Erika and Joshua’s Maui venue wedding was pure tropical elegance! They’ve always dreamed of having a tropical wedding and were allll about a nice vacation to boot! After considering various US locations to tie the knot, they finally chose Maui because of its beauty and easy-going lifestyle…

Their wedding day was filled with love and joy, surrounded by close friends and family who were ecstatic to witness these two tying the knot. And it felt like a vacation for everyone who attended! Their big day began with a “First Look” with Erika’s dad and then her husband-to-be, Joshua. The look on both of their faces is priceless! It was a touching and sweet moment that warmed our hearts!

Their Maui venue wedding at Gannon’s in Kihei had the most magnificent view! The stunning geometric golden arch served as the altar, adorned with all-white flowers, which was a romantic backdrop for the couple’s vows. Erika and Joshua love the outdoors and nature, so naturally, they felt right a home with the lush greenery and foliage… albeit a tropical version compared to the deep forests of Oregon!

We couldn’t help but smile right alongside everyone in attendance! After exchanging their loving vows and several hugs and cheers from guests, our newlyweds snuck away to Southside Beach for some stunning sunset portraits…

The sunset looks like a painting in the sky in these photographs! The light from the setting perfectly reflects the warmth and intimacy of their love. The happy newlyweds are so wrapped up in the moment, lost in love with each other. There is something truly magical about sunset on the beach – the colors, the light, and the warmth create a romantic and dreamy atmosphere perfect for wedding photos…Erika and Joshua will surely treasure these forever!

Monica and Justin’s Maui venue wedding was everything we love most at Simple Maui Wedding – simple, elegant, and beautiful! Surrounded by close friends and family, it was everything they had hoped for and more…It was incredible to see how happy everyone was to be in Hawaii to celebrate their special day! Our lovely couple exchanged vows at our Rustic Hawaiian Ruins, Trinity by the Sea – a venue we love for its open-air arrangement and plenty of room for guests to spread out. In addition, the tropical palms and foliage brought a jungle-like ambiance to the event, creating a magical atmosphere! Who needs so much additional decor when you have lush foliage and natural splendor like this?! It truly makes you feel like you’re in paradise…and the beach is just around the corner too!

After their tropical Maui venue wedding ceremony, we strolled out to the beach for a few intimate portraits, and the couple looked like they stepped into a romantic dream! As Maui always does, it showed off again for the newlyweds with shades of pink, orange, and violet hues, providing the perfect romantic backdrop for their big day!

We especially love the sand-colored suit Justin wore to complement Monica’s beautiful lace gown. The intricate embroidery paired with her long train and veil is breathtaking! She was a sight to behold, backlit by the golden setting sun…

Katie and Jacob were thinking of spending their honeymoon in Maui until they stumbled upon our company, Simple Maui Wedding, and they figured, why not just get married here too? They knew they wanted something simple and intimate with their closest friends and family, and our Maui venue wedding package turned out to be the perfect fit!

Our lovely couple lives in Charlotte, North Carolina, with their fur baby Charlie. They met through mutual friends at a house party and quickly became friends and realized there was something more… “Everything felt so easy and natural,” Katie said about their early days of dating. Flash forward to them moving in together during the pandemic and Jacob proposing at their “happy place” on the back porch overlooking a marsh in Charleston! We feel so privileged to be able to be a part of their love story on their special day…

Their intimate Maui venue wedding took place at the stunning setting of Merriman’s in Kapalua. There was a gentle ocean breeze, and the shine shone down on our happy pair. We love the vibrant floral arch they choose for their ceremony! It was natural, beautiful, and elegant…just the feeling they dreamed of for their big day. Their friends and family were so happy to have made the journey to see these two wed! Neither Katie nor Jacob have been to Maui, so it must have felt totally surreal and like a dream!

Our Future Together

Don’t they make a gorgeous pair? Katie looked stunning in her lace gown and vibrant bouquet. Jacob’s aloha shirt peeking out underneath his sharp suit, caught our eye too! Love it. Since their ceremony was just on the lawn in front of the ocean, it was easy to walk down to the beach (even in a long dress!) for some newlywed portraits. The soft light from the setting sun created some dreamy and glowy photographs…We hope Maui is another “happy place” in their hearts!

