Sami and Angelica’s magical Maui venue wedding was a celebration as vibrant as the couple themselves! Sami, a 30-year-old corporate attorney from Houston, and Angelica, a 26-year-old data scientist, have been weaving their love story together since 2016. Initially connected through the digital world, they embraced the challenges of a long-distance relationship. They grew closer with each shared moment until they triumphantly closed the distance in 2022.

Their big day unfolded at the enchanting Pineapple Chapel, a place that held special memories from their engagement on this tranquil island. Surrounded by the lush beauty of Maui, the setting was nothing short of stunning. The couple’s choice of venue perfectly mirrored their personalities—unique, breathtaking, and full of life. Tropical Elegance

As they exchanged vows, the atmosphere was filled with warmth and love from close family members who joined them on this significant day. Sami and Angelica, despite not having kids yet share their home with two mischievous cats who undoubtedly bring plenty of entertainment to their game nights. Whether indulging in good food and cocktails or battling it out on board and in video games, this duo knows how to keep life exciting. Their celebration reflected their bond and how they both value simplicity, elegance, and meaning. Sometimes simple and elegant really is best! And the tropical flowers were the perfect touch!

After their heartfelt ceremony, the newlyweds took a scenic excursion to the iconic Ironwoods Beach. Against the backdrop of rugged cliffs and the vast, mesmerizing ocean, Sami and Angelica looked incredibly happy and radiant. Their joy was as boundless as the waves crashing on the rocks below, and they looked every bit the picture-perfect couple.

With their Maui adventure marking the beginning of a new chapter, Sami and Angelica’s wedding was truly an amazing celebration of love and commitment. Congratulations to the happy couple! Ready For Our Vows

Opting for an intimate destination wedding in Maui with only immediate family, Andrea and Jacob wanted a ceremony that broke away from tradition and offered a memorable experience for all involved. The choice to have their ceremony at the picturesque Kapalua at the Steeple House, set against a stunning floral arch, added a touch of elegance to their beachy affair. Surrounded by loved ones, they exchanged vows in a setting that felt both special and uniquely theirs.

With a history intertwined with water – from meeting on a fishing dock to getting engaged on a beach in Key West – it was only fitting that they continued their love story by saying “I do” in Hawaii. The newlywed portraits by the water captured their happiness and the shimmering beauty of the ocean, symbolizing the strong theme of water running through their relationship. Their Maui venue wedding was exactly the day that they envisioned! Andrea looked incredibly standing on the cliffside in her white gown. A true vision! And Jacob looked very handsome in his linen sand-colored suit. Together, they make such a gorgeous couple! We couldn’t be happier for them…

This happy couple, who both work remotely in Seattle, wanted their wedding to be the best vacation yet – and they definitely succeeded! It was an amazing day surrounded by their nearest and dearest, as you’ll see in the highlights below!

Sacred & Special

The gorgeous grounds at Steeple House in Kapalua where it all happened…their sacred commitment to love, cherish, and honor each other for the rest of their lives… The gravity of this moment never surpasses all of us at Simple Maui Wedding!

Surrounded by friends and family, our lovely couple looked absolutely radiant with joy as they tied the knot. The stone terrace and stairs, especially at the Steeple House, provided a majestic spot for their ceremony and portraits, highlighting their love and connection truly breathtakingly! The sunshine filtering through the trees only added to the magic of their lovely day. Getting married in Maui was a dream come true! (Their dog is even named Maui!)

These love birds met online in 2018, and on their third dating anniversary, Edwin proposed during a hike to a waterfall picnic. It was just the two of them, and the moment was absolutely perfect! Now the moment they made it official, it’s really happening! Introducing Mr. & Mrs. Lantigua!

The expansive lawn at the Steeple House provided ample space and opportunities for photo ops for the happy couple. The bright blue sky and greenery make their Maui wedding photos feel so light and airy! As they looked out onto the ocean, it reminded us their Maui venue wedding was just the beginning of their next adventure together!

Christopher & Garrett had a gorgeous Kapalua Wedding last week, and it was our great honor to be their coordinator. The Steeple House offered a scenic, comfortable setting, and the sweet couple brought a romantic, giddy energy. What a joy!

