The clear Lahaina skies shone around us when we joined Mickayla & AJ on the beach. As their Maui Wedding Coordinator, we were one of the lucky few who got to witness their joyous seaside ceremony. There were happy tears and lots of laughter, plus the incredible scenery you’ll only find here in Hawaii.

Don’t worry, though. They may have had only a small group of guests join them for their beach wedding, but they were sure to get great photos. So now they can share the day with everyone back home and relive these memories again and again.

We’re so excited to share some of their Maui wedding photography and shine the spotlight on this amazing couple!

The Road To Each Other’s Hearts

Mickayla & AJ work for the same company, though they don’t see each other much during the day. AJ is the mechanic, and Mickayla is in sales. Though they don’t share the same roles at work, they share many interests in their free time.

They enjoy all kinds of activities, like skiing, kayaking, and indoor rock climbing. But they also value their quiet time at home and quality time with family.

They also share an affinity for cars and even included a luxe ride in their proposal. It was just a year ago when these two were cruising through the mountains near Las Vegas in their rented Lamborghini when AJ stopped to “take in the view.”

It turned out it was actually Mickayla who took his breath away, and so he asked her to marry him!

And so they began looking forward to forever. Maui was the perfect place to begin the rest of their lives. We’re so happy we could be their Maui wedding coordinator and be a part of their love story!

Now these two are on the winding, scenic road of life together, ready for adventure, romance, and the joys of their partnership.

A Simple Celebration with a Maui Wedding Coordinator

Mickayla & AJ were drawn to a simple beach wedding — a minimalist event highlighting their romance and relaxed attitudes. We’re so happy we could be a part of it as their Maui wedding coordinator!

We helped them choose details that fit their style and spirit. A white, tropical bouquet for Mickayla and a matching boutonniere for AJ. Lei they could exchange during the ceremony. Photography that was timeless and joyful.

But we have to give AJ & Mickayla credit for bringing the beauty and happiness to this beach wedding in Maui! From their chic ensemble to their radiating smiles, they were dressed up from head to toe.

Though shining with outward beauty, it’s their souls that really sparkle. Their laughter and love were radiant, and it was an honor to be their Maui wedding coordinator.

Now it’s time for them to head back home as a married couple, but we know these Maui memories will live on with them forever — a glowing beginning to a life of many joys.

It was a beautiful, sunny day for our lovely couple Michelle and Kevin’s Maui beach wedding! They said their “I do’s” to the sound of the waves, surrounded by close family and friends. But first, their big day began with our beautiful bride getting ready in her stunning in her lace gown and her darling flower girls looking on! The couple’s Maui beach wedding ceremony was held on Ironwoods Beach against the captivating backdrop of waves crashing against the shore. Their little flower girls stole the show with their adoring smiles as they tossed petals in preparation for our brides’ big entrance. The lovely ceremony was intimate and quiet but no less full of love and elegance! Their guests coordinated in the striking all black and white attire that truly made our lovely couple shine!

The natural lighting only enhanced the beauty of their beach ceremony… the blues, creams, and whites were truly dreamy! Beachy romance perfection…

After their love was sealed with a kiss, we took a stroll along the cliffs for some breathtaking photos of our happy newlyweds! The sun had just begun to set and created an incredibly romantic atmosphere for their final portraits of the day. As we photographed them embracing the stunning sunset behind them, it was clear that the love they had for each other was truly beautiful and something to be treasured!

It was hard to believe that this special couple had actually met on a blind date set up by a mutual friend! After their first date, the rest was history…they are truly meant to be together! Oceanfront Celebration

Their intimate ceremony took place at the incredible venue, Merriman’s, in Kapalua, which is located right on the water’s edge. Our charming couple, who absolutely adore the surrounding area, couldn’t have chosen a better spot for their Maui venue wedding! The ocean views, blue skies, the salty breeze, and the stunning floral arch only added to the romantic charm of their special day….

Their beautiful photos came out so bright and vibrant since the ceremony was in the late morning when the lighting is a little harsher, but our sweet pair loved the bright sunshine and blue sky that is so characteristic of Hawaii!

After many hugs, kisses, and well wishes from their fun-loving families, our newlyweds walked onto the beach to take a few more intimate portraits with us. As they strolled hand-in-hand, it felt surreal to them to be celebrating their love in Maui! It was time to take their shoes off and let newlywed bliss begin!

Stephanie looks like a beach goddess with her long blonde tresses and flowing gown – simply stunning! Her handsome new husband Jeff’s blue suit picked up the gorgeous ocean blues of the tropical setting that hit every right style note in our book!

When our sweet couple began planning their nuptials, Katherine and Matthew knew they wanted a destination wedding but were looking for something more relaxing and tropical. Our happy pair were swept up in the moment’s beauty (Katherine, quite literally, by her new husband!) As the sun began to set, the sky lit up in vibrant shades of orange and pink, creating a breathtakingly romantic atmosphere that left everyone in awe. Although, the only thing that mattered to our happy newlyweds was being present with each other at that moment!

The juxtaposition of the sunset against the natural beauty of Polo Beach made for some truly stunning photographs that will serve as timeless reminders of this special day… Maui really put on a show for our happy newlyweds!

Our happy couple took a vacation together to Maui in August of 2021, and it was on this trip that Morgan proposed to Audrey! (We also had the honor to capture their proposal back in 2021!) The two of them have always loved being around the water and, in Morgan’s words, “If it doesn’t have a beach, it’s not a real vacation!” So, when they visited Maui, they immediately fell in love with the island’s way of life and knew they wanted a Maui destination wedding! Our beautiful pair, originally from Texas, knew they wanted to have a destination wedding when they began their initial planning. And a Maui one is even better! Their friends and family, naturally, were so excited to make the trip (vacation!) and be able to share their Maui destination wedding with them. And they were not disappointed!

Their gorgeous wedding took place at Merriman’s Kapalua, right by the water. This location is ideal if you want the best of both worlds – picturesque views by the water and ceremony seating! However, what was most eye-catching during their ceremony was the stunning driftwood arch with tropical blooms…

As you can see, many made the journey for their Maui destination wedding! There’s nothing quite like celebrating with those you love most on your big day…and what a colorful bunch too! The vibrant and tropical colors were so fun to photograph!

More Than A Dream Wedding

Their first newlywed’s portraits were breathtaking as the sun slowly dimmed on the horizon. Audrey’s glittery, embroidered gown sparkled in the sunlight! And Morgan’s floral suit was also eye-catching and refreshing! Who can say no to a floral suit!?

The day of the wedding was everything they had hoped for and more! The sun was shining, the water was crystal clear, and the views were breathtaking… Ariel and Edward exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony, surrounded by their three young children, who played a special part in their big day! It was a beautiful moment for everyone to see this family come together as one…

It was a joy to coordinate and photograph Elizabeth and David’s Maui beach wedding last week! Hawaii is a popular destination for weddings because of its natural beauty and unique culture. For a bit of history of our sweet couple, they met on a dating app back in 2018 to built a strong friendship from the beginning! They quickly became best friends and deleted the app within a few weeks. And they got engaged in December 2021 in the San Bernandino National Forest after going on a horseback ride! So romantic!

Our beautiful couple tied the knot at Maluaka Beach, known for its white sandy beaches and crystal clear waters, making it a perfect setting for a romantic ceremony!