“I fell in love with him piece by piece,” said Charmane before her Maui venue wedding when we asked her how these two met. They met in high school, and it was a sweet and slow process. Charmane, who participated in many extracurricular clubs, met Dee through a mutual friend after one of the club meetings. From then on, they became friends and slowly grew into something more…fast forward from the high school halls they are now tying the knot in Maui! Despite the uncertainty over the past few years, Amy and Kenneth took full advantage of the time at home to get to know one another. Kenneth and Amy are two peas in a pod (they both work in art), and their love was palpable throughout their special day. You can tell they are the best of friends and love a good laugh together! And they shared many throughout their big day!

Their beautiful day began under a stunning tropical greenery circle arch at Gannon’s in Kihei. The talented team at Dellables did a fantastic job, don’t you think? The sun shone down during their heartfelt vows as if symbolizing the warmth and love of their words. And look on Riley’s face when he saw Kristin walk down the aisle in her exquisite lace gown was priceless!

If you can’t tell already, we love this venue because of the panoramic view of the ocean from the grassy lawn. The spectacular view and the intimacy of the tropical setting make this spot one of our favorites. You can feel the tropical ambiance through their stunning ceremony photos… Even though their Maui venue wedding was a destination location, everyone was so happy to be there to celebrate our happy couple!

A Day To Celebrate

Everyone was ready to celebrate the happy newlyweds! Even though it was an intimate Maui venue wedding, the energy was no less full of excitement and lively! Kristin and Riley were surrounded by love and well wishes throughout the day… But before they went off to celebrate at their reception, we captured a few portraits by the water’s edge at nearby Southside Beach. And since these two love fishing and anything outdoorsy, the natural beauty of the ocean was the perfect romantic setting for some newlywed portraits!

As if things couldn’t get any better, we even stumbled across an adorable sleeping turtle! It served as the finishing touch to an already wonderful day for the happy pair! A unique Hawaiian experience to remember forever…

Our friends at Salon 253 Bride approached us to collaborate on a Maui wedding inspiration shoot for 2023, we naturally said yes! They wanted our help finding a gorgeous location to shoot and we thought what better place than our newest venue wedding offering, Andaz Resort in Wailea! If you’re dreaming of a private, oceanfront setting for your upcoming nuptials, this gorgeous setting is sure to steal your heart! Besides the fantastic bridal hair and makeup by Salon 253 Bride, we partnered with our talented friends at Karma Hill Photography, Colie Marie Design Co, and Kiawe Outdoor for a bohemian-styled shoot to showcase the beauty of this stunning venue and some popular wedding trends in decor and hair and makeup for 2023!

Maui Wedding Venue – Andaz Wailea

This luxurious and private venue is situated right in the center of Wailea, on Maui’s Southwest Shore. This area, in general, is known for its spectacular sunsets and breathtaking views, home to some of the most beautiful beaches on the island! And what we love most about the Andaz Wailea as a wedding venue is the resort’s stunning beachside lawns. Lawns, Laule’a 1 or Laule’a 3, are surrounded by the natural splendor of the ocean and lush tropical greenery.

Both are stunning options for a Maui venue wedding! Laule’a 1 offers broad ocean vistas and swaying palm trees, creating a tropical and intimate setting. Laule’a 3 features a majestic, old-growth Kiawe tree that creates a distinctive and visually stunning backdrop. With both venues, couples have flexibility with their décor and design. Bringing all the elements together for this styled shoot was so much fun – from the stunning setting to the little details of the day. The bohemian details with a touch of tropical flair were present throughout the shoot, which felt fresh and unique!

Salon 253 Bride worked their magic again with our bride’s beautiful plaited hair! Her makeup was done meticulously by the talented team at Salon 253 with a soft natural look. Her long golden tresses paired with a lovely haku flower crown by florist Colie Marie Design Co was the perfect style for this tropical bohemian shoot. Our bride’s tulle gown reflected the beachy atmosphere, hinting at the white frothy waves just beyond the lawn… What an excellent collaboration to bring out the bride’s beauty.

Decor Specialists

Thanks to Colie Marie Design Co for the beautiful tropical bouquet and amazing chair arrangement. The flowers looked so vibrant and the colors were perfect for an outdoor Maui wedding inspiration shoot.

Kiawe Outdoor created the perfect lavish weddinging setup. Peacock chairs, plush bohemian decor, feathers, candles, and tropical blooms artfully set the tone for this spectacular aspirational shoot. With Hawaii’s lush scenery as our backdrop and gorgeous details, the outdoor venue was the perfect romantic escape for our couple.

