Wenting and Jacob decided to have a wedding in Hawaii because it’s the perfect location! Their ultimate goal was to have an intimate ceremony at a destination they could also spend their honeymoon. However, Maui’s tranquil environment and adventurous activities drew them in! This tropical getaway was their first time on the island — they couldn’t wait to experience this spot for themselves! Based on their smiles in these photos, you can tell they fell in love with this place.

The Peaceful Venue Wedding in Hawaii

Our delightful duo met during their time at the University of Connecticut! They were both Accounting Majors and happened to enroll in the same Federal Income Taxes class for the Fall of 2017. The universe works in magical ways because our passionate pair was in the same group for a semester-long project! Finally, on January 2, 2018, Wenting and Jacob began dating. 

Then on August 21, 2021, Jacob popped the question. Our handsome groom thought the best place to propose would be the same spot they met! After a calming summer-night walk around campus, Jacob asked Wenting for her hand in marriage. From there, the rest is history!

Currently, Jacob is a Senior Tax Associate at ASSA ABLOY, Inc. He enjoys mountain biking, hiking, and attending concerts in his free them. Wenting is a Tax Associate with KPMG and loves to paint! Our radiant newlyweds like going on adventures and trying new cuisine. Having a venue wedding in Hawaii was perfect because they got to explore the island and taste Maui’s delicious food!

The Location For Their Hawaii Vow Renewal

DT Fleming Beach never fails to make morning ceremonies feel dreamy and intimate. The vibrant sun was hanging high in the sky — this natural lighting made the occasion feel enchanting. In addition, there was no cloud coverage, making the dramatic mountain views clear as day! Then the exquisite landscapes on the seaside enhanced the romantic mood. You can see the cerulean waves, beige sand, and lush greenery decorating the background of every shot. Above all, we love how the long shoreline provided plenty of space for every guest to stand comfortably!

Our Couple’s Story

Lynnda and David celebrated forty years of love at their Hawaii vow renewal! This celebration was especially poignant because our passionate pair were originally married at a refugee camp, so they didn’t get to have a wedding in the traditional sense. There was no fancy dress or party after. Their lovely daughter made sure the second celebration had all the bells and whistles. The couple loved Maui because it reminds our lovely couple of home — Cambodia! They’ve also had magnificent trips and unforgettable explorations with their family here. What a beautiful cull circle moment this must have been for this couple, knowing how far they have come since their original wedding in the refugee camp 40 years ago.

Currently, David is retired, while Lynnda works for Boeing. They also have three beautiful daughters! You can find this gorgeous duo spending time with their five grandchildren and traveling in their spare time.

Maluaka Beach was the location for our charming couple’s ceremony! This destination is ideal for weddings because it has a long sandy shoreline and stunning sunsets! For Lizzie and Pete’s elopement, we set up for their event on the south end of the seaside. Surrounding them was epic lava rocks, lush greenery, and foamy azure waves! Then the sun shined vibrantly behind the heavy clouds — making the sky look enchanting.

After Kahu Ricardo Hanako’o pronounced Lizzie and Pete as husband and wife, it was time for their cake cutting! During this tradition, our delightful duo was full of bliss and in their own worlds. There was no doubt they enjoyed their first experience as a married pair! Not to mention, we adored seeing them share affectionate looks and smile joyfully throughout this occasion.

Although radiant newlyweds had no guests at their elopement, they ensured their loved ones could join in on the celebration! Stephan Boeker Films was the videographer and documented every moment of this sunset affair.

Then on January 1, 2022, Suman and Shane got engaged! Shane popped the question to Suman during a weekend getaway to downtown Boston. Adam was the first one to arrive at Ironwoods. Once he took his spot by Reverend Kimo Kirkman, it was time to begin the entrances! First, our delightful duo’s daughters walked down the sand and gracefully threw flower petals. After, it was our bride’s turn! Hillary walked down the beach with mom by her side. As expected, Adam’s face was full of nothing but adoration and love when he saw her!

To end this romantic beach wedding in Maui, Hillary and Adam had mini reception on the shoreline! Oren Masserman effortlessly played his ukulele as our radiant newlyweds had their first dance. They even had a sweet moment with their little girls during this tradition! Next, Hillary and Adam had a cake cutting and sparkling cider toast with their guests. Hayley and Andrew’s Maui destination wedding was family-oriented, memorable, and beautiful! When we began to plan their special day, we knew this event would be unforgettable. After meeting five years ago, Hayley and Andrew decided to tie the knot with a romantic ceremony at Gannon’s! This day was full of heartwarming moments, thoughtful decorations, and stunning scenery. Our Couple’s Story

Our charming couple’s story began when they met five years ago on Bumble. Hayley and Andrew found the perfect match in one another! Then when the time was right, Andrew planned an exciting proposal. He took Hayley on a scavenger hunt through Denver; she ended up in Boulder on the Colorado University Campus. Then, Andrew popped the question in front of a beautiful stone bridge! The scene was gorgeous; snow covered the trees as everything reflected into the pond.

Why We Love Their Maui Destination Wedding

The color scheme for this event paired beautifully with Gannon’s and the island’s natural beauty! You can see how exquisitely the soft pinks in the arch flowers pair with the fairytale-like greenery of the venue. Then Kahu Ricardo Hanako’o delivered a meaningful sermon! Lastly, enhancing the dreamy ambiance were soothing melodies played by Shem from Manutea Nui E. Andrew and Hayley chose a list of songs they loved and knew their guests would enjoy!

Currently, Hayley works at Eventbrite as a Program Manager, Talent Acquisition Operations. Then Andrew is an Accountant at a local airport in Denver, Colorado. You can find them road-tripping and hiking the National Parks in their spare time! Since our radiant newlyweds are adventurous, we knew a Maui destination wedding would be perfect for them.

This past summer, Hayley and Andrew purchased their first home. Now, they have a collection of portraits to hang on their walls!
