With over a decade of love beneath their wings, Kelli & Jordan glided into a beautiful marriage with a simple and elegant Beach Wedding in Maui. Ironwoods Beach set the scene with rolling waves and rocky backdrops. The island sent her blessing with a steady breeze that caused all sorts of playful mischief and showcased the flow of Kelli’s lace gown (and Jordan’s maile lei!). It was a very special day filled with deep love and genuine friendship.

Beach Wedding in Maui Location

Ironwoods is one of the most rustic beach locations Maui has to offer. Situated on the western shore in Kapalua, it features white sands, deep blue oceans, and dramatic cliffsides. The sky was slightly overcast during Kelli and Jordan’s beach wedding in Maui, but the weather held out and added to the rustic tropical atmosphere. 

Our Couple’s Story

Kelli and Jordan met during their sophomore year in high school. Even though they attended different schools, they somehow managed to find each other. Love is crafty like that! Jordan knew a few of Kelli’s friends through baseball and they hit it off quickly over the phone.

Kelli was so charmed with him, that she asked Jordan to homecoming before they’d even met in person! When you know, ya know! And clearly, Kelli knew! These two will be celebrating eleven years together this October! You can’t miss the love, affection, and friendship beaming from these smiles!

Following the ceremony, Kelli and Jordan tossed petals into the ocean in honor and remembrance of Jordan’s late father. It was a beautiful moment.

What a special day we had with Saleena & Todd! Their Maui venue wedding was absolutely stunning in every way and we’re so excited to relive it here with you through photos!

The Steeple House in Kapalua offers a private setting while still overlooking the beautiful Pacific Ocean. The bridal suite provided a cool setting for Saleena to put the final touches before her walk down the aisle. She looked so gorgeous and we really loved capturing all her beauty and excitement. She walked out of the Steeple House to the ceremony setting where Todd and her friends and family awaited her arrival. Their stunning ceremony was officiated by Saleena’s brother which made the vows even more special. Afterward they all celebrated with group portraits and some cake!!

This photo really portrays the setting for Saleena & Todd’s outdoor wedding experience. It was a beautiful event shared with family and friends with a gorgeous blue ocean in the background while being surrounded by warm temperatures and a beautiful green landscape.

The

Saleena & Todd’s hook up was such a sweet (and direct) story. Saleena’s mom actually hooked the two up! She went right up to Todd in the shop they worked together at and asked if he was single? Mom got his number for Saleena so she texted him later that week. The two have been inseparable ever since! Thanks mom!! Nice work!

Saleena & Todd decided that on their wedding day they wanted a few portraits of the two of them but it was also very important for them to celebrate with their family. They chose to add on another 1 hour session the very next day so that they could get some more memorable shots just the two of them. We really enjoyed having the extra time with them, they were relaxed, happy, and looking amazing for their portraits!!

Robin & Chris’ story began 5 years ago before their gorgeous Maui beach elopement! Chris was driving through Colorado on his way home to Utah when he decided to hop on Tinder and start swiping! Robin happened to be on Tinder as well and they both swiped right! They didn’t actually meet that day but it did connect them to begin chatting! They talked for about 3 months before Chris made the drive back to Colorado to meet Robin. They met for a breakfast date, which turned into an all-day date, and Chris never left! Just kidding! He left that day, but it wasn’t long before he headed back down to Colorado permanently. The long-distance thing just wasn’t for them! They just knew their happily every after was together in Colorado.

We love sweet love stories like Robin & Chris’. It warms our hearts to know that we are a part of that journey now. A Maui beach elopement was the perfect setting for these two. They were able to focus on each other, the love they share, the life they are building; and who wouldn’t want to do that with their toes in the sand? Sounds pretty perfect to us!

Ironwoods Beach was quiet and serene this particular evening. There was a light layer of clouds that ended up drizzling on us during the ceremony. Afterward the ceremony the rain lightened and we saw a little rainbow making its presence. We did catch a little more rain while we were shooting on the cliffs but you know what they say about rain on your wedding day… it’s definitely good luck!!

