Wendy and Tom’s Maui Beach Elopement was filled with sun, sun, and then sun! Ironwoods beach set the stage with dramatic rocky embankments and towering cliffs. Paired with the dreamy lighting and rustic beach setting, Wendy and Tom glowed with genuine love and sincerity. From deep gazes to bursts of laughter, there was no shortage of romance and joy on the shore during this Big Day! 

Our Couple’s Story

Wendy found Tom on Linkedin and noticed he was a trauma nurse, which she could relate to as a pediatric nurse practitioner. She did what any interested girl would have done, and looked him up on Instagram. A follow and message later, and the two were hitting it off like they’d known each other for years! But because they lived 3.5 hours apart, they got acquainted just over the phone. It wasn’t until Tom was packing his things for a 4-month travel assignment that Wendy finally drove down to meet him to wish him well. Pretty wise move because the rest of the story is right here on the blog! 

Maui Beach Elopement Location

Ironwoods Beach hugs the coast of Kapalua, a rustic jungle zone on the western side of the island. Featuring unusual rock formations and sheer cliff drops, Ironwoods is the perfect location for a Maui Beach Elopement that captures the wild side of Maui. 

What They Wore

Wendy wore a simple, strapless button-down with a shimmering fabric that flowed just the right amount in the winds of Ironwoods. She kept the accessories minimal with a pair of orchids to accent her beachy up-do. Tom sported black slacks with a battleship-gray vest and black and white contours to pull it all together. Stephanie and Juan’s Micro Wedding in Maui was flooded with sunshine and sunny smiles. The golden sands of Poʻolenalena gave way to a glistening aquamarine sea with the wild greenery swaying the backdrop. Engaged for two years, and tired of waiting out COVID restrictions, Stephanie and Juan said “I do” to Maui and brought their children with them for a wedding dreams are made of! 

The Micro Wedding in Maui Location

Hailing from Seattle, Stephanie and Juan dreamed of marrying somewhere warm and replacing the gray skies with vibrant hues of gold. Maui did not disappoint. Located on the southside, Poʻolenalena rarely sees rain and with a western facing shore, offers unparalleled sunsets. Just look at that lighting! Although a lot of that glow is a credit to our beautiful couple!

Our Couples Story

Stephanie and Juan’s marriage blends two amazing families together. Present with them on the shore, Stephanie’s three sons will join Juan and his daughter. It’s a happily ever after, and kind of makes us think about Disney stories. Although maybe after meeting this spectacular family, we have Disney on the mind. Stephanie and her sons LOVE all things Disney and even managed to convert Juan and Jessica, which was a wonderful thing, considering how Juan proposed…

How He Proposed

Juan had it all meticulously planned out, he would propose in front of the castle during their Disneyland trip. Unfortunately, the castle was under construction and covered with scaffolding and tarps. Juan was speechless. Okay, he wasn’t speechless. He just kept saying over and over again, “The castle is CLOSED?!” With his plans pulled out from under him, Juan waited patiently until the following day to pop the question in front of the fountain in the Disney California Adventure. And, of course, it was pouring rain. Yet the rain couldn’t have mattered less to Stephanie! She said yes! 

Following the ceremony, the family gathered in prayer and tossed rose petals into the ocean in honor and remembrance of loved ones lost. 

Looking at Stephanie and Juan’s Micro Wedding in Maui–the smiles, the love, the warmth–we feel pretty confident saying, “And they all lived happily ever after.”

This right here is what love is all about!! Love finds its way into our lives in many different forms. For Megan & Kat it found its way within each other! They had been friends for some time before they began their relationship. Their bond grew and blossomed and they have been inseparable ever since. We are so grateful that through their journey, they found their way to us for an intimate Maui elopement.

Megan & Kat have a fur baby named Macy they absolutely adore!! It’s hard when your little fur baby can’t be here on your wedding day, but we do offer photoshopping services to give you a pic with your baby!! It may not look like they were actually there on the beach with you but it is a fun way to include them in the picture!

We adore the way the tropical flowers add a pop of color to Megan and Kat’s all white wedding attire.

When asked Megan & Kat what they are most looking forward to about being married they immediately said “starting and raising a family together.” We are looking forward to that too! Agi & Jimmy are a sweet couple from Illinois that we had the pleasure of meeting last week! They decided on a Maui beach elopement after several other wedding plan options over the past year. They met on Match.com about 3 years ago and have been inseparable ever since. Their very first date was meeting up for drinks at a local bar. Many shared interests and dates later they decided to tie the knot! What an honor it is that they chose us to be a part of it!

Agi & Jimmy’s road to the wedding wasn’t ALL fun and games of course. I mean, we are in the middle of a pandemic! Just getting to Hawaii has its challenges. Once they got on island and started heading out to their hotel, they were halted in their tracks by the Olowalu brush fire. They ended up spending their first night on Maui sleeping in their car. Not exactly how they wanted to spend their first day of vacation. But good attitudes and a beautiful wedding to look forward to made it easier to bear. And hopefully, the hotel credited you for the first night! 😉

Just after their wedding ceremony, Jacob from Manutea Nui E offered a sweet serenade for Agi & Jimmy to dance to. What a special moment, first dance as husband and wife.

