let’s start with Janet, shall we? Because wow. She made her entrance like a scene straight out of a romance film. Radiant in her gown with a sweeping veil that floated like mist behind her, she walked with poise, grace, and just the right amount of joy peeking through every step. And Chad, standing under a beautifully adorned arch, set perfectly against the tropical backdrop, looked both awestruck and completely at peace as he watched his stunning bride come toward him. (Honestly, we’ll never get tired of that moment!)

Simplicity At Its Best

We love weddings of all shapes and sizes, but there’s something special about the ones that keep things simple and true to the couple. That’s exactly what this was. A heartfelt ceremony, filled with sweet glances, personal vows, and a palpable sense of “this is right.” The venue itself, Gather, was the perfect setting for this kind of day. With its modern island vibe, lush landscaping, and proximity to the ocean, it offered the best of both worlds: an intimate atmosphere and an epic backdrop.

After sealing their vows with a kiss, Chad and Janet snuck away to Southside Beach for their newlywed portraits. And oh, the sunset, Maui did not hold back! The sky painted itself in soft pinks, warm golds, and the kind of glowy light that photographers dream about. We couldn’t stop clicking the shutter as they strolled barefoot through the sand, stealing kisses and laughing like they were the only two people in the world. Aren’t they just gorgeous?