When these two first contacted us to book a wedding package, we asked what their vision for the day was. We love what they said:

“Relaxed. Easy-going… This is paradise — we are literally surrounded by paradise.“

They wanted a classic yet modern Hawaii wedding and spent years looking forward to it. This hard-working pair were together for 11 years before tying the knot, and it was worth the wait.

Today we’re sharing some favorite images from Christopher & Garrett’s Kapalua wedding and some insight into how we brought their vision to life. Check it all out below!

Creating Their Life

Is a Kapalua Wedding worth the wait? We hope we impressed these two great guys and created a warm, welcoming place for them to celebrate their love.

Christopher & Garrett met online in 2012 and quickly realized they were the perfect match. They soon felt married in their hearts, but decided to wait for their actual wedding until they completed school.

Now they’re both nurses and have built a beautiful life together. And as they grew and changed together, they also saw the world grow and change.

They’ve been looking forward to their wedding for 11 years, so that’s a lot of pressure! Luckily Christopher & Garrett discovered the scenic simplicity of a Kapalua wedding and decided it would be perfect for them.

We love how their day turned out. Their guests were excited and joyful, eager to provide support and fanfare. And Christopher & Garrett were absolutely radiant. Scroll down to see more photos from Karma Hill Photography!

From First Hawaii Visits to a Kapalua Wedding

This wasn’t Christopher & Garrett’s first time in Hawaii. In fact, they got engaged on Oahu. It was just the two of them on a secluded beach under a rainbow. They’ve always loved visiting the islands, so a gorgeous Kapalua wedding was the perfect fit.

They were joined by a small group of loved ones — siblings, nieces, friends. But they were sure to get in some alone time too.

After a joyful ceremony on the lawn of the Steeple House, we headed to nearby Ironwoods Beach. This is a vast, breezy location with sea cliffs and glistening sand — one of the best places for Maui wedding portraits.

So as the sun set, we got a few final pictures of the newlyweds and then sent them on their way to celebrate with their guests. We are so happy we got to be a part of Christopher & Garrett’s Kapalua wedding!

Why did Katie and Justin love the idea of a Maui venue wedding? Katie’s brother had been married in Maui five years ago, and she fell in love with the simplicity, beauty, and laid-back vibe of the island. So when it came time to choose a wedding destination, there was no doubt where they would go!

Once they settled on the idea of tying the knot in paradise, they chose Steeple House for their special day. It provided the privacy and simplicity for their intimate celebration with close friends and family. The couple loved the idea of being surrounded by only those closest to them on this big day as you can imagine! Their friends and family were excited for the upcoming trip, making it all even more special…

Last week we had the privilege to capture Erin and Michael’s Maui venue wedding! It was an intimate celebration with their close friends and family. They embraced the island’s easy, go-with-the-flow attitude, as you’ll see in their photos below of their big day! Keep reading to see highlights of their incredible Maui venue wedding…

So to begin, their ceremony was at The Steeple House at Kapalua, and the weather was divine! Surrounded by a close group of friends and family, they exchanged their vows in the shimmering Maui sun. As nature lovers, Erin and Michael knew they wanted to make their sacred commitment to each other outdoors for their Maui venue wedding. So when it came down to planning, we suggested this venue because of its epic background and dramatic lava rock cliffs, as you’ll see below!

Creating A Life Together – Their Story

As they exchanged our vows, we were reminded how our charming couple met – on a dating app! But, once they met in person, they felt a very special connection between them. After dating for six years, they wanted to create a life together and build a solid foundation of love, trust, and respect. It’s heartwarming to hear each couple’s personal tributes and values! You can tell in the photos they are the best of friends! They both enjoy hiking, biking, kayaking, and everything in between…

Since our stunning pair loves to spend quality time together outdoors, it’s no wonder they chose Maui for their venue wedding! They had been to Maui twice before and knew instantly, because of its raw natural beauty and seclusion, that this was where they finally wanted to tie the knot!

After their simple yet elegant ceremony, they were joined by their warm and loving family. Their parents were so proud! Everyone carried the aloha spirit throughout the day, as you can see. We love it when our couples embrace the island’s go-with-the-flow attitude!

Isn’t she a vision in white? Erin looks gorgeous in her deep V gown and her tropical bouquet. The lace detail along the front and back was exquisite! Michael came to join her, and you could instantly feel the chemistry and profound love between the two. It’s always a joy for us to shoot newlywed’s first private moments together because their personalities shine through! Suddenly, a gust of wind blew open Michael’s suit only to reveal a tropical print lining inside – how fitting!

