Who says old-school romance doesn’t exist? Not Lexi and Connor, who proved that true love can weather any storm. These two self-proclaimed “old souls” are all about communication, friendship, and investing in their future together. So when they decided to tie the knot with a Maui beach wedding, we knew it was going to be something special! Although they never thought of each other as more than friends in high school, Connor took a leap of faith and slid into Lexi’s DMs in 2018. After their first date, Lexi knew that he was the one for her, and they’ve been inseparable ever since. A high school romance always gets us teary-eyed!

Their sunset ceremony was breathtaking, with friends and family gathered around to witness their love and commitment to each other. Lexi and Connor’s words were heartfelt and sincere, and you could feel the love and connection between them…Connor made sure not to get a peek at his bride beforehand!

As Maui wedding planners, they were excited to finally bring their vision to life, and it was clear that every detail of their day was thoughtfully considered! Despite the challenges of the pandemic, Lexi and Connor grew even closer through quality time spent together at home. And now, they are looking forward to a bright future together with their dog Apple, filled with love, laughter, and endless possibilities!

High School Sweethearts

Who said you can’t find love in unexpected places? For Lexi and Connor, high school friends turned to soulmates, their love story is proof that sometimes you have to take a chance and see where it leads you.

Aleeshia and Cameron’s Maui elopement was a true celebration of love and intimacy, and we couldn’t be happier for this wonderful couple! As they began planning their wedding back home in Maine, they quickly realized that it wasn’t going to be as intimate as they had hoped. With the stress of planning and decision-making, they decided that an elopement in Hawaii would be the perfect solution! Our company, Simple Maui Wedding, was ready to bring their vision to life!

Our lovely pair got engaged in Hawaii in January 2022, so Hawaii is a very special place for them. And while on that trip, they decided if they ever returned, it would be Maui! So when they were wedding planning, it was the natural choice for their elopement! We were honored to be a part of their special day and capture some beautiful moments for them!

Simple Elegance

The day of their Maui elopement was filled with joy and happiness. Aleeshia and Cameron look relaxed and carefree, taking in every moment of their special day. The ceremony took place on Po’olenalena Beach, with waves crashing in the background, creating a serene and romantic atmosphere…

The simplicity of the setting made their ceremony made it feel even more romantic. Despite the uncertainty of where to get married, our talented team of wedding coordinators took away the stress of their day. It truly felt like a celebration of their love and commitment to each other without the traditional fuss of a large celebration. These photos of our lovely pair exchanging heartfelt vows during their Maui elopement are filled with love and emotion. We can see the love and happiness in their eyes!

After their lovely ceremony, we had the opportunity to capture some beautiful photos of the new Mr. & Mrs. Greenwood on the beach! The simplicity and natural beauty of the scenery allowed us to focus on the couple and their love for each other, creating some beautiful and intimate moments that they will cherish forever… Aleeshia looks timeless in her flowy gown with a trailing veil. Stunning! Cameron looks equally classic and sharp in his perfectly tailored navy suit. Even though it was just the two of them at their Maui elopement, they looked their very best!

We love a gorgeous Gannon’s Wedding! So when April & Connor reached out to book our Maui Wedding Venue package there, we were so excited!

These two know how to create a meaningful and joyful celebration. They brought along their immediate family, their all-star style, and their romantic energy. And it all came together in the most beautiful way!

Dreamy Greens and Sweet Pastels

One of our favorite things about any Gannon’s Wedding is the stunning backdrop. You get the rich greens of the Wailea hillside and the glistening ocean in the distance. April & Connor decided to accent this natural beauty by adding a circle arch with lush tropical greenery. It created the perfect frame for their swift and heartfelt ceremony.

April also chose our Pastel Rustic Hawaiian bouquet. This one-of-a-kind creation features in-season florals that are grown here on Maui.

Then, as the sun began setting, it was like the sky drew colors straight from her bouquet. The horizon lit up with dreamy pastels straight out of a storybook. It was the perfect ending for a perfect wedding, though the newlyweds still had lots of celebrating to do!

