Let’s celebrate our happy newlyweds, Elizabeth and Nolan, on their Maui venue wedding! The sun was shining, and the ocean waves were lapping on the shore; it was another perfect day on the island for this happy pair! Nolan and Elizabeth’s love story started during college at Chico State, and after dating for five years, Nolan proposed during their vacation in Maui with Elizabeth’s family present. So sweet and thoughtful! (Once we heard that detail, we knew their celebration would be full of love and warmth.) The yes moment was low-key and spontaneous, perfectly capturing their connection and love for each other… which also explains why they chose to tie the knot in Maui! Our New Beginning

Elizabeth and Nolan are in their late 20s, with Nolan working as a Wine and Spirits Sales Representative in Pismo Beach, California, while Elizabeth is working on her teaching credential. We could feel their love and friendship through our lens when we saw them lock eyes before their Maui venue wedding ceremony!

Their wedding day was absolutely beautiful, with Merriman’s Kapalua providing a stunning backdrop for their ceremony and reception. We love this venue because it offers views like this, the ocean right at your feet with privacy too! Their ceremony was breathtakingly beautiful, and everyone was joyful and happy to celebrate this special moment with Elizabeth and Nolan! Their joy and happiness were infectious!

After the ceremony, we walked down to the beach to capture their newlywed portrait in the glittering golden sun. The new Mr. & Mrs. Wagoner looked chic and beautiful, perfectly complementing the natural beauty of the beach and the ocean! Elizabeth was so graceful as she walked over the weathered rocks with Nolan by her side… There’s nothing more romantic than that!

We know how much Maui means to these lovebirds, and this is just the beginning of their next chapter!

We are absolutely thrilled to share the love story of Hannah and Kyle and their beautiful Maui venue wedding! Believe it or not, these two love birds have known each other since middle school and remained close friends until they started dating in undergrad! They got engaged in Kauai and come to Hawaii every year, but this is their first time in Maui. And to say it was a memorable first impression would be an understatement! She Walks In Beauty

Their special day took place on the stunning grass lawn at Gannon’s overlooking the ocean with a breathtaking flower semi-circle as the altar. Nothing says romance like gorgeous flowers! The sun was shining down, making for a bright and happy atmosphere. Hannah looked incredible in her off-the-shoulder gown paired with her custom-made bouquet, while Kyle looked dapper in his blue suit. Both look summery and fresh and, most importantly, so in love. All these years of knowing each other had finally come to this moment!

Everyone was so happy to celebrate these two; it was so thoughtful each guest had an orchid lei too! Truly a Hawaiian hospitable touch that extends a welcome with love!

There were lots of hugs and kisses after their lovely ceremony to celebrate these two! Afterward, we whisked our newlyweds away and headed to Southside Beach to capture some romantic moments between the new Mr. & Mrs. Alegado! There is something so romantic about walking on the beach as a newly married couple. You can feel their joy and happiness in these moments! Hawaii will forever hold a special place in their hearts!

We’re thrilled to share the happy news of Kimberly and Bill’s Maui venue wedding! They wanted to get married in a special location they had never been to before, and Maui seemed like the perfect romantic destination for them.

As true romantics, they did a lot of research before deciding on Maui as their wedding location. They loved Maui’s variety of scenic backgrounds, from beaches to waterfalls to beautiful grassy areas perfect for capturing memories! Kimberly and Bill have a beautiful love story that spans several years and states. After reconnecting in 2018, they spent many evenings talking on the phone and visiting each other. The pandemic allowed them to be together in one spot finally, and in May 2021, Kimberly officially moved to Houston to be with Bill. They got engaged just a few short months later, in August, and now they are officially “Just Maui’d!” Keep reading to see more of their charming celebration…

For their special day, they chose the charming and tropical Olowalu Plantation, an old sugar plantation house right on the oceanfront. It is a beautiful and historic property that is a true island gem! The lovely setting and charm added sweetness to their Maui venue wedding.

Our gorgeous bride, Kimberly, looked absolutely exquisite in her embroidered gown with her custom bouquet! Her flowers are simply gorgeous and so fresh! Bill looked equally as dapper and handsome. Everyone was so happy to share this moment with them!

After their “I, do’s,” we whisked our lovebirds away to capture their newlywed portraits! One reason why we love this venue for its ample photo locations and variety of scenery for portraits. From the jetty to the grass lawn overlooking the ocean, there are endless opportunities! Our happy couple wanted to make sure to take advantage of them all! And, if we do say ourselves, these photos are utterly romantic!

