Let’s be honest, if there were an Olympic event for juggling work, family, and wedding planning with equal parts grace and humor, Brittany and Amanda would absolutely take gold. Together, they’re a powerhouse couple who work in advertising by day, cheer on their five (yes, five) amazing kids by evening, and still somehow find time to squeeze in workouts, concerts, and the occasional game of pickleball. Honestly, superheroes wear flip-flops now.

Their Maui beach wedding wasn’t just a celebration, it was a homecoming. These two have known each other for years, but their love story really took root right here on the Valley Isle in 2021. That’s right: Maui was their beginning. So it only felt right to return to this sun-kissed paradise to celebrate the next chapter, this time with their full, blended crew beside them.

Andrea, who works for the state of Oregon auditing group homes, and Katee, who connects people with higher education at a university, share a love for their three dogs and two cats, as well as traveling and trying new restaurants. When Ashley decided to pop the question, she chose a setting as enchanting as their love—a music festival nestled beneath a canopy of trees. With a tiny bottle hidden inside a fairy house, Ashley’s proposal was as whimsical and romantic as their love story itself.

After a memorable first date at The Original Pancake House (where love was discovered over a bite of bacon), their journey together began!

Over the years, Jessica and Dominique embarked on countless adventures – from getting a house with friends (which didn’t turn out as planned) to welcoming Max & Milo into their lives. They even worked side by side at Jimmy Johns, creating cherished memories along the way. In December of 2019, on a chilly evening beside the Millennium Monument in Millennium Park, Jessica proposed to Dominique. With tears and laughter, Dominique said yes, and the couple celebrated by watching ice skaters and enjoying pizza before boarding their train back to Cleveland. It all started online, when fate intervened. After Dan’s former partner passed away, Chris reached out to offer his condolences and support. Little did they know that this compassionate gesture would blossom into something truly extraordinary. They started dating in January 2020, and their love grew stronger with each passing day. Their bond was undeniable, and they decided to take the leap and got engaged in November 2021. And guess where the magical proposal took place? In their very own treehouse, tucked away in the back of their house, which holds a special place in their hearts. So we are beyond excited to share their special sunkissed day with you!

Tropical Blessings

Their Maui venue wedding was an elegant and enchanting affair, filled with Jewish traditions and adorned with a stunning chuppah. As Dan’s children stood by their side, the atmosphere was filled with love and joy. In addition, the simple blessings from the little ones added an extra layer of sweetness to the celebration. Everyone present was overjoyed to share in the happiness of this beautiful couple!

Dan and Chris originally booked their Maui venue wedding at Olowalu Plantation, but due to the recent wildfires on the island, our nimble wedding coordinators were able to seamlessly transition their celebration to Hotel Wailea on the South Side. And as you can see, it was just as dreamy as they could have ever hoped for!

After the ceremony, the newlyweds strolled hand-in-hand on Southside Beach for some incredibly romantic portraits. Against the backdrop of Maui’s natural beauty, their love radiated just like the setting sun. The island seemed to bless them with an awe-inspiring sunset! It was a moment where time stood still, and their hearts were filled with gratitude and joy!

When these two first contacted us to book a wedding package, we asked what their vision for the day was. We love what they said:

“Relaxed. Easy-going… This is paradise — we are literally surrounded by paradise.“

They wanted a classic yet modern Hawaii wedding and spent years looking forward to it. This hard-working pair were together for 11 years before tying the knot, and it was worth the wait.

Today we’re sharing some favorite images from Christopher & Garrett’s Kapalua wedding and some insight into how we brought their vision to life. Check it all out below!

Creating Their Life

Is a Kapalua Wedding worth the wait? We hope we impressed these two great guys and created a warm, welcoming place for them to celebrate their love.

Christopher & Garrett met online in 2012 and quickly realized they were the perfect match. They soon felt married in their hearts, but decided to wait for their actual wedding until they completed school.

Now they’re both nurses and have built a beautiful life together. And as they grew and changed together, they also saw the world grow and change.

They’ve been looking forward to their wedding for 11 years, so that’s a lot of pressure! Luckily Christopher & Garrett discovered the scenic simplicity of a Kapalua wedding and decided it would be perfect for them.

We love how their day turned out. Their guests were excited and joyful, eager to provide support and fanfare. And Christopher & Garrett were absolutely radiant. Scroll down to see more photos from Karma Hill Photography!

From First Hawaii Visits to a Kapalua Wedding

This wasn’t Christopher & Garrett’s first time in Hawaii. In fact, they got engaged on Oahu. It was just the two of them on a secluded beach under a rainbow. They’ve always loved visiting the islands, so a gorgeous Kapalua wedding was the perfect fit.

They were joined by a small group of loved ones — siblings, nieces, friends. But they were sure to get in some alone time too.

After a joyful ceremony on the lawn of the Steeple House, we headed to nearby Ironwoods Beach. This is a vast, breezy location with sea cliffs and glistening sand — one of the best places for Maui wedding portraits.

So as the sun set, we got a few final pictures of the newlyweds and then sent them on their way to celebrate with their guests. We are so happy we got to be a part of Christopher & Garrett’s Kapalua wedding!

After working together for years, it was only in 2020 did Alex and Janna realize there was something more. Fast forward years later, and they are now tying the knot at their Maui elopement! It was a simple and elegant affair, surrounded by close friends and family under the bright morning sun. When Janna visited Maui, she knew she wanted to get married in Hawaii! Our talented team of wedding coordinators made that dream possible for both of them, as you’ll see below!

The Best Morning

It was a bright blue sunny morning at Polo Beach for their intimate Maui elopement, making their wedding photos vibrant and colorful! Morning ceremonies are generally brighter and bolder due to the clear and intense sun. But our lovely couple was so excited to get married right on the beach first thing in the morning! We love how Janna and Alex chose nontraditional colors like lilac and deep green (with white, of course!)for their wedding attire; they complemented each other beautifully. The only missing guests were their furry “kids” back at home!

With many cheers, laughs, and hugs, our happy newlyweds walked further down the beach for some more intimate portraits with just the two of them. Janna and Alex are completely wrapped up in the romance of the moment in these photos, with the tropical setting in the distance…Thankfully, they had each other by their side to walk across the lava rocks to look out to the sea…and their future!

Congratulations, Alex and Janna! It was a joy to coordinate your big day! May you have many more years of love, laughter, and peace together!