Cliffside Romance

What an epic ending to a wonderful day! The cliffside photos were our favorites of the day…the ocean is very unpredictable, so to capture these dramatic waves and splashes against the rocks was incredible! Thankfully, neither of them got soaking wet! Instead, they were giggling and in awe at the sheer power of the waves, although we wouldn’t expect anything less from these two lovebirds!

A Hawaiian wish that came to life for our sweet couple! Kaitlin & Christopher’s Maui venue wedding was nothing short of a dream. We were beyond thrilled that these two love birds finally tied the knot in Maui! Getting married in Maui has been Kaitlin’s dream ever since she was young, so to see it come to life was heartwarming. It’s always exciting for our photographers to catch glimpses of our beautiful brides getting ready. Kaitlin was no different, she said she was equally as excited as a bit nervous! She looked absolutely glowing in her frothy gown, we adored the sparkly details in her shoes and hair too – pure perfection! By the time she was dressed, she couldn’t wait to finally show Christopher!

Their Love Story

Their story is a modern romance! Our darling couple met on a dating site and sparks flew when they discovered they had so much in common! They are big foodies and love spending quality time with their black lab, Charlie. Six years later they got engaged and their families couldn’t have been happier.

Kaitlin’s grandmother was actually born in Maui so the island holds a special place in her heart. Sadly, she had passed before their big day but you could feel her love and presence showering them all day. We were honored to photograph their big day with this in mind!

Tropical Elegance – Maui Venue Wedding

Our lovely couple wanted a scenic location with sweeping views for their quiet and intimate ceremony, so they opted for Steeple House, which was perfect for their Maui venue wedding! We love this venue because it offers a traditional ceremony area and easy beach access to Ironwoods, a secluded stretch of beach! Because Kaitlin has a familial tie to the island, she knew she wanted to capture their first newlywed moments on the beach… as you’ll see below, the photographs came out beautiful!

An Ocean Dream

The ocean waves were steadily rolling when we got down to the beach after their Maui venue wedding. The cloudier skies made everything look soft and pastel in color – so flattering! Opposed to a clear sky, we often prefer shooting on these moodier and more overcast days. The photography usually is more serene and evenly lit, as you can see below! Needless to say, our stunning couple was enveloped in these endearing newlywed moments together. The salty breeze guided them, hand in hand, into their next chapter together as husband and wife…

Last week, we had the great honor of coordinating Jordan & Michael’s Maui Destination Wedding. They married at the Steeple House Maui, a scenic venue in Kapalua. It was a beautiful Hawaii day, and the couple was absolutely stunning.

Now that the wedding day is behind them and their honeymoon comes to a close, it’s time for new excitement: seeing their Maui wedding photos!

We are so excited to share this sneak peek with them. They were filled with so much joy, and their love radiates in each image!

From Trauma Buddies to Husband & Wife

A Maui Destination Wedding was the perfect fit for this fun-loving couple. Jordan & Michael are both nurses — that’s how they met.

They worked together in the ER for about a year until they finally crossed the threshold into coupledom. They went to breakfast together after a late-night shift, and there with tired eyes and a comfortable friendship, they confessed that there was a connection there.

They’ve moved on to separate jobs but have built a life together. This Colorado couple loves the outdoors and spending time with Shadow and Odin, their two sweet dogs.

They got engaged in a hot air balloon and knew they wanted something grand and memorable for their wedding too. Having visited Hawaii together before, they decided on a Maui Destination Wedding.

And that’s how Jordan & Michael went from the ER to Maui’s sunny shores. We’re so glad we got to help these two essential workers have a fantastic Hawaii wedding!

From the Land to the Sea

After their ceremony at the Steeple House, it was time to take portraits with the glowing newlyweds. The venue served as a scenic backdrop for their romantic pictures, but they also wanted something closer to the water.

We were excited to get some clifftop photos as part of Jordan & Michael’s Maui Destination Wedding. Ironwoods Beach is a gorgeous location with dramatic cliffs. The sunset views there are amazing. Not only was this a chance to get wow-worthy portraits, but they also got to spend some quiet time together during a lively wedding day.

As the sun slipped into the warm Pacific waters, Jordan & Michael slowed down, took in their beautiful surroundings, and embraced their brand new title as husband and wife.