We all could use a little more whimsy and romance in our lives! Our lovely couple, Marisa and Ashkan’s Maui venue wedding, was an enchanting celebration of their love story. As a pandemic couple, they had only been together for two years, but their bond was strong and unbreakable. They met on Hinge in early June of 2020, and ever since their first date, they have been inseparable!

Our happy pair wanted their day to be effortless, simple, and carefree with a little bit of whimsy into the mix and thanks to our incredible team and partners, we made that dream come true!

Maui Felt Right

We felt like we stepped into a romantic fairy tale at their Maui venue wedding at Merriman’s Kapalua! The soft light made it feel even more enchanting for their inimate vow ceremony. Maui holds a special place in Marisa’s heart too! Her parents remarried right on Kapalua Beach when she was just four years old. Both love the island, so Maui only made sense when it came to planning out their special day!

Their wedding ceremony was held right by the water, where the pastel tones of the day shone through. From Marisa’s enchanting dress to Ashkan’s mauve three-piece suit, every element of their day felt unique and romantic…

A magical petal toss felt like the best way to celebrate the new Mr. & Mrs. Hosseinzadeh after their enchanting Maui venue wedding! Their friends and family couldn’t be happier for them…They will have a larger reception party later in the year to celebrate, but this moment was just for them!

Their Maui venue wedding photos are truly breathtaking, with the pink sunset sky only enhancing the beauty and romance of their day. These portraits look like a fairytale beachy dream! The pastel tones of the day added a touch of whimsy and enchantment, perfectly reflecting the love and joy that Marisa and Ashkan share. They make such a gorgeous and stylish pair don’t you think?

We recently spent the most magical day with our lovely couple, Macy and Blake! Their Maui venue wedding was a beautiful explosion of tropical flowers and natural beauty, with a touch of elegance and romance. Every element of their special day was perfect, from the orchids, tropical bounty, and palms at the altar.

So, let’s first start with a bit of history of our lovely pair! Macy is a high school biology teacher, while Blake is an accountant, and they enjoy spending time together at the lake or cabin and hanging out with friends and family. They also graduated from Mississippi State University and got engaged shortly after, and they’ve been together since 2013! Their wedding date was extra special as it fell on their 10th dating anniversary, making it a perfect celebration of their love and commitment to each other. Macy’s parents got married in Maui, and they wanted a stress-free and beautiful wedding just like theirs! That’s where Simple Maui Wedding came in, as you’ll see below!

Altar In Paradise

This gorgeous styled altar is so breathtakingly beautiful! We love the fresh white and green color palette they chose for their Maui venue wedding at our Rustic Hawaiian Ruins. The historic open-air chapel only enhanced the natural beauty of the decor! Our floral partner, Dellables, did a fantastic job of making their celebration so special!

Their beautiful Maui venue wedding was filled with love and happiness, with their close friends and family in attendance to witness their vows. It felt like a corner of paradise just for these love birds! We were so touched by the thoughtful details and the tender moments they shared during their ceremony. These two now can officially say they are “Just Maui’d!”

After saying, “I do,” they drove off in a flashy Mustang to the beach for some stunning newlywed portraits! Riding off into the sunset in style (and love!)

Macy and Blake looked head over heels in love, and their portraits perfectly captured their joy and happiness on their special day. The soft light is so flattering and golden in these portraits…one reason why we love shooting at the golden hour! It was an honor to capture these final moments of their dream Maui venue wedding!

Elegant simplicity done right! Krystal and Edward’s Maui venue wedding was a simple and modern affair that was full of love and happiness! It was a celebration with their closest friends and family right by the water’s edge. Everyone was so happy to be there to celebrate the happy pair!

The look on Eddie’s face when he saw his gorgeous bride walk down the aisle with her dad, was priceless. Krystal looked stunning in a silky low-cut back dress that was modern and sleek, and her beauty shone through every moment of their special day…

Their simple, elegant ceremony was held at the gorgeous Wailea Beach Resort, right in front of the ocean, which provided the perfect backdrop for their nuptials. Their beautiful ceremony was heartfelt, full of tender moments between the couple. The sanctity of this moment never escapes us! We were so touched by their words which were carried off into the salty breeze forever…

The happy newlyweds had the most spectacular sunset was stunning with hues of gold and pink! The newlyweds looked relaxed and happy, enjoying each other’s company as we captured their love on camera.

