We recently had the pleasure of coordinating our first-ever wedding for our wonderful couple, Kathryn and Joseph, at the stunning venue, Andaz Resort in Wailea! Their Maui venue wedding was absolutely perfect, down to every little detail, from the tropical floral sconces to the old-growth Kiawe tree that majestically sheltered our happy couple. It was a joy to coordinate this special day for our newlyweds. And it is also just as memorable for our Simple Maui Wedding team too! To start their intimate ceremony, their friends and family gathered under the magnificent Kiawe tree on the Laule’a 3 Lawn, just one of two gorgeous oceanfront lawns offered in our Andaz Resort Wedding Package. Kathyrn and Joseph hail from Tacoma, Washington, so you can imagine they were delighted to bask in the sunshine and tropical temperatures in mid-February! The gorgeous scenery and tropical flower sconces provided all the natural decor in the simple, elegant style they hoped for…

Since our charming pair visited Maui for the first time last year, they fell in love with the island and knew they wanted to return and get married here! So they were beyond happy to exchange their vows in our newest venue location in paradise, making it feel even more special for everyone. It was fun, carefree, romantic, and relaxed…just how they wanted their Maui venue wedding to feel!

More Than A Dream

After their beautiful ceremony, we were excited to photograph our newlyweds in the gorgeous spots this tropical oceanfront venue offers! Since Joseph and Kathryn are nature lovers, we captured several stunning portraits with their friends and family under the towering tree and the surrounding tropical foliage. This is the perfect spot for a couple wanting privacy yet being outdoors in a natural oceanfront setting without the beach crowds…

The Best Of Both Worlds

Another fantastic and dramatic setting for newlywed portraits is the striking entrance of the resort. It’s bold and minimalistic, making it a beautiful contrast to the portraits taken in the lush natural surroundings outside.

Naturally, our newlyweds wanted to head down to Mokapu Beach in front of the resort for some more intimate portraits. After all, when in Hawaii…! This beach is truly stunning because it has a variety of backgrounds for stunning photos, such as lava rocks, turquoise waters, and palm trees… And maybe a turtle or two! The natural beauty and marine life of Maui are what Kathyrn and Joseph love so much!

We love the tropical flair of their attire! Especially Joseph’s bright aloha shirt and Kathryn’s gorgeous tropical bouquet against her sparkly gown. Relaxed yet refined with a touch of aloha – a perfect choice for a Maui wedding!

Why did Katie and Justin love the idea of a Maui venue wedding? Katie’s brother had been married in Maui five years ago, and she fell in love with the simplicity, beauty, and laid-back vibe of the island. So when it came time to choose a wedding destination, there was no doubt where they would go!

Once they settled on the idea of tying the knot in paradise, they chose Steeple House for their special day. It provided the privacy and simplicity for their intimate celebration with close friends and family. The couple loved the idea of being surrounded by only those closest to them on this big day as you can imagine! Their friends and family were excited for the upcoming trip, making it all even more special…

Since our lovely pair have never been to Hawaii, the tropical setting of Rustic Hawaiian Ruins at Trinity-By The-Sea was perfect for their intimate ceremony. The lush greenery and seclusion added to the romantic ambiance of their big day. As our happy couple recalled, “We have always wanted to come to Hawaii and could not think of a better way to celebrate our wedding than to come and experience it there for the first time with our friends and family!” We couldn’t agree more!

Our happy newlyweds wanted to savor every moment of their Maui venue wedding by taking a few portraits by the water’s edge. After all, when in Hawaii, is there any better place to take the first steps as husband and wife? Their love and devotion for each other were palpable as we snapped away. Imagine meeting the love of your life in grade school…Anjelica and David can! David was Anjelica’s brother’s best friend from the second grade. And David’s salmon-colored suit was so refreshing to see! He looked so handsome, and it felt unique yet laid-back…perfect for a tropical wedding in Hawaii!

Many of our couples meet organically through mutual friends, and that’s precisely how these two lovebirds met! Emma and Grant’s Maui destination wedding is a beautiful and elegant affair, a day they dreamed of for so long! Magic was in the air when our couple first met; they spent the whole evening chatting away and ended up closing the restaurant! But, of course, those sparks were just the beginning of their romance. We Knew It Had To Be Maui

Joined by a few close friends and family who traveled to their Maui destination wedding, their wedding ceremony was quiet and intimate. But no less gorgeous with the tropical florals and arch! The verdant and scenic setting at Gannon’s provided privacy for our sweet couple to exchange their endearing vows…

Grant and Emma visited Maui together in November of 2021 and immediately fell in love with the island. So when thinking of a place to have their destination wedding, they knew it had to be in Maui!