Stylish Simplicity at The Steeple House Maui

When you marry at The Steeple House Maui, decorations are completely optional. Melissa & Justin chose an understated style for their wedding, which highlighted the venue’s natural beauty and the couple’s elegant aura.

The tree on the ceremony lawn features dramatic branches that create a natural altar around Melissa & Justin. With the lush greenery of Kapalua as their backdrop, the two shared heartfelt vows and officially began their life together.

We loved how Kimo brought warmth, humor, and Hawaiian traditions to their ceremony. The small group of guests represented all of Melissa & Justin’s friends and family who were celebrating them back at home.

Finding The Time

Once Melissa & Justin became husband & wife, it was time to capture newlywed portraits at the beach! One of our favorite things about The Steeple House Maui is that it’s just up the road from gorgeous Ironwoods Beach. So the couple got to enjoy a comfortable ceremony at a dedicated venue and then get stunning sunset portraits with their toes in the sand.

Is that the glow of newlywed bliss, or the golden hue of a Hawaii sunset? We think it’s both!

We love how Melissa & Justin’s chic attire looks on Ironwoods’s shores. Something about being dressed up at a gorgeous location really gets us. Plus, these love birds embody the perfect balance between sophistication and playfulness, so they were made for a Hawaii wedding.

We loved walking along the beach with Melissa & Justin, and they got adventurous as they explored the beach’s rocky edge. But soon the sun dipped below the horizon, and it was time to say “Aloha” to the lovely pair. They went on to celebrate their marriage with their guests, and we were left with the warmest memories of a glowing wedding at The Steeple House Maui.

Setting Up for Success

Dellables helped us create a beautiful ceremony setup for Emily & Colin. Emily chose the Wailea Sunset bouquet, and her arch flowers matched the vibrant, tropical color pallet. The green lawn and canopy tree at the Steeple House are a blank slate for any wedding style.

Emily & Colin’s decor selections honored the natural scenery surrounding them while adding a little extra flair to personalize the space.

Then we headed inside, where Emily was patiently awaiting the start of the ceremony. It’s what every Maui Wedding Coordinator loves to see when they arrive at a venue: a gorgeous, relaxed couple, counting down the moments until they say “I Do.”

We were excited to begin the ceremony, which Rev. Joe Miles warmly officiated. He brought all the guests to tears as he led Emily & Colin through their heartfelt vows.

Toward the Sea – Planning Portraits with their Maui Wedding Coordinator

Marrying at a Maui wedding venue allowed Emily & Colin (and their guests) to have a comfortable ceremony. The Steeple House includes an air-conditioned staging area, full seating, and an indoor chapel we can use if the weather turns bad.

As perfect as the venue is, these two lovebirds still dreamed of beachside bliss. So we included beach portraits in their Maui Wedding Coordinator plans.

Karma Hill Photography captured some breathtaking images of Emily & Colin at sunset. Ironwoods Beach is just a couple minutes away from the Steeple House, and the sunset this evening was exceptionally beautiful.

We’re so glad Emily & Colin could have a chic Maui venue wedding and still get stunning beach sunset photos!

Steeple House set a breathtaking backdrop for this event! Not only was the weather impeccable — the scenery was stunning. The afternoon sun was hanging high in the sky, so it shined down on the lush lawn vibrantly. Surrounding Katie and Buddy are magical ocean views, enchanting trees, and rich foliage. Then the arch and airy fabric made the setting more dreamy!

Why We Love Their Maui Venue Wedding

Katie and Buddy’s special day wasn’t just about their connection — it was also a celebration for their family! Our beautiful pair included their four kiddos in every part of their wedding. Their sons were the ring bearers, while their daughters were the flower girls. In addition, Katie and Buddy also got them flower leis! After the ceremony, our radiant newlyweds’ children continued the festivities with pizza and juice for dinner. Then everyone had cupcakes for desserts!

One of the reasons we adore Christopher and Nicole’s special day is because their loved ones were in attendance! Thirty-two of our charming couple’s friends and family joined them in Hawaii as they celebrated their connection. Our gorgeous pair even had a bridal party of eight standing alongside them as they exchanged rings, leis, and vows! It was heartwarming to see the sheer support Christopher and Nicole got on their wedding day. Most importantly, you can tell it meant a lot to our blissful newlyweds to have everyone commemorating their occasion with them!
