They’ve been building a life together in Northern California, sharing adventures, passions, and a home with their three beloved parrots: Calliope, Winnie, and Lolli, who are, by all accounts, their feathered children. From wakesurfing under summer skies to traveling side by side, these two truly do life together.

They met seven years ago while working at a gymnastics center, becoming friends first, which somehow makes everything that followed feel even more meaningful. Friendship turned into something deeper during the summer of 2019, spent out on the lake in the California sun, and from there, their story kept unfolding with intention. Devon, a ballet teacher with a lifelong devotion to the arts, moves through the world with grace and passion. Connor, who works at a BMW motorcycle dealership, has always been drawn to the outdoors and anything with two wheels, motorcycles, mountain bikes, freedom in motion. Nearly seven years later, after building a life shaped by tides and tenacity. Riley is now serving with the United States Postal Service, and Garrett is working year-round as a commercial fisherman. Some love stories arrive slowly and that’s exactly how things unfolded for Karyna and Grigory. They met this spring at a concert in Vancouver, two people from opposite ends of the world, she from Kyiv, he from Novosibirsk, drawn together by timing, music, and something that felt instantly, quietly right. What followed was natural and fast and full of joy that you know this is your person. A Maui elopement was destined for them!

Life has carried them on winding paths. Karyna was a doctor in Ukraine before the war uprooted her life; now she works in aesthetic medicine in Vancouver. Grigory, a manager at Google in Seattle, has lived in the U.S. since 2012. He has two wonderful kids whom Karyna connects with beautifully, a detail she mentions with warmth that says everything. And then, one emotional evening by the ocean in Seattle, he proposed. The waves, the wind, the moment, it all felt a little like fate. And now we are happy to share a few moments from their big day! It truly was a dream come true for both of them!

Effortlessly Beautiful

Their Maui elopement was every shade of magical! Karyna stepped onto the beach in a full princess-style gown, layers of fabric catching the breeze like something straight from a fairytale. And Grigory looked effortlessly handsome in a blue linen suit. The ceremony was heartfelt and intimate, kissed by sunlight and framed by the rugged coastline that makes Ironwoods so breathtaking. When they said their vows, it felt like the entire island paused to listen.

Their newlywed portraits afterward on the dramatic cliffs were the perfect mix of elegance and playfulness, soft, romantic embraces, and then silly poses that had them laughing like teenagers. And when Karyna changed into her second dress? The whole vibe shifted into carefree, beachy celebration.

And then there’s Debbie and Peter’s Maui venue wedding at the Grand Wailea Chapel, which somehow managed to be all that and something more: elegant, emotional, and completely, wonderfully them.

The moment we stepped inside the chapel, it felt like entering a sacred space. That iconic stained-glass window, bursting with rainbows, plumeria blooms, and island scenes, wrapped the whole ceremony in a soft, celestial glow. As Debbie and Peter stood at the altar, framed by the colors of Maui itself, the scene looked almost too beautiful to be real. Their bridesmaids stood by their side in flowing ombré gowns, creating a vibrant, joyful palette of pinks and oranges that echoed the island’s own sunset tones. Our First Moments

And then came the joy, the radiant, throw-your-hands-in-the-air kind. The family photos outside the chapel were filled with so much laughter and celebration. Debbie, stunning in her feathered mini dress, and Peter, classic and handsome in his tux, looked like they stepped straight off the cover of a modern romance. Their energy was contagious, playful, elegant, and deeply in love.

After the ceremony, we wandered the Grand Wailea grounds, letting Maui’s golden light follow us. The palm trees, the fountains, the sweeping staircase, each spot became a backdrop for moments that felt impossibly cinematic. And when they reached the beach, leaning into each other as waves rolled in, the entire day came full circle. Timeless. Classic. Elegant!
