Shakeh and Mases were so excited to get married here in paradise! They’ve been to Hawaii before and already had a vacation here planned when they got engaged and decided to have a Maui Beach Elopement! And we are so glad they did!
They ended up staying just minutes away from Ironwoods Beach and didn’t even know it! They were so close that our bride walked in her wedding dress all the way up to her first look with Mases. Which took place just moments before their ceremony!
How They Met
This couple actually met at a wedding! Shakeh was a bridesmaid and Mases was a groomsman and they were paired together. They’ve been together ever since and we are so excited for them to start this next chapter of their lives as husband and wife!

Jennifer and Thomas met over 20 years ago and were so excited to celebrate their love with a Maui Elopement at Ironwoods Beach. Neither our bride or groom had ever been here before, and they couldn’t have chosen a more amazing spot for their ceremony. Not only is it the perfect place to say “I do” but with it’s epic cliffs overlooking the ocean, it’s also the perfect place for wedding photos! See for yourself!
After taking portraits with our sister company, this happy couple was ready to head to Merrimans for a celebratory dinner. With its convenient location and incredible menu, this was a great choice! And it’s easy to see these two have great taste 🙂 . I mean just look at them! Plus they chose us to plan their Maui Elopement and we cannot thank them enough! With loved ones surrounding them, this bride and groom were so excited to be getting married at their Maui Outdoor Wedding. And seriously though what could be better than having a ceremony right by the ocean?! With the sand beneath their feet and waves crashing nearby, Shannon and David were more than ready to say “I do” in paradise.
How They Met
From the moment David turned around to see Shannon walking towards him, it was easy to see that she really is the love of his life! And we are so glad these two found each other all those years ago in college. They were actually neighbors in their dorm! They had both just arrived, unpacked, left their rooms and met in the elevator. And they’ve been together ever since!

We loved helping plan this Ironwoods Beach Maui Wedding! This is one of our favorite spots on the island and it’s easy to see why. With a beautiful sandy beach surrounded by greenery and the most epic cliffs you will ever see, it not only makes for an incredible experience in real life but it’s also the most amazing setting for wedding portraits! And to make this location even better, there are lots of options for lodging nearby making it super convenient. Our couple stayed at the Kaanapali Villas, which are under 15 minutes away from where they had their ceremony. Not bad!
Our Bride and Groom
Nina and Bryon had been dreaming of visiting Hawaii for the longest time, and what started out as a joke to have their wedding here quickly became an amazing reality! This evening was filled with so much love and good times with their family and friends. We had so much fun with everyone and could tell how special it was for this bride and groom to share their special day with their guests!
After taking the most beautiful sunset portraits with our sister company, our newlyweds were ready to celebrate with a fun reception at The Plantation House. Which is located right above where our couple said, “I do”, and always has the most delicious food! Making it the perfect choice for a celebratory dinner after an Ironwoods Beach Maui Wedding.

We can’t get over how cute this couple was at their Maui Beach Elopement! Dara was so excited before the ceremony and even cried throughout. Which was so sweet! The moment James turned around and saw his bride walking towards him, his jaw literally dropped with excitement over how beautiful she looked. And then the biggest smile took place on his face and didn’t leave all evening long!
It’s obvious these two have a deep bond built on pure friendship and unconditional love. After being together for 10 years, a Maui Beach Elopement was the perfect way to celebrate their relationship and commitment to each other! They love it here so much they’re even planning on moving to the island in a couple of years, and we can’t wait to be their neighbors 🙂 .
They even already know their Hawaiian names! Dara’s is “Leilani” and James’ is “Kimo.” Plus for a fun coincidence, their minister’s name was Kimo! AND they went to dinner at their favorite restaurant, Kimo’s after their wedding! So fun. We really did have the best time being part of this beautiful evening and can’t thank, Dara and James, enough for including us on their special day! Congratulations to you both, and Warm Aloha!

