Because they got engaged IN the ocean, Miranda and DJ figured they should get married at the ocean! And what better reason to have a Maui Beach Elopement? The morning at Ironwoods glistened in brilliant shades of aquamarine and sapphire, and with their three beautiful children celebrating beside them, it was the perfect way to tie the knot and step into marriage. 

The Maui Beach Elopement

For their Maui Beach Elopement, Miranda and DJ chose a morning ceremony. The tropical brilliance of an early ceremony is take-your-breath-away lovely. Just look at that glowing ocean… and take a look at that glowing bride and groom! We loved how Miranda and DJ wore shades to complement the Hawaiian shore.

Before the ceremony began, our couple tossed flowers into the ocean to honor their parents. It was a beautiful and touching moment. 

After they promised their vows and unified their marriage, Miranda and DJ’s sweet babies joined them for a toast of apple cider right there on the beach! There were smiles and cheers (and giggles) all around! 

Our Couple’s Story

Miranda and DJ first crossed paths in college, but it wasn’t until 2014 when DJ reached out on Instagram and the romance began. After becoming official in 2015, it was a fast track to love! They were blessed with their first son in 2016 and were engaged in 2019. DJ popped the big question in Cozumel, Mexico while they were swimming in the ocean by the dock. And now they’ve come full circle, saying their “I do’s” with the ocean sprays on their shoulders!

One week ago, Kelly and Joshua chose to elope in Maui, Hawaii and now they’re happily Maui’d! Throughout her childhood, Kelly visited the island so frequently it became a second home. So when it came to deciding the location for their elopement, it was a no-brainer! Southside Beach put on all the golden sparkle, with clear skies and gentle tides. The wedding was relaxing, beautiful, and shared with best friends.

The moment Kelly and Joshua’s eyes met was pure magic. This is what love looks like. The joy and excitement was tangible. There’s no question that these sweethearts are meant to be!

Our Couple’s Story

Kelly and Joshua met while attending the same college, but it wasn’t until after they tossed their grad caps that the romance began. Now they’ve been together for 8 years and inching up to a decade! They recently bought their first home-sweet-home where they love to cuddle their two fur babies, Mason and Cooper.

Sharlene and Kevin were married at Gannon’s Maui Wedding Venue, overlooking Wailea and the sweeping coastal views. Sharlene walked down the aisle to “Here Comes the Sun,” and the choice couldn’t have been more perfect. The sunlight behaved like a dream during Sharlene and Kevin’s big day, gentle during the ceremony and brilliant during the photo session! 

The Maui Wedding Venue

Gannon’s Restaurant features an unparalleled view from the terrace. Framed with florals and greenery and with an onsight reception option, Sharlene and Kevin knew this was the perfect Maui wedding venue for their special day. A simple yet elegant bamboo arch created a classic backdrop for their “I do’s” while the spacious venue allowed plenty of room for their guests’ seating. 

We’re in love with the subtle way the bridesmaids’ dresses bring out the bright pops of bougainvillea. Not to mention how modern and stylish the groomsmen look! But of course, the real showstoppers were our sweet couple. Sharlene and Kevin could not stop smiling! When you’re marrying the love of your life, your cheeks are bound to hurt the next day! 

Our Couple’s Story

This is the first time our couple has been to Maui, and what a fantastic first it is! With Oahu already pegged on their map, Sharlene and Kevin wanted a rustic wedding that was relaxing and beautiful yet would still make a lasting impression on their guests. You can’t go wrong with a destination like Maui! 

These two nurses met at work and have a brilliant five-year-old daughter together. As they got to know each other, they realized they shared a lot of interests, including hiking, traveling, and watching anime. Kevin knew he wanted to involve a hike when he popped the big question. He arranged for a day around Yosemite, and he went down on a knee near a bubbling creek with the purple mountains in the backdrop. Sharlene said “Yes!”, and now this adventurous couple is saying “I do” in yet another one of the most beautiful places on earth! Keep scrolling for more!

Tara & Tommy had the most stunning Maui elopement at Southside Beach last week! Their intimate morning ceremony featured calm waters, clear views, and a quiet beach. Opting for an elopement allowed them to focus on what truly matters – their new marriage and their sweet kids!

Reverend Richardo offered a Hawaiian Blessing, and the couple wrote their own vows for each other. What a great way to make an elopement ceremony even more meaningful!

About Our Couple

Tara & Tommy met over 20 years ago, before either one of them were married or had kids. Once they were single again, they reconnected through Social Media. Tara said it was a random re-connection, but we think it might be fate!

These sweethearts got engaged in February of 2020. They’re a long distance couple, so it’s been an especially challenging engagement. We’re so glad that everything worked out for them to have a Maui elopement this summer! They had just two guests with them, and we couldn’t dream of a more adorable new family. Look at how their children are simply glowing!

A Maui Beach elopement wasn’t always the plan for Jodi & David. Originally they planned a a Colorado mountain wedding for summer 2020. When everything changed, this adventurous couple changed their plans too. Just the two of them on a beach in Maui. We know Jodi & David would have had a great wedding anywhere, but we’re so glad they ended up marrying in Maui!

About our Couple

Jodi and David met through a friend over 8 years ago. Since then, they’ve enjoyed wine tasting trips, time with their daughters, and traveling! They take walks at a small lake near their house. One evening during their walk, they sat down and enjoyed the mountain views. That’s when Dave asked Jodi to marry him. She was surprised and of course said yes!