Katie & Marcus are such a determined pair!! Nothing was going to get in the way of their love!! Planning their glamorous Maui beach wedding with us was their SEVENTH attempt at getting married in 2020! 6 other attempts at planning their wedding before lucky number 7!! Nothing was going to stop this amazing couple from their “I do” moment.

Just to highlight a few, their dream wedding was originally planned to happen in England but after the shutdown in England they decided to plan everything and move forward with having a wedding at home in California. They had the date set and deposits down for all their vendors… and then… California shut down again and had to cancel all of their wedding plans! Then we came in the picture to help them plan the most beautiful and easy-going Maui wedding they could’ve imagined. They were over the moon to have their wedding happen just before the year’s end and we feel the same way!

Katie was absolutely gorgeous and glowing on her wedding day with the most beautiful earrings and hairpiece accents to tie in all the details of her beautiful wedding gown. Spontaneously they decided to add some extra time at their hotel because when they arrived they saw how beautiful the grounds were at the Westin.

We had so much fun exploring the grounds and taking photos with the flamingos in the background.

At the very end, the Karma Hill Photography Team got really creative and captured a breathtaking portrait of them behind the waterfall at the Westin with some flash photography! These shots are epic!! We had so many varieties of backdrops and beautiful lighting we know that Katie and Marcus will absolutely love their photos we got during their special day.

Katie and Marcus had the most spectacular moon to close out their glamorous Maui beach wedding! We were able to capture it directly behind them on the cliffs at Ironwoods. Now that doesn’t happen every day!

Madison and Austin have known each other from a very young age. They always had an undeniable connection and friendship and as they grew older they just grew closer and closer. This is a true definition of soul mates and these two were lucky enough to find each other early on in life. Many people spend a lifetime trying to find a love like this. We feel so blessed to have met them on this big step in their lives when they shared their commitment to each other during their Maui venue wedding. After meeting them and spending time with them we truly believe that love knows no age!!

We began documenting their special day at the bridal suite at Steeple House. It offered a private setting for Madison to slip into her dress and reflect on the moment she’d been waiting for. We snagged a couple shots of Austin prior to the wedding and we just love his classic black and white tuxedo and look.

Shortly after they stepped outside to the beautiful setup just out front of Steeple House. This spot highlights a secluded yet picturesque setting for our bride and groom. Their ceremony was officiated by Reverend Joe and then they were off to celebrate with family portraits and then couples portraits! Madison & Austin shared their own personal vows with each other. They were so heartfelt and you could see and feel Madison tearing up with happiness. You could see just how much love and admiration Madison has for her husband and family. Austin’s mom was tearing up in the ceremony as well and you could just see how filled she was with joy that her son was marrying his best friend and partner for life.

Madison & Austin were the sweetest couple! She radiated with the love she received from Austin. You could tell he doted on her with everything he had and loved her deeply. And the same went for Madison and the love she felt for Austin.

We explored the top of the cliffs and Madison was the most easy going bride letting the train of her dress get dirty and embracing the adventurous landscape Ironwoods has to offer. We know they will love their timeless wedding photos that will speak wonders of their love for generations to come!

From the top of the mountain all the way down to the ocean, this sweet couple share their love for each other. Taylor & Mason were engaged at the top of Haleakala for sunrise and they decided to come full circle all the way to the ocean for their Maui beach wedding. We couldn’t agree more, this is the perfect setting for such a lovely couple to say “I Do”!

Ironwoods Beach sits on the west shore of Maui in Kapalua. The long white sand beach is adorned with rocks and cliffs on both sides. It’s one of our absolute favorite spots because of the unmatched beauty it has to offer. Taylor & Mason were blessed with gorgeous weather this particular day, waves crashing behind them, and they shared in a moment of bliss as they said “I do!”

Reverend Kuya’s heartfelt ceremony was beautiful, blessing Taylor & Mason’s union while embracing Hawaiian culture.

Taylor looked simply stunning and chose the perfect Maui beach wedding dress for the occasion. We loved the lacy top and the perfect length of her wedding dress.

Taylor’s beach wedding bouquet was gorgeous with a king Protea as the centerpiece of this artful creation.

