When I’m With You – Katie & Jacob’s Maui Venue Wedding

Katie and Jacob were thinking of spending their honeymoon in Maui until they stumbled upon our company, Simple Maui Wedding, and they figured, why not just get married here too? They knew they wanted something simple and intimate with their closest friends and family, and our Maui venue wedding package turned out to be the perfect fit!
Our lovely couple lives in Charlotte, North Carolina, with their fur baby Charlie. They met through mutual friends at a house party and quickly became friends and realized there was something more… “Everything felt so easy and natural,” Katie said about their early days of dating. Flash forward to them moving in together during the pandemic and Jacob proposing at their “happy place” on the back porch overlooking a marsh in Charleston! We feel so privileged to be able to be a part of their love story on their special day…
Their intimate Maui venue wedding took place at the stunning setting of Merriman’s in Kapalua. There was a gentle ocean breeze, and the shine shone down on our happy pair. We love the vibrant floral arch they choose for their ceremony! It was natural, beautiful, and elegant…just the feeling they dreamed of for their big day. Their friends and family were so happy to have made the journey to see these two wed! Neither Katie nor Jacob have been to Maui, so it must have felt totally surreal and like a dream!
Our Future Together
Don’t they make a gorgeous pair? Katie looked stunning in her lace gown and vibrant bouquet. Jacob’s aloha shirt peeking out underneath his sharp suit, caught our eye too! Love it. Since their ceremony was just on the lawn in front of the ocean, it was easy to walk down to the beach (even in a long dress!) for some newlywed portraits. The soft light from the setting sun created some dreamy and glowy photographs…We hope Maui is another “happy place” in their hearts!