Shelby and William met the old fashion way at a bar in Seattle, where they both currently live. Shelby was celebrating a win with friends after a football game when William caught her eye. They hit it off right away and the rest is history. Today we celebrate their wedding in Maui!

When Shelby & William decided on a Maui vacation they did not share with their families that they would be also getting married. The true definition of a Maui elopement! They’ve been engaged for a few years now though so there may have been some suspicions amongst their crew. Anyhow, we love the element of surprise and surely their friends and family are excited to for them as they embark on this new adventure.

“You Are My Soulmate…” is the English translation of Eres Mi Alma Gemela! Olivia & Nick are just that, two souls that were meant to join as one and live the rest of their lives together! Before their Maui elopement, these two met 12 years ago in Spanish class and they have been inseparable ever since. They were partners then in Spanish class and they are partners now in Life! There will be no more cheating off Olivia’s Spanish tests, ok Nick?

Leading up to Their Elopement

This sweet pair waited anxiously for months leading up to their Maui Elopement, not just with excitement, but with nervousness! No one knew if Hawaii would open to visitors. Every inkling of hope was quickly washed away whenever the state government pushed back the opening date. It was heartbreaking for them and heartbreaking for us.

But at the very last minute, a glimmer of light…. Just 3 days before their Maui wedding, Hawaii’s Trans-Pacific Travel Program was launched. Olivia & Nick were able to test just before they came and with negative test results, able to skip quarantine and get hitched!! It worked out perfectly for Olivia & Nick and we are beyond excited to share how everything turned out.

The beach was extra busy on the day of their wedding, but it as if someone was saving the perfect spot for their ceremony in the corner, away from all the noise and people!

This Maui beach wedding was breezy and flooded with the Aloha spirit. A marriage is always a special union, but it’s particularly special when tying the knot also means tying together a family. With their children at their sides, Heather & Ryan said “I do” on the sands of Lahaina Shores, and their wonderful journey as husband and wife–and a blended family–began! What do you get when two families meet halfway around the world on the shores of the Magic Isle? A Maui destination wedding! Megan was born in Australia but moved to Canada when she was just ten-years-old… and there, she eventually met the love of her life, Tim!

These two met at a mutual friend’s party, and it didn’t take long for them to decide (together) to take their relationship to the next level. And it was this past February, in the lush rainforest of Queensland’s Lamington National Park, where they officially got engaged! They figured the best spot to say “I do” was where Megan’s parents often frequent, the Kihei Surf Side!

The day was bright and breezy, with hardly another soul on the emerald lawn, making for a quiet and intimate ceremony with just the bride and groom and their closest family.

When asked about their preferred photography style for their Maui destination wedding, our couple responded “Goofy and fun!” And we couldn’t have been more thrilled! We are ALL about capturing those big smiles and sealing that laughter in photos that will be cherished for a lifetime! We welcome fun and say, “Bring on the goofy!”

Andrea & Stephen’s Destination Wedding in Maui is going to be a huge surprise for all their friends back home in Australia, and imagine their faces when they see these incredibly gorgeous wedding photos! The 5 Palms in Wailea set the stage, and 19 members of their family watched on as Andrea & Stephen said: “I do.” One of those members was the sweet and bouncing baby Zac—the couple’s 9-month-old cherub!

Decked out in a bowtie and vest, Zac was full of things to say during the ceremony! We loved capturing his adorable face as he scrunched it up while babbling on about something very important that only he could understand. Although we’re fairly certain he must have been talking about how stunning Mom looks–just take a look!

Or maybe he was also trying to tell us all about how his parents met… Andrea & Stephen work next door to each other, and Andrea would pop into Stephen’s building daily for a quick coffee. Then one day they bumped into each other and fell head-over-heels in love!

This Hawaii venue wedding at Gannon’s in Wailea was a celebration to remember! No lad or las could have been happier than Donelle & Steven on this special day. Bright and vivid, the weather showcased the tropics at its finest, warmth punctuated by a sweet ocean breeze. And in addition to the tang of the sea, rolling through the air that morning was the melodic sound of the highlands… because no true Scottman’s wedding would be complete without the unmistakable legato of the bagpipes!

Our couple’s love story began in a modern way–over the internet! And now our Canadian bride and Scottish groom have brought along their closest family and traveled to the middle of the Pacific Ocean to say “I do” on one of the most beautiful islands in the world! Together for 17 years and framed by their 4 darling kids, Kristin & Andre recommitted to their union with a stress-free ceremony that put their love and their family at the forefront.

And considering how breezy and easygoing this entire crew was, it seems only fitting that the wind came out to say hello. The family was full of laughs and high spirits, and we were so impressed with how mature and insightful the kiddos are! Each young member even shared a few words during the renewal.
