“We have always talked about it, and it has been our dream to make it happen,” Katie told our wedding coordinators before their Maui elopement! Katie and Bryan, a lovely couple from Washington State, have been together for 15 years, and they couldn’t think of a better place to make it official than a gorgeous beach on Maui! It was a simple celebration but no less full of love and joy. Their son, Turner 4, was their special guest of honor…he is their biggest blessing! They were so happy to share this moment with him. A Family Moment

What stood out most to us was how their Maui elopement was a loving family affair too. Their love has been and will continue to be the foundation for their family. Don’t they look beautiful?! The way they look at each other during their sacred vows says everything, more than words can express. Their beachy celebration was the best way they could think of to keep their special day just for themselves. Without the frills and fuss of a larger traditional wedding, Katie and Bryan’s Maui elopement was just for them in the dreamiest ways.

They tied the knot under the golden sun at Po’olenalena Beach. The sun made the sand glitter around them, enhancing the dreamy atmosphere. Their guests were beyond thrilled to make the trip to celebrate the happy pair finally getting married after all this time! Everyone enjoyed themselves, and Katie and Bryan even enjoyed a slice of cake right on the beach with the turquoise water glowing in the distance. We are excited to share beautiful moments from Elizabeth and Juan’s big day! It was an elegant and dreamy affair with friends and family gathered to celebrate their nuptials. Liz’s father always dreamt of walking his daughter down Hawaii’s beaches one day…and our wedding coordinators made that come true! (A grassy aisle in Hawaii is close enough!) Our happy pair met online and took their first trip as a couple together to Maui. “And it’s only gotten better since,” the happy pair exclaimed before their Maui venue wedding! Liz made a stunning entrance in her untraditional yet traditional white A-line gown at Gather in Kihei. Her father proudly walked her down the grassy aisle to meet her soon-to-be husband, waiting for her at the blooming floral bamboo arch. Both look exceptional, standing next to each other in their creamy attire! It was simple, sweet, elegant, and oh-so-romantic! Juan is from Peru, and while they hoped to have some celebrations there, they opted for both a Maui venue wedding and reception for all to attend. It turned out to be a glorious day!

Joyous Moment

With their hearts bursting with love and joy, our newlyweds made their way down to Southside Beach for a few moments alone to soak in the sunshine and bask in the moment. Liz changed from her heels and opted for a fun, flirty ankle wrap! So fun! The sunset casts a magical glow over the happy pair in these oceanside portraits that truly transports you to another time and place! They look so relaxed and carefree in these newlywed portraits…as if the rest of the world melted away and the only thing that matters was the moment…

Liz is originally from Wisconsin and works as a physical therapist. Similarly, after finishing medical school in Peru, Juan came to the US to continue his training and works as a pulmonary/critical care specialist. And fate had a hand in their meeting when he moved to Wisconsin to finish his training!

Can you imagine meeting the love of your life in middle school? Well our sweet couple Carly and Jordan can! They met back in middle school, and Carly actually asked him out, and he said no! But seven years later, he remembered Carly and messaged her on social media; the rest is history! Their inimate celebration was held at Gather, one of our favorite venues for a Maui wedding. The view, the privacy, and the grassy lawn make it such a beautiful location to tie the knot! And as you can see, Carly and Jordan opted for a stunning driftwood arch with tropical florals to serve as the altar under the swaying palm trees. Their Maui destination wedding had all the elements they were looking for – simplicity, elegance, rustic, with unique details.

Their intimate ceremony was full of emotion as they said their vows in front of those who mattered most to them. The way they look at each other says it all!

Cherishing This Moment

Carly was a vision in a frothy gown! The combination of pink and green flowers is so fresh! They both look so happy in these newlywed portraits! Jordan was smiling ear to ear and opted for a sharp beige three-piece suit. Both are still in college and have spent half of their relationship in the pandemic, so this marks a new chapter of their romance and the beginning of many new adventures together!

“We visited Maui 2 years ago and fell in love with the island, the beach, and the people,” Maria and Oscar gushed to our wedding coordinators before their Maui elopement! They absolutely love Hawaii, and it felt like the perfect place to tie the knot. Their sweet kids Summer and Julian joined in their parent’s celebration…it was an inimate family affair full of love and light, as you’ll see!

