Finally Photographed!
Aleksandra & Zach didn’t take any engagement photos, so their Maui beach wedding was their chance to get lots of great portraits together! They booked plenty of photography time, which allowed Karma Hill Photography to capture lots of different shots around Southside Beach.
They were naturals in front of the camera, and the lighting was especially gorgeous for this Maui beach wedding! We loved every minute with Aleksandra & Zachary – we send them lots of love as they enjoy wedded bliss!

One of our favorite parts of Shaylene and Derek’s Maui Beach Wedding was seeing how comfortable they were, plus there were super cute too! It’s easy to see that these two share a bond build on deep friendship. And we are so excited for them to be starting this next chapter in their lives together as husband and wife!
Our bride was especially excited to have wedding portraits taken by our sister company at sunset. And the dreamy lighting at Southside Beach delivered! We loved watching these newlyweds enjoy their evening together and we are so glad we could be part of their Maui Beach Wedding.

Jessica and Devin were so sweet at their Hawaii Beach Wedding. After years together, they were so excited to finally tie the knot on Maui! With how much these two enjoy going on walks at the beach back home in Washington, how could they not say “I do” with their feet in the sand!? Plus they actually getting engaged on the beach in Santa Barbara, where they met. And we love that Southside Beach is now also a special place for them!
Beach Wedding Decor
They loved the rocks at this location and even added a beautiful floral semi flower circle to add to the already romantic setting. Jessica loved that it was a simple yet elegant touch for a Hawaii Beach Wedding! The guests couldn’t believe it was made of real flowers! I mean just check out how amazing it looks, it even matched her bouquet perfectly!
Intimate Ceremony
Jessica and Devin kept their wedding intimate with just family and friends there to celebrate with them! They were all so sweet and tearing as our bride and groom exchanged vows. We also noticed that during the ceremony not one of them had their phones out to record or take photos or anything! This was so refreshing to see, and we love that they were all present and in the moment the whole ceremony! Of course the selfies and sunset behind the scenes photos came afterwards, which are always fun 🙂 .
Beautiful Weather & Lighting
Devin knew it was going to be a warm afternoon, so he said he prayed for cloud cover and to his surprise there was a massive cloud shading the rest of the evening. With the gentle breeze present everyone was comfortable. In fact, the night of their Hawaii Beach Wedding the West Maui Mountains had a brush fire creating hues of red in the sky! It was actually really pretty and added some pastel colors during the afternoon hours. Usually we’d have to wait for the golden hour for that beautiful background lighting! So it was definitely a silver lining from the fire and Jessica was super happy!
Beach Wedding Attire
That’s not the only thing that caught our attention though, we also can’t get over how perfect this couple looked in their wedding attire! When we asked Jessica about her beautiful dress she said it actually wasn’t the initial dress she was going to wear. The first dress she said “yes” to was super simple. But one day she went shopping with her mom and as soon as she tried on this dress, she fell in love with it! She said it made her feel like Anne Hathaway in the Princess Diaries. #BrideGoals

After meeting 7 years ago while both working at a taco spot, this couple was so excited to get married in paradise at a Baldwin Beach Wedding. Ashlee and Nathan are both Washington natives and so they loved the dark dramatic clouds over the West Maui Mountains. And so do we, especially when they make for such amazing sunsets like this!
Besides having a beautiful location to make their ceremony memorable, these two were also able to share their special day with loved ones. One thing’s for sure, this Baldwin Beach Wedding is an occasion they will all hold close to their hearts for many years to come. It was truly an unforgettable evening and we are so glad we could be part of it!

This bride and groom’s Maui Destination Wedding was made truly memorable by the inclusion of our groom’s daughter Victoria! Karli shares a really sweet connection with her and even gifted her a necklace during the getting ready time at the hotel. What a special moment before the ceremony!
Their Story
Karli and Jason were set up on a date in 2010 and dated for a short time, and then reconnected 2 years ago and have been together ever since! She actually reached out to him to have lunch, and we are so glad she did 🙂 . Karli told us that she always hoped they would end up together, and that if you were to ask Jason he would say he always KNEW they would end up together! How cute is that?!
These two really are meant to be! And we are so glad we could be part of their Maui Destination Wedding. So thank you, Karli and Jason, for letting us celebrate with you on such a special occasion! Congratulations and Warm Aloha!