Brenda and Frank kept their Maui Beach Wedding intimate with just a handful of guests, the bride’s sisters, mom, and best friend. They’re both from LA and this was their first time here, so it was extra special! And we’re confident this place will always be special to them.
One of our favorite things about being part of this Maui Beach Wedding was getting to know the story of how these two got together. Brenda and Frank actually met in Brazil in 2014 while there for the world cup! They were on the same shuttle and started talking because one of his friends was wearing an LA hat, so they realized they were both from there. She needed a ticket for the game and he had an extra one, and the rest is history! They are expecting a baby boy this fall and are so excited to start this next chapter of their lives as husband and wife and soon after mom and dad 🙂 . Being part of this Maui Beach Elopement was so much fun! Especially since it gave us the opportunity to get to know the story of how Suzanne and Martin met. While these two were brought together by high school, it wasn’t while they were students. Marty was Suzanne’s daughter’s music teacher and they started dating her senior year. They have now been together for 6 years and their wedding was totally under wraps!
This bride and groom decided to have a Maui Beach Elopement since they were already planning on coming for Suzanne’s 50th birthday! When it comes to planning and organizing, that’s Suzanne’s specialty, so she knows it’s all about the fine details to make their wedding a special moment to remember. (That’s where we come in!) We loved that we took the planning role off of Suzanne’s hands for a while (to celebrate some cake and bubbly most likely) and prepare a beautiful elopement for just the two of them. All the while, their family was surprised with the wonderful news when they returned home. How perfect is that?! We loved helping plan this Maui Beach Wedding! Even though they met in high school, Brittany and William didn’t start dating then. They reconnected later and have now been together for years! They truly are an incredible couple, and the bond between them was so strong it was almost tangible.
We especially love how this bride and groom made their entrance for their Maui Beach Wedding together! What a beautiful way to enter into a marriage. Once the ceremony ended, Wai (our onsite coordinator) made a bouquet for Brittany’s niece out of the flower circle! It was the cutest and we just love this photo our sister company caught of of it 🙂 . After taking wedding portraits our newlyweds were excited to go celebrate with dinner at The Plantation House Restaurant. What a perfect way to end such a special day! We love a spontaneous elopement, so when Nadia & Glenn called us with less than a week to plan their Maui Beach Wedding, we were so excited!! Not only did they book an amazing ceremony with us, but also a Maui Trash the Dress session too!
With so many beautiful locations, it’s hard to choose a single spot for a ceremony. That’s why Nadia & Glenn chose three locations! On Thursday they said “I Do” with their toes in the sand at Baldwin Beach in Paia. Then on Sunday they met back up with Karma Hill photography for portraits in Honolua Jungle and Ironwoods Beach in Kapalua. That’s one of our favorite spots for a Maui Trash the Dress!
While they booked their Maui Beach Wedding on whim, their love story is 11 years in the making! They met when they were neighbors in Boston and now they live in California. They’re busy with careers and school, so this vacation was a much-deserved getaway! We loved getting to work with Nadia and Glenn and we wish them all the best as they return home as husband and wife! Congratulations and Warm Aloha!

We plan so many special ceremonies, but Cristina and David’s Maui Destination Wedding was extra special because it’s their second time marrying each other! These two were marred for 20 years before life happened and they went their separate ways. Thankfully life brought them back together, and we can tell that their love is stronger than ever! Their ceremony was the perfect way to celebrate their family uniting again!
It was a beautiful morning at Ironwoods Beach, and their family dressed in tropical pastels that looked perfect with the bright blue water and white sandy beach. Their children walked Cristina to her handsome groom and Kahu Ernest led them in heart-felt vows and a blessing. After the I-Do’s it was time for family pictures, which was so much fun with their wild family. This was their first morning on Maui so they were excited to start their vacation! We are so thankful we got to plan this Maui Destination Wedding and are so excited for the next chapter of Cristina and David’s life together! Congratulations and Warm Aloha!

Ironwoods Beach is one of our favorite locations for a Maui Destination Wedding, so we’re thrilled this couple chose this setting for their ceremony. After our bride’s best friend got married at this same spot a couple of years ago, Andrea knew she wanted to have her wedding here as well! And it’s easy to see why 🙂 .
The only guests at Andrea and Christopher’s Maui Destination Wedding were their parents, who were thrilled to be part of their special day. After meeting through a mutual friend 6 years ago, this couple was so excited to get married at a Maui Beach Wedding! And we were thrilled to be part of it. Alejandra and Arnold decided on a destination wedding because it was less stressful than planning one at home. So we were the perfect coordinators for them since keeping things simple and stress free are our specialties!
They also both love to travel, and since neither of them had ever been to Hawaii having a Maui Beach Wedding was extra fun! Plus after getting engaged in Costa Rica how could they not say, “I do” in a another tropical setting?