Their engagement was full of ups & downs as Covid affected their planning. But it seemed like all the stars had aligned for them as they enjoyed a beautiful Hawaii evening for their Maui beach elopement!

There was magic in the air during Kathleen and Andrew’s Maui Wedding on the shore of Poʻolenalena Beach. With only the ocean to bear witness and warm sand beneath their feet, this was a ceremony with all the elements of an unforgettable union. Waiting for the love of his life, Andrew looked sleek in a tailored black tux. As he turned to take in Kathleen, his expression was collected and warm. The woman of his dreams was about to become his wife. Draped in a gown of lace with a summer-inspired flower crown and graceful waves, Kathleen was gorgeous! It was little wonder why this amazing couple couldn’t stop staring at each other!

Two days after their lovely ceremony, our photography team at Karma Hill Photography met up with Kathleen and Andrew once more. But this time it was on the rustic shore of Ironwoods in Kapalua. We loved how these two let loose and indulged in the ocean waves! 

Our Couple’s Story

Kathleen and Andrew are both pharmacists at the Portland VA Hospital. They love hiking, learning how to cook, traveling, working out on their Peloton, and of course watching TV (their new favorite show is The Masked Singer). Together they have two fur babies, their dogs Pikachu and Luca. 

Kathleen and Andrew met while they were in pharmacy school and have been together for nine years. One special day while they were relaxing at home, Andrew turned to her and said, “Hey, let’s get married.” And of course, she said yes! We love how natural and easy going these two are! Just look at those smiles!

It was a spectacular, fiery day during Antoinette and Jonathan’s Maui Vow Renewal. With a handful of loved ones in attendance and plenty to celebrate, there was no shortage of joy on the beach! The island even celebrated with a blazing sunset over Baldwin Beach that took our breath away!

The Maui Vow Renewal

After their tender vows, Antoinette and Jonathan were treated to a performance of  “How Long Will I Love You” by Ellie Goulding, all performed by their talented seven-year-old daughter. The moment was beyond charming! After popping the cider to celebrate, our couple and their guests sliced into the cake and gave cheers to a decade of love.

Our Couple’s Story

When asked about their love story, Jonathan replied, “Antoinette and I have been married for 10 years. We met in Nursing School and are both from the Philippines, but we currently reside in Maryland working as nurses. We have a beautiful daughter named Sophia who recently turned 7, and we love to travel as a family and spend time outdoors.”

“My wife and I first met in Nursing School. After we graduated, my wife went home to the Philippines, and I realized that she was the one I want to spend the rest of my life with. Mona and Nathan’s Maui Venue Wedding took place on the oceanside lawn of the 5 Palms in Wailea, and what a breathtaking day it was! With plenty of sunlight and an island breeze to cool the guests, Mona and Nathan took the wonderful step of starting their journey as husband and wife.

The day was vibrant with glistening oceans and clear skies. We loved how both the bride and groom made their entrance arm and arm with their loving parent. The smiles were contagious! The moment Mona stepped out into the aisle was magical. A hush came over the venue and Nathan clasped his hands together as he watched her, so ready to tie his life together with his beautiful bride. 

Our Couple’s Story

Mona and Nathan are both pharmacists who grew up in Oregon! Together they love exploring the Pacific Northwest, traveling, trying out new recipes, and hanging with family. They met at work and dated while Mona was finishing up pharmacy school. It seemed like Fate had prescribed them “love of the century,” and Nathan knew the time was right. During a hike along the Columbia Gorge, Nathan asked Mona to spend the rest of her life with him. And the rest of their story is right here on the blog!

If we had to choose one word to describe Kimberly and Johnnie’s Maui Venue Elopement, it would be unforgettable. Set on the sweeping grounds of the Dragon Fruit Farm in Lahaina with a panoramic ocean view and tropical blooms scenting the air, this ceremony was simply gorgeous. And with a lovely couple who shared plenty of laughter and sweet moments, the day was flooded with love. 

The Maui Venue Elopement

The moment Kimberly graced the lawn was pure magic. Wearing an endless veil, an elegant lace gown, and an up-do fit for royalty, she clearly took Johnnie’s breath away. The love shared between these two was palpable. Kimberly and Johnnie were married in front of a circular arch decorated with greenery and fragrant blooms with the aqua waters glistening in the backdrop. From tender vows to megawatt smiles, these two were over the moon to say “I do.”

Following the ceremony, our photography crew escorted our couple to the shoreline for a few beach shots against the setting sun. And Kimberly and Johnnie traveled there in style in a classic convertible cruiser! We loved the way her veil waved and cheered as they drove off! Stephanie owns a hair salon, and Michael is the  director of virtual construction for an electrical contractor. Together they have four furbabies, two cats and two dogs.

Their wedding day marks their ten-year anniversary, and we can only imagine what joy and adventures the next decade will bring!

On the shore of Polo Beach with just the ocean watching on, Shari and Kevin chose to Elope in Hawaii. The day brought glistening waters and dramatic, textured skies. With Reverend Kuya officiating their union, the love and excitement on the beach between Shari and Kevin was uncontainable.

Our Couple’s Story

Shari works for American Express within Risk Management,  and Kevin works for Orange, a French-based telecom company in Sales. They have three girls between them–19, 22, and 23–who are all super ambitious and make Shari and Kevin very proud to be their parents! 

Shari and Kevin met online during COVID (talk about a silver lining!). Their first few dates were long walks around the lake in Austin, as they got to know each other in the open air.
