When we asked Michael and Laura what they wanted their Maui Elopement to be, they told us “intimate and chill”. We think their Maui wedding ceremony was exactly that and more. It was also beautiful, moving and personal.
About The Couple
Micheal proposed to Laura at the top of her favorite hiking trail “sweaty and dirty” which she joked is their natural state. We’d say they clean up pretty well! We love their bridal style, with Laura’s lace dress gently blowing in the breeze and Michael’s blue suit complimenting the ocean, they looked perfect for their beach wedding.
They had talked about a courthouse wedding to take care of the legal side of the marriage, but then remembered they had a trip already booked to Maui. They decided to turn the vacation into a wedding and honeymoon! What a great idea! A beautiful intimate way to start your journey together as husband and wife.
They decided to make the drive together from the opposite side of the island rather than wait to see each other at the ceremony. This worked great for them and took a little of the pressure off, which kept the “chill” part of what they wanted. The ceremony started with a conch shell blowing and tears being held back. When they said their custom vows to each other, the tears could not be held back any longer. We loved how sweet they were to each other and the fact they took the time to write down their feelings and share them in such an intimate way.

This beautiful family visited Maui two years ago and fell in love with it. So when it came time to plan their wedding, there wasn’t a question: they wanted to have their wedding in Maui.
It was just this sweet family of three for this Maui Beach wedding. You could say it was kind of a family elopement! It turned out to be an amazing choice, as the beach, sunset, and weather were absolute perfection!
We love when a couple decides to include their kids in the wedding ceremony. Andrea and Jon made sure their daughter Hannah was standing with them and incorporated into the lei exchange. It made for such a special family photo moment.
This family has a special bond and it was so special to get to witness it in person. We also love that they made time after there ceremony for some gorgeous family portraits as well as couples photos.
After the wedding, the family was looking forward to a relaxing vacation. They couldn’t wait to take in all Maui has to offer. What a great way to get married. Being with the people you love in one of the most beautiful spots on the planet.

Melissa and Sandy live in Austin but also own a place here in Kihei so they come here a lot, and were excited to have a Maui Beach Elopement. Their excitement was magnified by the excitement of starting this next chapter of their lives not only as husband and wife, but also as mom and dad! Our bride is pregnant and they’re naming the baby Makena. So sweet!
After getting ready with the help of Maui Makeup Artistry, Melissa was ready to meet up with her groom at Maluaka Beach. Sandy was waiting for her as she pulled up, eager to see her in her bridal glory! We love that they were able to share this moment prior to their ceremony and then walk over to the sandy beach together.
Finding Love Unexpectedly
When Melissa and Sandy first met, neither of them were looking for love but when they saw each other everything just clicked! It’s easy to see they share a natural connection. And we just love the way they look at each other with pure joy. We have no doubt these two will experience a lifetime of happiness with each other and their growing family!

Deanna and Sean decided to have a Maui Beach Elopement because they love being around the water and wanted a sunset backdrop. And even though we got a late start due to a sudden downpour, the colors in the sky did not disappoint! Just see for yourself!
Their Story
One of our favorite parts of helping plan this couple’s Maui Beach Elopement was hearing the story of how they met and got together. This bride and groom actually went to high school together over 20 years ago! They had a class together and were lab partners but never dated. But thanks to Facebook they reconnected and started taking trips between Arizona & Michigan to be together! And then Sean proposed when they were packing up Deanna’s stuff in Michigan to go live with him in Arizona!

After meeting at a pub 2 years ago and getting engaged 1 year ago in Cancun, this couple was so excited to say “I do” at a Maui Elopement! With no guests, Danielle and David’s ceremony at Maluaka Beach was an opportunity for these two to focus on only each other and their love. What could be better than that?!

