You know that trope in romantic comedies where two people with wildly different hobbies fall madly in love and somehow make it all work? That’s Taylor and Andrew. She rides majestic dressage horses with the kind of poise that would make even a Disney princess feel underdressed. He rolls around (gracefully, we assume) in Jiu-Jitsu classes. Together? Let’s rewind just a bit. Taylor and Andrew met through mutual friends (thank you, universe)! And eventually found themselves engaged on a literal cliff in the Arkansas Ozark Mountains. Yes, a cliff. With panoramic views and enough drama to rival any Jane Austen adaptation. Which, frankly, set the bar pretty high for their Maui wedding venue.

But Taylor had never been to Hawaii before and if you’re going to choose a place for your first-ever Hawaiian experience, it might as well be Maui, right? Andrew had been before and together they decided, hey, let’s get married AND honeymoon here. One flight. Double the magic!

With the Pacific sparkling in the distance, soft petals drifting on the breeze, and sunlight filtering through the trees like nature’s own spotlight, it was the kind of setting that made everyone collectively sigh.

Taylor walked toward Andrew with that once-in-a-lifetime kind of glow, and he looked at her like he already knew he’d just made the best decision of his life. The intimacy of the moment, the gentle hush of the ocean in the background, and the fragrance of plumeria in the air, it all felt like Maui itself was giving them its blessing.

Let’s talk about fate and a Maui venue wedding. Not the cosmic, shooting stars, “I knew it when I saw them across the room” kind of fate. No, I’m talking about potsticker fate. The kind where you’re a little tipsy, it’s way past midnight, and you hand a stranger a steaming dumpling as a parting gift — and then, boom. You accidentally meet the love of your life.

That’s exactly how it started for this adorably introverted, karaoke-loving, sushi-obsessed couple. A potsticker. A mutual friend. And Arnell, who knew immediately that there was something special about her. She, on the other hand, was in her “I’m staying single, thanks” era. But Arnell? Persistent. Kind. Low-key charming. And eventually, very, very successful.

The whole day felt like one long exhale, the kind where everything just makes sense. Their decision to swap a high-effort backyard wedding for a Maui destination celebration? Best idea ever! Not only did it mean less stress and more fun, it gave them something they truly value: a day focused on joy, love, and connection. And of course, aloha! Their Maui venue wedding was an intimate celebration of love, joy, and commitment. It meant the world to them to have their loved ones present.

With their closest people surrounding them, they laughed, hugged, and promised forever. The celebration was intimate but full of energy and brimming with love. They snuck away for some newlywed portraits that surely will leave anyone’s jaw on the floor! From the peaceful blue sky to a sunset that looked straight out of a postcard, the scenery was impossibly photogenic, only outshined by this gorgeous couple!

From San Diego to Oahu to Maui, these two have written a love story filled with shared playlists, quiet nights, and joyful chaos. They balance each other beautifully, have a room that is apparently never quiet (thanks, gaming + karaoke), and now they have a marriage as grounded and joyful as the island they chose to celebrate on.
