Have you ever wondered how childhood friendships can transform into lifelong love stories? Well, for Sam and Josh, their journey from kindergarten pals to soulmates is nothing short of magical. We are so excited to share the enchanting story of their Maui venue wedding, celebrating their love and the beginning of their forever together! These two were just the sweetest!

Sam and Josh’s love story traces back to their small hometown in Northern California, where they met as kindergarteners. From that moment on, their bond grew stronger with each passing year and life’s trials. Josh, a wonderful friend, captured Sam’s heart, and after 11 years together, they couldn’t wait to tie the knot, as you’ll see below finally!

Maui Was The Best Choice

But first, we have to share how Josh proposed! His proposal to Sam was nothing short of perfect. It took place during a sunset stargazing tour on Haleakalā in 2019. With the twinkling Hawaiian sky as their backdrop, Josh seized the opportunity to pop the question. Needless to say, this gave them the idea to have a Maui venue wedding!

Sam and Josh felt incredibly fortunate to plan their dream destination wedding in Hawaii. Returning to Maui seemed like the perfect choice, surrounded by their close friends and family. As nature enthusiasts, they had always envisioned a nature-based wedding, and the tropical paradise of Maui provided the ideal backdrop.

Their wedding venue, Gather, embraces the natural beauty of Maui. The driftwood arch by our talented floral partner Dellables and breathtaking views created an intimate and romantic atmosphere. Surrounded by lush greenery and the love of their family and friends, Sam and Josh exchanged their vows, radiating happiness and love. It was a truly magical setting for their celebration!

The Best Of Friends

How adorable are these two?! You can feel the overwhelming sense of love and joy in these portraits. As Josh noted before their Maui venue wedding, he hoped it would feel “joyous and relaxed…” These two are the picture-perfect examples of it! From childhood friends to husband and wife, these love birds have been forever connected and meant to be from the start. They both look lovely – Sam’s lace gown, paired with her tropical blooms with a magenta bow accent, was just perfect. And Josh opted for a classic and effortless navy suit! They make a stylish pair, don’t they?

As Sam and Josh celebrated their union on the nearby enchanting Southside Beach, they stole a moment alone as newlyweds. In that quiet embrace, they embraced the joy and excitement of their future together…Maui will always hold a special place in their hearts!