When planning their Maui destination wedding, our happy newlyweds wanted something elegant, simple, and intimate. So, we were thrilled and honored to help create that dream come true because that’s what we do best at Simple Maui Wedding!

After their lovely ceremony, we wanted to capture just a few portraits of the happy newlyweds with the lush and green scenery. They couldn’t look happier! The way they look and embrace each other says it all… The only one missing in these portraits was their precious pup Presley who is the light of their lives! (And also had a paw in their engagement story too!)

Emma knows how to do elegance right with her deep V gown and stunning white and green bouquet. It looks so pure and classic, contrasting with the grassy lawn in the distance. We are so lucky to have the most gorgeous brides at Simple Maui Wedding! And so is Grant! 😉 who looks so handsome in his navy and black lapel suit…

“We really are the ying and yang,” our charming couple Jacqie and Daniel said before their Maui venue wedding. Our easygoing couple, relaxed and colorful affair, turned out to be a splendid day despite the rain showers. Thanks to our nimble wedding coordinators, we turned the rain into rainbows so to speak! It was our pleasure to make their dream wedding come true…

Our sweet couple hail from the Pacific Northwest, and they fell in love with Maui when they visited in 2020 and knew they had to return one day. Jacqie also used to be a Hawaiian dancer growing up, and they really connect to the island’s culture. So now here they are tying the knot at their Maui venue wedding!

But first, the first look! The smile on Daniel’s face when he saw Jacqie for the first time was priceless! She looks like a tropical goddess with her vibrant bouquet and haku flower crown…

Our Best Day Ever

Their tropical ceremony was held at Gannon’s, and thankfully the rain held off for their sacred vows! It was intimate, simple, and beautiful, exactly what they hoped for…and they were surrounded by their close friends and family who were so happy to witness their big day! These two have been together for nine years, full of love and growth, so you can imagine they are ready to begin their next adventure!

Now it was time to celebrate! With a burst of bubbles, no less! It was a fun and lighthearted touch that captured their bubbly and adventurous personalities! Is there anything more cheerful than a cloud of bubbles?! Their Maui venue wedding perfectly encapsulated their new start for their next chapter…

Before continuing their celebration, we took a walk down to Southside Beach to catch the sunset! And they had the most colorful and beautiful sunsets, as you’ll see! The rain had dissipated and unveiled a colorful and glorious sky as if in honor of our dear couples’ big day…

Who doesn’t love a good love story? Melissa and Nick reconnected after years apart and fell madly in love! So we were delighted to coordinate their Maui venue wedding, a beautiful and intimate celebration filled with love and happiness. These two sweethearts have known each other since they were kids, growing up in the same town and attending the same high school. They even dated briefly as teenagers, but life took them in different directions. Finally, fate brought them back together, and now they are officially “Just Maui’d!”

When planning their Maui venue wedding, Melissa and Nick wanted something small and intimate. They wished to celebrate their love with their closest friends and family, and they wanted to exchange their vows in a special place. For Melissa, that place was Maui, Hawaii! She has always been fond of the islands and their beautiful beaches… it was the perfect setting for their rustic and casual celebration!

Our lovely couple chose to have their wedding at Merriman’s Kapalua, right by the water’s edge! The venue was the perfect choice for their intimate celebration, with its stunning views of the ocean and its laid-back ambiance. As you can see, their friends and family were so excited for them!

Melissa is quite literally swept off her feet! Oh, how we love, true love! Their newlywed portraits by the ocean’s edge are so romantic, full of adoration and devotion. The gorgeous sunset that illuminated the sky was the cherry on top of their Maui venue wedding celebration… They are ready to begin the next chapter of their lives together; what could be a better send-off than a Maui sunset!?

Our happy couple took a vacation together to Maui in August of 2021, and it was on this trip that Morgan proposed to Audrey! (We also had the honor to capture their proposal back in 2021!) The two of them have always loved being around the water and, in Morgan’s words, “If it doesn’t have a beach, it’s not a real vacation!” So, when they visited Maui, they immediately fell in love with the island’s way of life and knew they wanted a Maui destination wedding! Their friends and family, naturally, were so excited to make the trip (vacation!) and be able to share their Maui destination wedding with them. And they were not disappointed!

Their gorgeous wedding took place at Merriman’s Kapalua, right by the water. This location is ideal if you want the best of both worlds – picturesque views by the water and ceremony seating! However, what was most eye-catching during their ceremony was the stunning driftwood arch with tropical blooms…

As you can see, many made the journey for their Maui destination wedding! There’s nothing quite like celebrating with those you love most on your big day…and what a colorful bunch too! The vibrant and tropical colors were so fun to photograph!

