Tien and Jacqueline’s Maui venue wedding day at the Andaz Resort in Maui was a delightful celebration filled with joy, love, and the warmth of friends and family. Their journey began at a dental school’s welcome weekend in April 2019, where they quickly hit it off over dinner at the same restaurant. Their bond grew stronger over the summer, and by the time school started, they were inseparable.

Fast forward to May 2023, Tien and Jacqueline graduated, moved to Dallas, and began their careers in dentistry. Jacqueline practices as a general dentist, while Tien is completing his residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD). In their free time, they enjoy being homebodies with their four cats, dining out, playing pickleball, and binge-watching the latest shows and movies! Two peas in a pod! Tropical Elegance Done Right

Their proposal story is as enchanting as their wedding. Tien surprised Jacqueline with a proposal at Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago, using a ring his mother bought for him when he was four years old, reset in a simple golden band. How touching is that?! Just about the sweetest thing we’ve ever heard!

Choosing an intimate Maui wedding, they exchanged vows on the beautiful Laule’a 3 Lawn at Andaz Resort, marked by a stunning greenery arch. And of course the star of this site, the old-growth Kiawe tree! The ceremony was intimate and beautiful, reflecting their desire for a special moment shared with loved ones without the stress of a large, extravagant event..exactly what Simple Maui Wedding does best!

Jacqueline looked exquisite in her minimalist wedding dress, and Tien was handsome in a classic tux. They both were a sight to behold against the tropical greenery! Their happiness was contagious, radiating through every portrait… The newlywed portraits by the beach were especially romantic, capturing their love in the most picturesque setting. From the moment they set foot on their ceremony site, it was clear that this day was going to be one for the books. With hearts full of anticipation and smiles stretching from ear to ear, Jessica and Ryan couldn’t wait to say “I do” surrounded by their nearest and dearest.

As Jessica made her grand entrance, escorted by her father, all eyes were on her. And can we talk about that dress? A stunning lace confection that seemed to shimmer in the sunlight, turning heads as she walked in! And oh, the way Ryan looked at her—pure adoration and love shining bright in his eyes. With close family and friends gathered around them at Wailea Beach Resort, Jessica and Ryan exchanged vows beneath a gorgeous driftwood arch adorned with cream-colored blooms. With a history intertwined with water – from meeting on a fishing dock to getting engaged on a beach in Key West – it was only fitting that they continued their love story by saying “I do” in Hawaii. We recently had the absolute honor of being a part of Ed and Mae’s lighthearted and joy-filled Maui venue wedding, and let us tell you, these two couldn’t be more deserving of a wonderful day! This incredible couple’s love story began at the Westin Maui Resort & Spa, where they both worked side by side for a whole year without ever exchanging a word. It wasn’t until two days before Mae was flying out to the Philippines that Ed mustered up the courage to message her on Instagram. Little did they know that this simple message would change their lives forever.

After reconnecting online, Ed and Mae decided to meet in person, and from that moment on, they became inseparable. Then, COVID hit, and they found themselves spending every single day together. This time spent in each other’s company allowed them to truly get to know one another, forming a deep bond that only grew stronger with each passing day…so without further adieu, keep reading to see more of their incredible day!

Our New Future Together

Living in Lahaina their whole lives, Ed and Mae faced a devastating loss when their homes were destroyed in a fire. But through it all, their love and resilience never faltered. They couldn’t have been more deserving of a special day to celebrate their love and start a new chapter together.

Curious how these two met? Jessica and Dorian were brought together through mutual friends, but their connection ran even deeper. With Jessica having a best friend who shares Dorian’s Lebanese background, they understood the tight-knit nature of the Lebanese community. This connection added an extra layer of meaning to their relationship, making it all the more special. Needless to say, they felt a pull to get to know one another only to discover something more…

It was in 2021 that Dorian chose the breathtaking island of Maui to ask Jessica to be his forever. Surrounded by the beauty of Maui, they experienced an incredible time together, creating memories that would shape their future. It was during this trip that the idea of a Maui destination wedding began to take shape!

Living in Houston, Texas, where mountains and scenic water beaches are scarce, Jessica and Dorian were drawn to the allure of Hawaii. Their love for hiking, exploring new cuisines, cooking, and spending quality time with their families made Maui an ideal choice for their dream wedding. They wanted to share this paradise with their loved ones, inviting them to join in on the joyous celebration!