After their Gannon’s Wedding ceremony and beach portraits, they met their family at the Grand Wailea for a delicious dinner. And then it was time to honeymoon! These two had such a fun vacation ahead of them!

Though we only spent a few hours with April & Connor, we felt honored to meet them. They’re an incredible couple who aim to share joy any chance they get. This radiated throughout their Maui Destination Wedding, and it shines in each of their photos.

A Complete Gallery for a Gannon’s Wedding

Gannon’s Restaurant is on a hillside that overlooks the ocean and Wailea shoreline. You could have a complete couple’s photoshoot on the grounds of the venue, since there are so many great backdrops to enjoy.

But if you have enough photo time booked, you can also visit the nearby beach for even more portraits. April & Connor were sure to plan on great beach portraits after their Gannon’s Wedding. This gives them a full photo gallery with a strong sense of place. You can really see that they’re on Maui.

From the hillside to the sea, these two made the most of their Maui wedding day, and we’re so glad we could be a part of it!

A beach wedding in Maui is always a great idea! You get to have a simple yet meaningful ceremony, and the island’s natural surroundings provide the best backdrop.

Ryan & Silvia understood the draw, and that’s why they chose to marry in Maui. So on a bright May morning, we met these two on the shores of Poʻolenalena Beach for a memorable celebration. It was so much fun, and we’re honored we could be their Maui wedding coordinator.

An Early Start

We typically offer our Maui wedding packages in the morning or at sunset. Both are beautiful in their own way and offer a unique experience.

Ryan & Silvia chose a morning beach wedding in Maui, which suited this bright, adventurous couple. The beaches tend to be less busy in the morning, and it leaves the rest of the day to relax and celebrate.

But it does make for an early wake-up call. Ryan and the guests began arriving at the beach before 8 AM, and Silvia made her grand entrance a few minutes later. That means she was up before the sun, preparing her picture-perfect bridal look and anxiously awaiting the moment when she said “I Do.”

These two look great no matter what, but we especially loved seeing their amazing wedding style, which looked great at this beach wedding in Maui.

Another unique thing about morning weddings is how the photos look. The Karma Hill Team can really capture the blues in the ocean and the sky, and the greens of the trees stand out. It’s a bright, tropical look for couples who love the vibrancy of Hawaii.

Tradition & Originality at a Beach Wedding in Maui

When you get married in Hawaii, you get a lot of flexibility. After all, there are likely fewer guests to impress and less pressure to do things the same way as everybody else. You’re getting married in a unique spot, so you can choose elements that are true to you, even if it’s different from other weddings.

But you can also be as traditional as you want. Ryan & Silvia still included a grand entrance onto the beach, and they had a cake cutting after their ceremony. They wore formal wedding attire with a tropical touch, and took portraits that really showcased their style.

We’re impressed by how they balance tradition with originality, creating a beach wedding in Maui that was true to who they are.

Every couple who gets married in Maui has a unique story — a special journey that led them to each other. For Colleen & Donald, their love story begins 40 years ago, when they were teens. This was before they had kids and careers. They were just kids themselves, and they met at work.

They had no idea back then what the future held, that one day they would marry each other in one of Earth’s most beautiful places.

From the 80s to the 21st Century

When Colleen & Donald met, they had no idea what a dating app was. But it ended up being responsible for their eventual reunion and romance.

That’s right, these two matched online — a perfect match if we do say so!

But they also have a lot to show for that time apart. Between them, they have five incredible kids who are blossoming into the most impressive young adults. And they were all there to cheer them on when they got married in Maui!

They also had great careers, and AJ is thoroughly enjoying his retirement. Here’s hoping that Colleen can join him with more free time soon!

They stay busy, so getting away and getting married in Maui was an easy choice. With their kids by their side and the glistening ocean around them, these two vowed to love and cherish each other forever.

We loved being a part of this Maui beach wedding and are so happy for these two love birds!

Time to Get Married in Maui

Though Colleen & Donald stay busy with work, kids, and hobbies, they always make time for each other. Still, this time in Hawaii with each other and their families was such a treat. Free from distractions and appointments, they were free to simply enjoy.

