Annie and Sam’s destination wedding was the perfect excuse for them to visit Hawaii with their friends! They were thrilled at the prospect of getting married in one of the most beautiful places on earth and creating unforgettable memories they would cherish forever…

The excitement was palpable as Annie and Sam prepared for their big day. They couldn’t wait to see each other during their first look. It was heartwarming to see Sam’s reaction when he saw Annie for the first time! Their love was unmistakable, setting the tone for their beautiful ceremony, as you’ll see below!

Before their intimate ceremony, Annie and Sam took full advantage of the stunning surroundings at Hyatt Regency Maui Resort & Spa to capture some memorable portraits. This venue provides a beautiful variety of backdrops, from the ALOHA sign to the pristine beach in front of the resort. As you can see, they loved every moment while walking around hand in hand before they said, “I do!”

Our New Beginning

As they exchanged vows in front of their loved ones, there were laughs, tears, and every happy emotion in between! It was a beautiful celebration of love, bringing everyone together in joyous harmony. Annie and Sam looked forward to starting their new life together as husband and wife, with plans to start a family after their lovely time in Maui next year!

Their Maui venue wedding was an unforgettable experience combining breathtaking scenery, the smell of the ocean in the air, and shared laughing moments between family and friends. It was truly a dream come true for this happy couple, who couldn’t have asked for anything more on their special day!

Imagine meeting the love of your life in grade school…Anjelica and David can! David was Anjelica’s brother’s best friend from the second grade. We were deeply touched to hear this sweet love story before their Maui venue wedding! Their big day was an intimate and elegant affair that celebrated the love that had spanned their whole lives! Before celebrating with their excited and joyful friends and family, we snapped a few portraits on the beach. What a beautiful pair they make! We love the tropical flair of Anjelica’s bridal look with her vibrant flower crown and bouquet. It was just the pop of color that brought the “wow” factor! And David’s salmon-colored suit was so refreshing to see! He looked so handsome, and it felt unique yet laid-back…perfect for a tropical wedding in Hawaii!

How far they have come from those early days! These two were meant to be together from the beginning, and you can tell through the feeling and love in these photographs… An incredible love story of an incredible couple!

We are so excited to share these images from Carly & Jason’s Maui Destination Wedding! We met them last Tuesday morning for a romantic and fun ceremony at the Hyatt Maui Resort. Palm trees gently swayed overhead, and a pastel cloud cover lent a dreamy hue to the celebrations.

Everything was picture perfect: The backdrop, the scenery, the relaxed atmosphere. But our favorite part was Carly & Jason — This sweet couple brought the perfect balance of excitement and emotion. Plus, they look amazing!

These Lifelong Memories

Carly & Jason are high school sweethearts who have been together for over ten years. They were prom dates, cheered each other on through college applications and big adventures, and became grown-ups together.

During college, they weathered the ups and downs of a long-distance relationship and ended up stronger because of it. And when the timing was right, they began their life together in Minnesota. No longer the fresh-faced teenagers they once were, but still youthful and adventurous.

They brought this incredible energy to their Maui Destination Wedding. Jason had visited Hawaii multiple times in his life and always felt drawn to the warm, inviting spirit of the islands. Carly’s parents wed on the Big Island, so marrying Jason here felt meant to be. Besides, she worked at a wedding venue back home and wanted something small and meaningful for their nuptials.

And so that’s how fate brought Carly & Jason together, and how it also brought them to us. Being their Maui wedding coordinator was an absolute joy, and we loved being a part of their ceremony!

More to Cherish: Maui Destination Wedding Photography

After Carly & Jason said “I Do” and officially became husband & wife, it was time for even more fun. Their Maui Wedding Package included ceremony coverage and portraits from Karma Hill Photography. This meant they not only got breathtaking images of their vows, but they also got to take pictures around the grounds of the Hyatt.

We started with some group photos with their guests. They included a small group of loved ones in their Maui Destination Wedding. They were all so sweet and having the best time at the ceremony!