A Family Affair

Our beautiful couple exchanged their vows in the sunshine and ocean breeze with their kids by their side. They have been together for nearly 16 years, so this moment was a long time coming! But it couldn’t have been more gorgeous of a day. Hearing their words and witnessing their tender, loving glances reminded us why we love what we do!

We love how their sweet kids matched their parents from Maria’s flower crown and Oscar’s outfit! Their Maui elopement was just as much as the beginning of the next chapter of their love story as it was a special family moment. Maria and Oscar are beaming with love in these portraits! After they said their “I dos,” our photographer took the happy pair towards the rocky cliffs at Ironwoods Beach. With the turquoise waters in the distance, this was the perfect spot for their newlywed portraits with all the islands’ natural splendor surrounding them!

We can’t get enough of how stunning our happy couple looks on the rocks with the turquoise ocean at their feet. (Barefoot, of course!) From start to finish, we are so delighted that we captured all these unforgettable moments! “Maui is a place we have visited together, a place we think is absolutely magical and are always scheming about when we can visit. What better occasion than our wedding,” our lovely couple gushed to our wedding planners before their big day. The dream of a Maui venue wedding became a reality for Eric and Emily! It was a wonderful day, the best day ever if you asked these two love birds! Everything down to the very details was spectacular, as you’ll see in these highlights below!

First things first, our wedding photography coverage began with Emily getting ready. Love, nerves, excitement… all the natural feelings were there as she donned her stunning lace gown! And what an entrance she made…

Something Different – A Day In Paradise

Their tropical ceremony was everything you could dream of, from the ocean waves just nearby to the privacy of this gem of a venue. Olowalu Plantation House is an exceptional oceanfront location for a Maui venue wedding and has all the charm and a historic feel. The elegant bamboo altar with blush-colored blooms of ginger, anthuriums, and protea was a signature feature of their inimate ceremony…so lovely!

But before we get into all the pretty details, here is a little back story on how these two met! So, Eric and Emily met in 2013 when they were students at the University of Michigan. They were in the same club and quickly became friends! After graduation, Emily went off to PA school in North Carolina, and Eric stayed in Michigan to attend medical school at the University of Michigan. One football Saturday when Emily was visiting Michigan, she ran into Eric, and their love story began! 

All their friends and family were so happy to be there to celebrate these two! They were surrounded by so much love and joy throughout their big day. Emily wanted “something different” for their wedding and thought a Maui venue wedding would also give their friends and family a chance for a Hawaiian vacation too!

It wasn’t long before the fun started with their bridal party! These will be forever standout moments from their Maui venue wedding. We love this property because it has so many secluded spots for moments like this! From the tropical foliage, oceanfront lawn, and rock jetty, there are SO many gorgeous spots for both candid and traditional portraits alike! After all, newlyweds need a little privacy after their “I dos!” 😉

These dreamy portraits of the new Mr. and Mrs. Colomb are simply breathtaking! It was so endearing to see how playful and sweet they were together. They laughed, smiled ear to ear, and savored each priceless moment of the first moments of newlywed life. You can tell they are the best of friends!

The cloudy sky in the background accentuated Eric’s pink tie and blue suit, which perfectly matched Emily’s pastel bouquet, don’t you think? Tropical wedding style perfection!

Curtis and Christine’s Maui vow renewal was a celebration of love, laughter, and the beautiful journey they have shared. Let’s rewind back to where it all began – they met on Match, a modern-day love story that started with a simple click. After two years of dating, Curtis got down on one knee and proposed, and two more years later, they said their “I dos” surrounded by friends and family.

Their love story continued to unfold with the arrival of their daughter Abby, who is now 11 years old. It seems their love knew no bounds as they joyfully announced a surprise pregnancy just two short months after their wedding! Their love has only grown stronger in these past 12 years…

“I loved the idea of a destination wedding, and it gives our families the excuse to go on a vacation all together,” Jayme said before her Maui venue wedding! And what a beautiful day it was for everyone in attendance! They were so happy to be in Hawaii to celebrate with their families and start the next chapter of their romance. These two have a very sweet love story – let’s just say Grandpa knows best!