Amanda and Taylor’s Maluaka Beach Wedding was filled with so much love and emotion! Especially since our bride’s mother had passed on. You could tell Taylor felt so much with Amanda as they talked about her mother during the ceremony! And they even had a lei on top on an empty chair at the ceremony as beautiful touch to honor her.
Amanda’s father then released the lei into the ocean with his son as part of the ceremony. And you could just tell how much they all wished she could see her beautiful daughter at her wedding. Just thinking about their special day and all the tears that were shared leaves us teary-eyed and grateful we could be part of such a meaningful occasion!
Our couple was blessed to have their closest loved ones join them during their wedding to wish them the absolute best in their new and exciting life as husband and wife. And our sister company took some amazing portraits of these newlyweds with fun little props they brought as well! Maluaka Beach was the perfect location for their wedding with the West Maui backdrop and pristine white sand.

When Hawaii is your favorite travel destination and you don’t want to deal with the stress of a big wedding, a Maui Elopement is perfect! Maria and David actually got engaged on Kauai last year, and we love that they decided to continue their love story here in the islands. And we couldn’t have asked for a more magical evening for their ceremony! Just see for yourself!
This bride and groom were so sweet together and we loved getting to be part of their Maui Elopement. Maria and David have been together for over 10 years! Talk about an inspiring couple. We still can’t get over how touching their vows were! They wrote such beautiful, deep, and strong words to each other that we have no doubt they will have the most amazing life together as husband and wife!

With just their parents present at their Maui Elopement, Kary and Ben had a truly intimate ceremony at Maluaka Beach. We especially love that they hired Stephan Boker to live streamed their wedding so their family and friends from all over the world could participate from afar! It was so fun to see them wave hello to everyone after the ceremony and thank them for their support.
Cake Cutting Ceremony
The bride and groom also decided to include a traditional cake cutting ceremony at their Maui Elopement, and Kary even mentioned how good it was! Tasty and beautiful, win win 🙂 . Afterwards they braved the morning sunshine with no wind and took some amazing couple portraits with our sister company.
Kary handled the weather gracefully and was excited to get into the AC back at the resort. No matter the summer heat when a couple looks at their wedding photos and remember their special day, it won’t be the heat they remember but the love they exchanged and absolutely beautiful backdrop they were able to have for their special day!

Diana and Ernesto kept their Maui Beach Elopement carefree and simple! So relaxed that they even kept it a surprise from their guests. Their friends who were with them found out they were getting married ONE HOUR before the wedding (otherwise they said they would have been more dressed up, haha). But they were all still so excited to celebrate with our happy couple! And so were we 🙂 .
Diana and Ernesto were SO into each other and were constantly laughing during their Maui Beach Elopement, which we loved. It was easy to see that they have a deep bond forged on friendship, giving us the confidence that these two will have the most amazing life together! And to make things even more exciting, they’re actually expecting their first child together. Woohoo!

Coming all the way from England Niki and Gavin were set on having their Maui Beach Wedding be one to remember. And their location didn’t disappoint! They fell in love with Maluaka Beach and that beautiful backdrop. I mean just check out that view!

With only their two children as guests at their Maui Beach Elopement, Sarah and Nathan had a truly intimate evening for their wedding ceremony. Since they kept their plans to get married a secret from their families they had an intimate evening with just the four of them at Maluaka Beach. Joined by the funnest wedding vendors, this was a truly memorable occasion for them all!
We especially love how this couple was able to include 4 year old Roger and 3 year old Sissy in the festivities! Aren’t they darling? We cannot get over how sweet they were dancing alongside their parents. Plus these photos of them eating wedding cake are too cute for words! This couple chose the perfect location for their Maui Destination Wedding! They decided to have their ceremony on the grassy area just above Maluaka Beach. This way our bride’s father could access it with his wheelchair and they’d still have stunning views with the ocean nearby.
It was important to Corissa that both her dad and Bradley didn’t see the bride until she was walking down the aisle! So even though they all arrived together, the guys were in the front seat keeping their eyes on the road so they wouldn’t see Corissa in her wedding dress. Prior to the ceremony beginning our bride and her father shared a first look moment, which was just the sweetest thing! And then it was finally time for our groom to turn around and see the love of his life walking towards him so they could say, “I do” in paradise.
One thing’s for sure, this was a Maui Destination Wedding to remember and we are so glad we got to be part of it! Thank you, Corissa and Bradley, for sharing your special day with Simple Maui Wedding. Congratulations and Warm Aloha!