More Than A Dream Wedding

Their first newlywed’s portraits were breathtaking as the sun slowly dimmed on the horizon. Audrey’s glittery, embroidered gown sparkled in the sunlight! And Morgan’s floral suit was also eye-catching and refreshing! Who can say no to a floral suit!?

These two were completely entranced in the moment’s magic, as you can see in these intimate portraits. The sound of the waves in the distance and the sun’s glow shining down on them added to Maui’s magical touch in their romantic love story!

We ended the year with a tropical bang with Margot and Garrett’s Maui venue wedding! It was a truly magical and unforgettable experience that was a pleasure to coordinate. The ceremony took place on the stunning oceanfront lawn at Wailea Beach Resort, with breathtaking views of the Pacific as a backdrop! The couple exchanged vows under a gorgeous driftwood arch adorned with pink and orange tropical blooms. The ceremony was meaningful and emotional; you could feel the profound love between Margot and Garrett… Seeing how moved our beautiful couple was at first glance was so endearing!

After their beautiful ceremony, we walked down to the beach with our happy newlyweds for a few sunset portraits to end their Maui venue wedding! And boy, did they have the most amazing colors to mark their incredible day! The golden hour reflected the blissful and romantic ambiance that surrounded our beautiful newlyweds. They were utterly lost in each other’s embrace and kiss!

How gorgeous is Margot with her vibrant blooms! She looks so radiant in the sun’s golden glow…truly exquisite! And Garrett looked equally handsome in his blue suit that complemented the deep ocean blue in the distance…

A Moment In Time

The ceremony at Gannon’s was absolutely stunning, with the lawn overlooking the breathtaking ocean serving as the perfect backdrop for the happy couple’s vows. It was a scene from a dream, that’s for sure!

But it wasn’t just the gorgeous location and stunning scenery that made this wedding so special – the love and joy shared by Christina, Orlando, and all their friends and family were present in every moment! We couldn’t be happier for the couple as they begin their journey together as husband and wife!

It was such a pleasure being their Maui wedding planner, and we were thrilled to be a part of their special day. Their love story is one that truly warms our hearts and reminds us why we do what we do.

The ceremony was absolutely stunning, with a beautiful driftwood arch serving as the altar! It added a beachy touch to the whole celebration. The arch, adorned with white roses and greenery, provided the perfect setting for the happy couple’s vows, and the lawn overlooking the breathtaking ocean served as the perfect backdrop. As the sun set behind them, the couple exchanged heartfelt promises and sealed their love with a kiss, surrounded by their loved ones.

The light filtering through the greenery is so luminous in these photos! These newlywed portraits feel utterly surreal and dreamy, don’t you agree?

After the ceremony, we photograph our charming newlyweds on Southside Beach, capturing the beauty and romance of their special day. And they were graced with the most beautiful sunset, as you can see! They look completely swept up in the magic of the moment…memories to remember for a lifetime!

They were joined by their sweet daughter Zaya, 6, for a few family portraits! She is their pride and joy, and it was so important to our happy newlyweds that she would be included in these moments, too, as you can imagine!

Hawaii’s magic blessed another one of our beautiful newlyweds again! It was our pleasure to coordinate Danielle and Julio’s Maui venue wedding! They exchanged vows on a lovely Sunday late afternoon in a stunning ceremony at Merriman’s, a stunning wedding venue with an ocean view. The setting was intimate and romantic, with close friends and family in attendance to witness the couple’s union…keep reading to see how their big day unfolded!

To the sound of the crashing waves, Danielle and Julio exchanged their heartfelt vows in the center of a stunning tropical floral circle! The ceremony at Merriman’s was private, with close friends and family in attendance, which felt deeply personal and meaningful…

Circle Of Our Love

As they exchanged their vows, we were drawn to how stunning of a bride Danielle was! Her lace wedding gown and veil are a classic and timeless choice. The addition of tropical blooms, which were some of Danielle’s favorites, added a unique and personal touch to her ensemble too! It’s always wonderful to see a bride incorporate elements that are meaningful to her into her wedding day look, don’t you think?

After their Maui venue wedding ceremony, we walked down to the beach with our beautiful newlyweds for a few wedding portraits! They can now officially say they were “Just Maui’d!”

Throughout the evening, the couple was surrounded by love and support from their friends and family. The final hours of their Maui venue wedding were breathtaking, as you can see! The sound of the ocean in the background and the beautiful Maui sunset provided the perfect romantic backdrop…

We love the soft, pastel sky…it looks like a painting! Danielle’s bridesmaids were dressed in every color of the sunset too!