In 6th grade, he told Jayme that she would marry “this boy” that her Grandma was tutoring…she laughed it off and ignored it. But then fast forward to both of them in high school, where they met at a youth church camp and were smitten! She had visited Hawaii before but was excited to create new tropical memories with Corbin for the first time. Their beautiful celebration was lighthearted, full of love and joy…and a little touch of country too!

How fun are these portraits?! The tropical and country mix was so unique for their wedding party attire! They went for a “Coastal Cowboy theme” – so fun! We love it when our couples incorporate elements of their personalities and styles into their Maui venue wedding, like Jayme and Corbin! You can take the couple out of the countryside but not the country of the couple! Our beautiful bride looks so lovely in her lace gown with vibrant tropical blooms…Corbin looks very handsome and dapper with his hat to match her boots 🙂

Kelly and Jason’s Maui venue wedding was a truly special day for this amazing couple! As software engineers for different companies, they share a love for spending time with family. It was a beautiful and magical day and the island really showed off! They chose Maui for their destination wedding as it would give their family an excuse to visit the islands together. (We fully support that idea!) Our happy couple met through a mutual friend at a DnD night and got engaged at one of Kelly’s favorite plant nurseries. (She loves plants, so it was so thoughtful and sweet!) Fast forward to their incredible day in paradise when they finally became husband and wife…

The oceanfront ceremony at Merriman’s in Kapalua was absolutely beautiful! We loved how they incorporated all the tropical blooms into their special day, making it feel like a real island wedding. All of the bright blooms of their lovely day really popped against the blue sky and ocean…it was a whimsical and elegant touch to the natural splendor of their decor! The ocean breeze, sunshine, and vibrant blooms all added to the romantic atmosphere…

Kelly looks like a Hawaiian goddess in her radiant flower crown! Jason opted for a classic and fresh blue suit – love it!

After the ceremony, our happy newlyweds Leona and Artin couldn’t help but jump into the ocean, dress and all, to celebrate their love and excitement! It was their day, and their love story had come full circle since they got engaged on the island.

The bright sun shone, casting a warm glow over the happy pair. As the Maui elopement came to a wonderful end, the sky began to turn a beautiful shade of pink and orange. They drove off into the sunset, top down too! The sky was breathtaking, making the day feel even more special!

Our newlyweds can’t wait to see what the future holds for them, and they know that whatever comes their way, they’ll face it together! We love how sleek and elegant they look in their understated elegant wedding attire. The saltwater and sand only added to the romantic beachy look!

Who says old-school romance doesn’t exist? Not Lexi and Connor, who proved that true love can weather any storm. These two self-proclaimed “old souls” are all about communication, friendship, and investing in their future together. So when they decided to tie the knot with a Maui beach wedding, we knew it was going to be something special! Although they never thought of each other as more than friends in high school, Connor took a leap of faith and slid into Lexi’s DMs in 2018. After their first date, Lexi knew that he was the one for her, and they’ve been inseparable ever since. A high school romance always gets us teary-eyed!

Their sunset ceremony was breathtaking, with friends and family gathered around to witness their love and commitment to each other. Lexi and Connor’s words were heartfelt and sincere, and you could feel the love and connection between them…Connor made sure not to get a peek at his bride beforehand!

As Maui wedding planners, they were excited to finally bring their vision to life, and it was clear that every detail of their day was thoughtfully considered! From the elegant simplicity of their ceremony to the playfulness of their portraits, Lexi and Connor’s Maui beach wedding day perfectly reflected their personalities and love for each other.

Despite the challenges of the pandemic, Lexi and Connor grew even closer through quality time spent together at home. And now, they are looking forward to a bright future together with their dog Apple, filled with love, laughter, and endless possibilities!

High School Sweethearts

Who said you can’t find love in unexpected places? For Lexi and Connor, high school friends turned to soulmates, their love story is proof that sometimes you have to take a chance and see where it leads you.

We couldn’t be happier for these two! This was also their first time in Hawaii, so everything felt so surreal…