Maria and Andrew had been here several times and were happy their guests could enjoy the island they love so much for this Maui Beach Wedding! They even planned an itinerary for them to experience the road to Hana and a cruise on a catamaran together! Sounds like a blast to us 🙂 . And we just love how thoughtful this couple was in planning and sharing their special day with loved ones.
Signs from Above
Maria and Andrew wished for a little rain on their wedding day, and were so happy to have a few sprinkles drizzle on them during their ceremony! This was the first blessing from above, the second came after saying “I do” when our groom was standing by the ocean for a peaceful moment. He was actually talking to his best friend who passed away asking, “Show me a sign that you’re here, whether it be a turtle or a whale…” Literally minutes after, a rainbow appeared! It was such a beautiful sight and almost made us cry, so we are thrilled our sister company snapped a photo of it. See if you can spot it.
To end the evening, our newlyweds went to the Sea House Restaurant. It’s a place they always go when on the island and Maria loves the Mac Nut Crusted Fish there! So what better way to celebrate than with a favorite meal, plus they wanted to share another one of their favorite places with their guests. One thing’s for sure this is a a trip and wedding none of them will ever forget 🙂 . We know we sure won’t! Thank you, Maria and Andrew, for sharing your Maui Beach Wedding with us. Karri and Ian were so sweet together and we absolutely loved helping them plan their Lahaina Shores Beach Wedding! When they first contacted us they said they had decided to cancel their big wedding and instead get married in Maui with a few close family and friends. They were so excited to experience a relaxing getaway and ceremony here in paradise!
Military Bride and Groom
And these two definitely deserved some R&R, both Karri and Ian have served in the military! Our bride just finished her duty, and our groom served 5 years in the Marines on active duty and 2 years in the reserves. We cannot thank Karri and Ian enough for their service! And we loved seeing them celebrate with their military friends at their Lahaina Shores Beach Wedding.
It was especially touching to see this couple include their darling daughter, Kolby in the festivities. It’s easy to see that these parents adore her more than anything and we love that she could be part of their special day! We’re confident this is an occasion none of them will ever forget.
Both Karri and Ian said they “aren’t really photo people” but the founder of our sister company, Karma had so much fun getting their personality to come out and helping them be natural in front of the camera. I mean just see for yourself! They look absolutely incredible together, and we have no doubt they will have the most amazing life together as husband and wife.

This couple was surrounded by family at their Maui Destination Wedding. It’s not always easy to make the trip, but it’s always worth it! Maria and Daniel even had their niece and two adorable twin nephews helped throw petals for our bride’s entrance. And Maria’s sister walked her down the aisle, which was an extra special experience for them both!

Their ceremony was followed by a beautiful first dance to “One Love” by Bob Marley, which we just absolutely loved with the beach backdrop. We love when couples include this traditional touch at a Maui Destination Wedding. It’s always a very touching and authentic moment between the newlyweds and makes for great heartfelt photos!

While planning their Polo Beach Wedding Samantha and Dennis described their special day as “relaxed, care-free and elegant”. And that’s exactly how it turned out! Just see for yourself!
A Stress-Free Location
One of the best parts of this wedding was the location. Our bride and groom were able to keep everything stress-free on their wedding day by getting ready at the Fairmont, where they could then walk down to Polo Beach for their ceremony. Then after taking gorgeous wedding portraits, they headed back up for an amazing reception at Kō. It doesn’t get more convenient! Plus it truly was an elegant experience for all to enjoy 🙂 . Win-win!
Samantha & Dennis’ Story
Our absolute favorite part of this Polo Beach Wedding though was getting to know this sweet couple and hearing the story of how they got engaged! They’ve been together for 3 years and got engaged a year ago at Disney World. Talk about a fairytale story and Samantha was definitely a princess herself! She was graceful and so sweet to everyone. It’s no wonder Dennis fell for her!

The looks on Leah and Brian’s faces when they first saw each other at their Maui Beach Wedding left us speechless. The love they share is truly inspiring! Their wedding was full of excitement, from beginning to end and we loved witnessing it all.
On another note, Leah’s sons walked her in during her entrance. And one of her sons even blew the conch shell too! Which we thought was the cutest thing, and he was so good at it too. But we really shouldn’t be surprised, considering Hawaiian culture is in his blood!
Why a Maui Beach Wedding?
Our bride is originally from Oahu but now lives in California. When asked why she chose Maui for her wedding, she said her family is originally from Maui! So she wanted to get married here on a beach with her toes in the sand. A lot of her family flew here to Maui from Oahu and brought the flower crown she wore on her wedding day with them. How sweet is that?!
We seriously cannot get over how amazing this wedding was. Throughout the evening, this bride and groom didn’t stop laughing together. Brian was super animated and fun to be around, and Leah was completely comfortable and enjoyed every moment of being on the beach!

The backdrop at Morgan and Kegan’s Kanaha Beach Wedding was amazing! Just see for yourself. Iao Valley is one of our favorite spots on Maui. And it’s every bit as beautiful from afar as it is up close!
Before getting married these two spent the day in Iao! So it was perfect when at their ceremony Iao Valley lit up with beautiful sun rays peeking through the clouds. Which created a remarkable sight in person and in their wedding portraits. That’s not the only thing that caught our attention though, we also couldn’t take our eyes off of our bride and groom who both looked incredible in their wedding attire. Seriously tho!
Beach Wedding Styling
Morgan was absolutely stunning in this high low wedding dress by Calvin Kline. Plus we love that she chose to wear block heels so they wouldn’t sink into the sand, making them ideal for a Kanaha Beach Wedding! And we can’t say enough about how great Kegan looked in a navy Tommy Hilfiger suit, which he paired with a white button up and brown dress shoes. Classy yet casual, well done!

How They Met
From the moment David turned around to see Shannon walking towards him, it was easy to see that she really is the love of his life! And we are so glad these two found each other all those years ago in college. They were actually neighbors in their dorm! They had both just arrived, unpacked, left their rooms and met in the elevator. And they’ve been together ever since!