We could tell they were having the best time during their vacation, and once it was time to get married in Maui, they were relaxed and joyful.

This is the kind of energy we love to see, and it makes our job a breeze! They’re totally photogenic and incredibly kind.

The sun shone brightly for our lovely couple, Noveen and Luke’s Maui elopement! They both had always wanted to visit Hawaii and Noveen, in particular, loved the idea of getting married on the beach. So finally, the wait was over – their big day had arrived, and we couldn’t be happier for these two!

They met in 2020 through a mutual friend, as they both work in the entertainment industry. Noveen is a voice-over artist and Luke is a producer and music director for Universal Music. As you can imagine, they have a lot in common! Sparks flew (or, rather, their love song began!), and the rest is history! Keep reading to see how their lovely morning unfolded…

Just For Us

Our happy couple chose a gorgeous location on Maui’s South Shore, Po’olenalena Beach, for their Maui elopement! “We thought this would be perfect to get eloped in Maui on the beach and spend a few days thereafter as our honeymoon,” our lovely bride told us before their special day. It was a pleasure to make their dream come true!

This was their day…and they enjoyed every second of their Maui elopement! The bright sunshine added to the joy and beauty of the moment. Finally, the shoes came off, and it was time to celebrate in the sunshine! The newlyweds couldn’t stop smiling, soaking in the magic and romance of the moment…

Our lovely couple, Skylar and Edward, have a unique love story…one that has truly just begun at their Maui beach wedding! Skylar is a daycare teacher and met Edward when he was dropping off one of his daughters…he asked her out for a cup of coffee, and the rest is history! Their beautiful day was full of love, joy, and laughter, as seen in the stunning photos below. It began with a sweet moment for Skylar to share a “First Look” with her father…he was in tears the moment she turned around. Meanwhile, Edward was anxiously waiting for his wife-to-be, excited and nervous all at the same time! These priceless moments will forever be held close to their hearts…

The bright Maui sunshine shone down on our happy couple at Po’olenalena Beach; it was a beautiful day for all to enjoy! Gathered in a stunning spring-colored flower circle that complemented her custom bouquet, Skylar and Edward exchanged their sacred vows for all to see…it truly was a sight to behold!

Meant To Be

Their friends and family looked on with love as Edward and Skylar kissed for the first time as husband and wife! Their three young children were right by their side, taking it all in… Certainly a precious family moment to remember! Everyone was overjoyed and ready to celebrate the happy newlyweds…

These sunset photos are perhaps the most romantic of all of their Maui beach wedding photography! The golden setting sun cast a glowy, dreamy light over the happy pair as it embraced them into their new committed life to each other. We love how Edward opted for a lilac shirt to match his beautiful bride’s bouquet! This moment was dreamy, romantic, and above just for the two of them!

There was always something more between these two…so in middle school, Dustin was Hanna’s older brother’s friend, and she had the biggest crush on him for what felt like an eternity! Little did Dustin know! They became very close friends in their early 20s but never dated. They reconnected almost ten years later and knew they had to get married! How sweet is that?!

We were so touched as they exchanged their thoughtful and meaningful vows. You can feel the deep friendship and love for each other in these photos! Their middle school selves would never have guessed they would have eloped together years later in Maui! We were so happy to capture these moments they will treasure forever!

Hanna looked radiant in her creamy minimalist gown, perfect for a Maui elopement on the beach! She was the picture of effortless elegance, don’t you think? And Dustin looked very handsome in his linen suit, which perfectly complemented the beachy ambiance!

Our beautiful newlyweds initially did not want to have any formal ceremony. They thought to spend just their honeymoon in Maui, but they ultimately decided it would be nice to have some photos and memories of a Maui elopement! And they have never been either! We are so happy they chose otherwise!

We rarely hear such a long love story like our beautiful pair, so this felt deeply special! Without a doubt, their deep friendship will carry them with strength and support in their next chapter together as husband and wife! We couldn’t be more pleased for you two!