Then it was time for the newlyweds to take a romantic stroll around the property. The Hyatt features lots of beautiful areas for photos. Carly & Jason took advantage of its oceanfront setting and then went into the gardens, where swans and waterfalls awaited them.

Last week we got to be a part of this gorgeous Maui Destination Wedding! It was a bright blue morning with a bright, beautiful couple. Chelsea & Brandon are the sweetest of sweethearts, and their ceremony dazzled with personality and love.

A Hyatt Wedding in Kaanapali

The morning views along the Kaanapali coastline are simply breathtaking. We aren’t allowed to have weddings on Kaanapali Beach, but we can do something even better: we can use the beautiful hotel grounds at the Hyatt Regency Maui for a wedding!

Chelsea & Brandon wed on the Japengo Lawn for their Maui Destination Wedding. Japengo is an amazing Maui restaurant, but in the mornings when it’s closed, their oceanside lawn is a scenic blank canvas for any tropical wedding.

Dellables Floral created a driftwood arch with pastel arrangements, and Rev. Joe officiated the ceremony. Every moment of Chelsea & Brandon’s wedding was so heartfelt, from their emotional first look to their tearful vows to their celebratory walk back up the aisle.

Photography for a Maui Destination Wedding

The fun didn’t end when Chelsea & Brandon said “I Do.” They still had access to the Hyatt Maui’s beautiful grounds and time with their Karma Hill wedding photographer.

They booked a brunch at Japengo, so their guests could kick back and enjoy the ocean views while the newlyweds took some portraits. They started at the altar, the perfect frame for an early-morning kiss. Then they headed over to the suspension bridge, which is surrounded by immaculate landscaping.

They finished their portraits by a dreamy waterfall, which was a romantic setting for a post-wedding stroll.

Before long, it was time for Chelsea & Brandon to join their guests at their Maui Destination Wedding reception, where they could eat, drink, mingle, and bask in their newlywed glow.

We give this couple and their Hyatt Maui wedding a 10/10. Beautiful inside and out, totally in love, and as radiant as a sunny Hawaii day!

Megan and Paul’s Maui destination wedding was unlike anything we’ve ever seen! Their ceremony was a classic affair with personal twists our lovely couple added to make it their own. Our charming couple chose to tie the knot at the Hyatt Regency’s Makai Lawn. We love this spot because it is intimate and a few steps away from the sand at Ka’anapali beach! Megan and Paul got the best of both worlds with this venue! Their ceremony was at this private location while the salty seaside exquisitely decorated the backdrop. In addition, enhancing the dreamy mood was the island’s scenery and tropical weather! You can see the lush lawn, lofty palm trees, and the sun’s radiant glow in every portrait.

Why We Adore Their Maui Destination Wedding

This day started with us capturing getting ready portraits of Megan as she prepared for this significant occasion. Then, when they were ready, Paul and his father arrived at the ceremony location. Paul took his spot in front of the circle arch by the officiant, Rev. Kimo Kirkman. Finally, our breathtaking bride walked down the aisle, and Megan made a confident grand entrance!

However, we like Megan and Paul dressed for their Maui destination wedding! Our bride’s gown from Anna Kara is elegant and airy, while her styling by MeiLi Autumn Beauty is glamorous and chic. Our groom’s Harry Rosen suit is a delicate shade of green — it complements Megan’s dress perfectly! Not to mention, Paul’s attire is sharp and sophisticated!

The Meaningful Maui Destination Wedding

Our charming couple’s special day was an effortless balance between modern and tropical styles! The Makai Lawn at the Hyatt Regency set the scene for this event, and we wouldn’t have chosen a different location. Sweeping ocean views, lofty palm trees, and a clear blue sky decorated the background enchantingly. After the ceremony, everyone walked a few yards to the reception location for cocktails and appetizers!