Models

Thanks to our gorgeous models Chelsea and Cody who are actually newlyweds! You both looked relaxed under the magnificent Kiawe tree overlooking the beach. We are so lucky to have you both help create this beautiful wedding scene…with a sip of champagne, of course!

Andaz Wedding Photography Coverage

After relaxing at our luxe bohemian spread, our couple walked around the grounds for a few romantic sunset portraits against the ocean backdrop. Our highly skilled team of photographers at Karma Hill Photography will capture all the best elements (both natural and any decor) of the setting for each portrait, ensuring our couple’s Maui wedding photography is dynamic with flattering angles within the tropical splendor.

After receiving many well wishes, it was time to bring the love to the beach! But, of course, their love of the beach is what drew them to Maui in the first place! So our newlyweds were more than happy to head down to Southside Beach for some additional intimate portraits. One thing that caught our eye was Brett’s delightful custom bouquet – full of vibrant tropical colors like coral, pink, and yellow, which matched her flower crown perfectly! And Lance looked so handsome in his plaid suit – blue is always such a great choice for a beach wedding!

The newlyweds basked in that “Just Maui’d” bliss as the sun set on their Maui venue wedding. These portraits’ lighting is so dreamy – from the pink pastel sky to the soft turquoise blue of the water. We love this beach for this very reason; the sunsets are magnificent! The breathtaking view of the ocean as their backdrop for the ceremony was just one feature that created an extra layer of romance to their newlywed portraits! A perfect ending to a perfect day…

On another beautiful day in Hawaii, Stephanie and Jeff said “I do” at their wonderful Maui venue wedding! It was hard to believe that this special couple had actually met on a blind date set up by a mutual friend! After their first date, the rest was history…they are truly meant to be together! Oceanfront Celebration

Their intimate ceremony took place at the incredible venue, Merriman’s, in Kapalua, which is located right on the water’s edge. Our charming couple, who absolutely adore the surrounding area, couldn’t have chosen a better spot for their Maui venue wedding! The ocean views, blue skies, the salty breeze, and the stunning floral arch only added to the romantic charm of their special day….

Their beautiful photos came out so bright and vibrant since the ceremony was in the late morning when the lighting is a little harsher, but our sweet pair loved the bright sunshine and blue sky that is so characteristic of Hawaii!

After many hugs, kisses, and well wishes from their fun-loving families, our newlyweds walked onto the beach to take a few more intimate portraits with us. As they strolled hand-in-hand, it felt surreal to them to be celebrating their love in Maui! It was time to take their shoes off and let newlywed bliss begin!

Stephanie looks like a beach goddess with her long blonde tresses and flowing gown – simply stunning! Her handsome new husband Jeff’s blue suit picked up the gorgeous ocean blues of the tropical setting that hit every right style note in our book!

Janikka and Rainier fell so much in love with Maui when they visited several years ago that when it came to planning their marriage, it was the first place that came to their minds! Not only did they recently celebrate their Maui venue wedding, but they spent their beautiful honeymoon here right after!

A funny thing happened when they went to a luau when they were just dating – the lady at the front desk thought they were married, and they said, “no, we’re just dating,” and she replied, “well, you better do something about that!” Clearly, she could tell how much in love they were…we like to think fate had a hand it their union! It Had To Be Maui

Our couple’s Maui venue wedding was an absolute dream come true! After six years of dating, they knew that Maui was the perfect place to say “I do”. Their ceremony took place on the grassy knoll at Gannon’s, surrounded by lush greenery and stunning views of the ocean. The weather cooperated perfectly, providing a beautiful sunny day for this special occasion.

Janikka looked absolutely breathtaking in her modern white gown, while Rainier looked sharp in his suit. Their love for each other was palpable throughout the entire ceremony as they exchanged vows and shared their first kiss as husband and wife! Who could have guessed after their first visit all those years ago they would tie the knot in Maui? Their friends and family were more than happy to make the big trip to celebrate their Maui venue wedding as you can see by the joy in their smiles…

Off Into The Sunset

After the happy cheers and a few happy tears, we went down to Southside Beach to capture our happy newlyweds’ first moments as husband and wife. It felt utterly surreal for both since they only played at a Maui venue wedding after their first trip here! But it couldn’t have been a more perfect decision.

It’s clear in these beautiful portraits that this couple had been waiting for this moment for a long time, and now that it had finally arrived, they were savoring every second of it. Their love radiated from every photo – a true testament to the power of love and commitment.