Amanda & Eric had different wedding plans before Covid got in the way, but they made the most of it by eloping in beautiful Maui! They wore their traditional wedding outfits to their Maui beach elopement, looking classy and sheik. We just love their timeless style!

This beautiful couple was married on the shores of Ironwoods Beach, just the two of them. They still managed to share their special day with many friends and family near and far through a special video. Amanda & Eric chose a videography upgrade that allowed their ceremony to be uploaded for their family to watch within just a couple of hours. Although times prevent us from being with our loved ones, technology helps us find a way to share in those moments still.

Amanda was apprehensive about letting her train down at the beach, but we’re so glad she did because the affect of the train in the wind was absolutely beautiful. 

These cliffside wedding photos were breathtaking and they captured the most beautiful sunset filled with pastel hues.

For dinner this sweet pair whisked each other off to Merriman’s. We’re sure their day was special from start to finish and were so happy they chose us to be a part of it!

For couples wanting a Maui beach wedding that’s secluded and scenic, Ironwoods Beach might be a perfect choice! Framed by sea cliffs on both sides, the long stretch of beach overlooks sparkling blue water and often gets a warm golden glow as the sun sets. It’s no wonder this beautiful spot is one of our most popular Maui beach wedding locations.

Located in Kapalua, Ironwoods Beach doesn’t have any park facilities and has very few parking spaces. This helps make it one of the most private locations for a Maui beach wedding. However, the lack of parking and restrooms is something to keep in mind if you’re having a group of more than 15 people.

After helping their niece elope here a few years ago, Amber & Stephen were inspired to have their own unforgettable vow renewal on Maui. Married for over 17 years, this couple wanted a celebration that was special and meaningful yet still fun and casual. And we think their Big Day was that and then some!

Amber & Stephen first said “I do” in a courthouse and felt the rustic shore of Ironwoods was the perfect place to say “I do again.” With heavy rains forecasted, our couple was happily surprised to be greeted with a glistening ocean and warm sands on the morning of their celebration.

We love how Amber tossed the classic white dress aside and showed off her spunk with a bold print of cascading blues! And with Stephen decked in a casual polo and shorts to match, this couple is ready for a Maui style celebration!

Residing on the Garden Ilse for part of the year, our couple knows how to stay comfortable on the shoreside. Although the time they spend on Maui is becoming less and less now that they have two sweet grandbabies!

And speaking of sweet, their little girl Mia joined the party, offering some congratulatory kisses of her own.

The whales were putting on their best show for Kelly & David’s Maui beach wedding at Ironwoods! It seemed as if every moment was punctuated with a full-bodied breach or tail splashing against the glistening horizon. Maybe it was the tropical weather that brought them out: not too hot and not too windy, but just perfect. And the only thing on the beach that was more inspirational than the whales were the endless smiles and laughter of this amazing couple!

The surf was stormy but the sun was brilliant and golden during Patricia & Aaron’s Maui wedding on Ironwoods beach. These two lovebirds said “I do” on a very special day–leap year! Our couple has been inseparable since meeting in college, and last month, while in wintery Seattle, Aaron proposed.

Before deciding on the location for their destination wedding, Patricia & Aaron listened to their Faith and considered their parents’ well-being. Warm sun, tropical views, and no passport required… Maui was the perfect spot for their Special Day! So with their loved ones in tow, our couple flew out for their very first trip to Hawaii! What an awesome way to celebrate such a wonderful day!

Reverend Richardo officiated the wedding. And, like always, he brought his natural charm and deep wisdom.

How heavenly are these shots?! Patricia is wearing a custom gown from Etsy, and we love the way it flows in the wind. Draped in lavender, cream, and gray, this couple pulls off beach wedding day style and then some!

Of course, a Maui wedding on Ironwoods Beach wouldn’t be complete without an epic portrait session on the cliffside. How gorgeous is that subtle rainbow effect from the misting waves?

Just as we were calling it a day, the clouds let down the lovely light sprinkling of a Hawaiian wedding day blessing. We love how Patricia’s gown pops against the cotton-candy orange and pink skies.