Our Couple’s Story

Molly and Toby first met one another twenty-four years ago, when Molly got her first job at a water park. Then, she was sixteen, and he was eighteen, but Molly had a school-girl crush on him! They remained in touch during their college years; until they lost contact with one another. 

Fast forward seven years later! Molly had just become newly single and wanted to try online dating. Then she saw a familiar face: Toby! He invited her to meet up with him and his buddies for beer and football one day. They’ve been inseparable ever since!

Cassidy and Alec already knew what they wanted to do when they tied the knot. However, they couldn’t decide on where. After doing some research, they agreed a Maui venue elopement would be the best choice! Our beautiful couple decided to hold their wedding on the intimate Japengo Lawn at the Hyatt Regency. Surrounding this knoll are sweeping ocean views, lofty palm trees, and dramatic mountains in the distance! You can see how all of the stunning landscapes at this location create exquisite tropical backdrops. Above all, it was the perfect morning to have a wedding! The weather was clear, and this lawn provided a tranquil spot for the ceremony.

Why We Love Their Maui Venue Elopement

We adore how flawlessly Cassidy and Alec dressed for this morning affair! Cassidy is a breathtaking boho-chic bride in her sleek lace gown. Not to mention, her hair and makeup by Giovanna Avila go splendidly with her dress. Then our groom looks sophisticated and sharp in his steel-gray suit — no doubt his outfit will go nicely with his deep green maile lei!

During Reverend Joe Miles’ sermon, Karma Hill Photography captured many affectionate moments between our gorgeous couple. In every picture, you can even see their loving smiles and blissful glow. However, our favorite thing about Cassidy and Alec’s elopement was how this day focused on them and their love for one another. Our passionate pair’s wedding was remarkable because it was just the two of them.

Our Couple’s Story

Alec and Cassidy’s story began when they met at a college bar while attending Indiana State University. After graduating, our newlyweds moved to Columbus, Ohio! Currently, Cassidy is a National Sales Recruiter, while Alec is an Electrical Engineer for Honda. Last year, this radiant couple got engaged after celebrating the purchase of their first home! Now, they have plenty of pictures from their venue elopement in Maui to hang on the walls of their house!

Last week, we had the pleasure of helping Katy and Kevin tie the knot! With the bright sun was above them and stunning views surrounding them — everything about their Maui venue wedding was exquisite! Keep scrolling to experience this sunset event for yourself.

This bamboo arch looks impeccable at the front of the ceremony lawn! You can see how simple the delicate white fabric is, while the pastel floral arrangement is elegant!

Katy and Kevin arrived at the ceremony lawn together. Our bride & groom made a breathtaking entrance side by side. Their faces were full of nothing but pure bliss as they walked down the aisle! Our lovely couple’s two sons stood by Kevin while their three daughters stood by Katy.

The Lighthearted Maui Venue Wedding

Katy and Kevin’s special day was fun, passionate, and magical! Reverend Kuya was the officiant, and he delivered a sermon with a delightful message. He was high-spirited and energetic throughout the ceremony and even made our joyful couple smile a few times! Then when it was time for music, Oren from Barefoot Minded played songs fitting the mood on his ukulele. His soothing tunes only enhanced the romantic ambiance created by this magnificent venue!

Setting the scene for this wedding was the Makai lawn at the Hyatt Regency. The sun was in its golden hour and shined warmly on the lush grass, making this event feel like a fairytale! Being only one step away from Ka’anapali Beach, you can see the ocean sparkling dreamily in the background. We like this venue because of how spacious it is. There was plenty of room for all thirty-three guests to sit comfortably and view the ceremony!

We love Katy’s custom bouquet by Dellables! You can see how the soft neutral tones balance flawlessly with the rich blush and mauve hues. Our bride made a great decision with this arrangement. It is fresh and boho — ideal for a fall venue wedding in Maui!