“Must love dogs” should be these two’s intro to their romance! Ashley and Jesse’s Maui venue wedding was the perfect reflection of their fun personalities and love story. These two lovebirds met over 13 years ago while working at a restaurant on and off… One day, Jesse returned to the restaurant to try and pick up some shifts when Ashley walked in with her new puppy, Biggie just before her shift began. That was the moment it all started, and the rest is history…

Fast forward 13 years later, and Jesse surprised Ashley on their anniversary with a helicopter ride into the mountains, where he got down on one knee and proposed! Ashley had always dreamed of an outdoor wedding, and Jesse had always wanted to go to Hawaii, so a Maui venue wedding was the perfect opportunity to combine their dreams! Ashley and Jesse kept their wedding simple and fun, reflecting their warm personalities…

It was their moment just for them, and they were so happy to begin the next step in their love story with all their loved ones in attendance. The day was full of love, laughter, and memories that will surely last a lifetime! We were honored to be a part of their special day!

They didn’t want to miss out on catching the sunset for some beautiful newlywed photos! Riding out to the sunset in style, no less! It was a dreamy and romantic ending to an incredible day… they look so happy and head over heels in love in these portraits! A Maui destination wedding is many couples’ dream, one we take complete pride and joy in bringing to life for beautiful couples like Cassidy and Grant! Cassidy had always dreamed of getting married in Maui… so we were honored to be able to coordinate their special day for them. They wanted a relaxing, enjoyable, carefree, beautiful, and unforgettable celebration – and that’s exactly what their big day was!

First, a little backstory on our lovely pair… Cassidy and Grant are high school sweethearts; they met four years ago and got engaged under Christmas lights last December! Very romantic. Their love story is as sweet as can be, and it was a delight to begin their journey with them as husband and wife!

Rustic & Beautiful

Their Maui destination wedding was beautiful and intimate, with a Hawaiian vibe at its core. They tied the knot at Rustic Hawaiian Ruins, Trinity-By-The-Sea, an old church dating back to the 1800s! The coral brick walls surrounding the altar of this outdoor chapel feel rustic yet dreamy, with tropical palms all around. So it’s the perfect mix of a tropical venue yet with a beachy feel! It was just what they had hoped for, and we loved how the light filtered through the setting; it was bright and airy and oh so Hawaiian...

Finally, after they said their “I do’s,” we took our lovely newlyweds to the beach for some portraits! It was a bright, sunny morning, creating a happy atmosphere perfect for capturing the moment’s joy. We love how airy and bright their photos look; they genuinely capture the tropical essence of Cassidy and Grant’s Maui destination wedding!

Lisa and David’s Maui venue wedding was a stunning celebration of love that left us absolutely breathless! Surrounded by close friends and family, the love that filled the air was palpable. Everyone was so happy to be there to celebrate this amazing couple!

The romance was in the air from the start, and we could feel it with every click of our camera. The light was ethereal, making everything look like it was straight out of a fairytale. When Lisa and David exchanged their vows under that bloom-covered arch studded with pink blooms, we couldn’t help but feel like we were witness to something truly magical…

Love With A View

Lisa and David share a passion for the outdoors which has brought them closer together. They have spent countless hours exploring new trails, riding their dirtbikes through the mountains, and traveling to drag races around the country…you can tell they are the best of friends!

When it came time to choose a venue for their big day, they knew that they wanted something that reflected their love for nature and somewhere beautiful. Lisa’s father and grandmother are originally born and raised in Hawaii, so this felt incredibly special to the couple… Gannon’s provided the perfect combination of stunning views and an elegant atmosphere, and privacy, making it the ideal location for their Maui venue wedding!

Into The Sunset

Before celebrating, we snuck down to Southside Beach to capture some of the most stunning images of their Maui venue wedding! We’ve seen a lot of bouquets in our days, but Lisa’s was exceptionally beautiful! It was so fresh and springy with the pink peonies. But not quite as gorgeous as how our lovely bride looks in her tulle gown…the soft light added to the romance of the moment too! This kind of light is perfect for portraits because it flatters everyone and adds a romantic, almost ethereal quality to their photos, don’t you think? The soft backlight at created a beautiful halo effect around them, making them look like they were glowing with happiness and love!

The happy newlyweds were completely lost in the moment, wrapped up in each other’s arms and enjoying the beautiful scenery around them. Everything else seemed to melt away…

Maui was showing off (again!) for our lovely pair! The soft backlight creates a warm and dreamy effect that adds to the romance of the photos. It makes everything look and feel more intimate and personal, like you’re peeking into a moment of pure love and joy between Lisa and David…

Madison and Chad always dreamt of getting married by the water, so we were delighted to coordinate their Maui venue wedding! (Given that fact, we think they couldn’t have picked a better place than Hawaii!) It was a glorious day by the water’s edge under the sunshine for their special day. These lovebirds met on a dating app in January 2022 and fell in love from day one! They have so much in common, and they knew this connection was something special. Several months later, they were engaged!

Their big day finally arrived, and we couldn’t be happier for them! Their Maui venue wedding was exactly what they envisioned; ocean breeze, sunshine, salty air…and full of love. Chad especially wanted to get married in Maui, so they thought, why not?!

Oceanside Dreams

Their beautiful oceanside ceremony took place at Wailea Beach Resort at Lanai Point on Maui’s South Shore. We love this location because it allows you to be as close as possible to the ocean while still having the privacy of a venue wedding! Guests can sit comfortably and admire the view and the celebration. It’s the best of a beach and venue wedding! Plus, the views are incredible too!

It wasn’t long before our happy newlyweds left the shoes at the altar and made their way down to the beach below! They basked in the golden sun and the carefree, relaxed ambiance of the gorgeous setting. The sunset was incredible for the new Mr. and Mrs. too! Their Maui venue wedding ended with a golden glowing bang, as you can see! Maui’s south shores rarely disappoint! It was the perfect ending to Madison and Chad’s special day…

These two know how to create a meaningful and joyful celebration. They brought along their immediate family, their all-star style, and their romantic energy. And it all came together in the most beautiful way!

Dreamy Greens and Sweet Pastels

One of our favorite things about any Gannon’s Wedding is the stunning backdrop. You get the rich greens of the Wailea hillside and the glistening ocean in the distance. April & Connor decided to accent this natural beauty by adding a circle arch with lush tropical greenery. It created the perfect frame for their swift and heartfelt ceremony.

April also chose our Pastel Rustic Hawaiian bouquet. This one-of-a-kind creation features in-season florals that are grown here on Maui.

Then, as the sun began setting, it was like the sky drew colors straight from her bouquet. The horizon lit up with dreamy pastels straight out of a storybook. It was the perfect ending for a perfect wedding, though the newlyweds still had lots of celebrating to do!

After their Gannon’s Wedding ceremony and beach portraits, they met their family at the Grand Wailea for a delicious dinner. And then it was time to honeymoon! These two had such a fun vacation ahead of them!

Though we only spent a few hours with April & Connor, we felt honored to meet them. They’re an incredible couple who aim to share joy any chance they get. This radiated throughout their Maui Destination Wedding, and it shines in each of their photos.

Gannon’s Restaurant is on a hillside that overlooks the ocean and Wailea shoreline. You could have a complete couple’s photoshoot on the grounds of the venue, since there are so many great backdrops to enjoy.

Christopher & Garrett had a gorgeous Kapalua Wedding last week, and it was our great honor to be their coordinator. The Steeple House offered a scenic, comfortable setting, and the sweet couple brought a romantic, giddy energy. What a joy!

When these two first contacted us to book a wedding package, we asked what their vision for the day was. We love what they said:

“Relaxed. Easy-going… This is paradise — we are literally surrounded by paradise.“

They wanted a classic yet modern Hawaii wedding and spent years looking forward to it. This hard-working pair were together for 11 years before tying the knot, and it was worth the wait.

Today we’re sharing some favorite images from Christopher & Garrett’s Kapalua wedding and some insight into how we brought their vision to life. Check it all out below!

Creating Their Life

Is a Kapalua Wedding worth the wait? We hope we impressed these two great guys and created a warm, welcoming place for them to celebrate their love.

Christopher & Garrett met online in 2012 and quickly realized they were the perfect match. They soon felt married in their hearts, but decided to wait for their actual wedding until they completed school.

Now they’re both nurses and have built a beautiful life together. And as they grew and changed together, they also saw the world grow and change.

They’ve been looking forward to their wedding for 11 years, so that’s a lot of pressure! Luckily Christopher & Garrett discovered the scenic simplicity of a Kapalua wedding and decided it would be perfect for them.

We love how their day turned out. Their guests were excited and joyful, eager to provide support and fanfare. And Christopher & Garrett were absolutely radiant. Scroll down to see more photos from Karma Hill Photography!

From First Hawaii Visits to a Kapalua Wedding

This wasn’t Christopher & Garrett’s first time in Hawaii. In fact, they got engaged on Oahu. It was just the two of them on a secluded beach under a rainbow. They’ve always loved visiting the islands, so a gorgeous Kapalua wedding was the perfect fit.

They were joined by a small group of loved ones — siblings, nieces, friends. But they were sure to get in some alone time too.

After a joyful ceremony on the lawn of the Steeple House, we headed to nearby Ironwoods Beach. This is a vast, breezy location with sea cliffs and glistening sand — one of the best places for Maui wedding portraits.

So as the sun set, we got a few final pictures of the newlyweds and then sent them on their way to celebrate with their guests. We are so happy we got to be a part of Christopher & Garrett’s Kapalua wedding!