Karma Hill Photography captured so many heartwarming moments of our charming couple with their family. This shot is one of our favorites! We adore how they effortlessly captured everyone’s cheerful expressions and the enchanting ambiance. Not to mention, our stunning newlyweds have a radiant glow on their faces. Why They Had A Maui Venue Wedding

On 03/28/2020, Daniel popped the question while our charming couple was hiking with their friends. They got engaged when the pandemic first started, but they did not know how long it would last. When Mallory and Daniel began planning their special day, was when they first found Simple Maui Wedding. And they immediately knew they wanted to work with us! 

Our stunning couple was supposed to tie the knot on 11/17/2020, but they had to cancel because of COVID. After this, Mallory and Daniel attempted to plan more weddings on the mainland. Unfortunately, nothing ever felt right for them. The third time was when our gorgeous bride and groom knew they wanted to make their destination wedding a reality! Finally, everything worked out flawlessly. Our lovely couple became newlyweds on 11/17/2021!

The Hyatt Regency’s Japengo Lawn set the stage for this intimate venue wedding in Maui! Fluffy clouds were covering the blue sky, but they didn’t dim the sun’s brilliant rays. You can see how the soaring palm trees and the sapphire ocean create an enchanting scene! We like how the circle arch with foliage makes this venue look as if it’s out of a fairytale! Above all, we can’t picture this passionate pair tying the knot anywhere else because everything about this ceremony is captivating!

Do you hear those wedding bells ringing? We are thrilled to announce our newest Maui Wedding Venue at the Hyatt Regency in Kaʻanapali! While you may only hear the bells in your heart, this oceanfront venue is guaranteed to fill your wedding with the very real sounds of the rolling tides and tropical breezes.

To celebrate being able to offer yet another stunning venue to our couples, and to help welcome in a new wedding season of warmth, health, and vitality, we gathered our good friends at Karma Hill Photography, Dellables Floral Artistry, Salon 253, and Elly’s Formal Wear to create a styled shoot with all the island beauty and wedding magic a couple could ask for. 

The Maui Wedding Venue

Situated in the heart of Kaʻanapali, the Hyatt Regency overlooks the westernmost coast of Maui, which means spectacular sunsets and sweeping ocean views. This is the definition of a beach-front wedding venue! For added customizability, we are offering two ceremony locations at the Hyatt Regency: the Makai Lawn (featured in this blog) and the Japengo Lawn.

The Makai Lawn is only available for sunset weddings and can host up to 70 guests. While the Japengo Lawn is available for morning weddings with a guest limit of 20 and sits above the beach path. Both locations feature sweeping panoramic views of the ocean.

Our Spectacular Vendors

Coordinating this styled shoot at our newest wedding venue truly felt like we were basking at the beach. The crisp smell of the ocean paired beautifully with the sweet scent of the gorgeous florals. Our good friends at Dellables blew us away with an asymmetrical custom arch of roses and bursts of greenery, artfully tying in the blushing hues of the late afternoon sun and tropical shoreline.

Wearing attire gifted to us for the day by Elly’s Formal Wear, our couple looked chic and sophisticated. We’re loving the groom’s clean-cut suit with a pressed undershirt for a classic touch. The delicate lace details of the bridal gown seem to pull inspiration from the bride’s custom spring bouquet, perfectly pairing with the loose bun and bold brow and lip by Salon 253. The team at Salon 253 didn’t forget about our Groom model, his long hair was swept up into the perfect formal man bun, inspired by Harry Styles.

The Venue Details

Getting married at the Hyatt Regency not only comes with an unparalleled view, but it also comes with an abundance of perks. This Maui wedding venue offers several onsite options to follow your ceremony: an intimate dinner for two, a private room at one of the resort’s world-class restaurants, a simple and beautiful brunch, a Luau onsite, or the ability to rent out a private event space so all of your guests can celebrate with you!

Following the staged (yet take-your-breath-away lovely) nuptials, our couple stepped onto the sand for sunset shots against the ocean backdrop. State permitting laws restrict our photographers from setting foot on the beach, requiring them to capture images from the venue terrace.
