Let’s rewind to Halloween—Jen was dressed as Cinderella at her orthodontic office (which, yes, she co-owns with her now-husband, John the periodontist). A man in a suit delivered a single glass slipper. Then a chauffeur showed up, announcing it was time to find her prince.

And then? Well, just a transformed home into a full-blown dreamland—white roses, chandeliers, butterflies, a literal red carpet, and John in a tux waiting to propose. How romantic!?

Talk about setting the mood! The beautiful bridal attire was provided by Maui’s Best bridal shop Elly’s Formal Wear, they have the best staff and a gorgeous selection of dresses and suits.

Not only is she drop-dead stunning (I mean, come on), but she’s also a total powerhouse—model, beauty queen, mom of four AND part of the magic-making team at Salon 253 Bride.

She did her own flawless makeup and had her beachy waves styled by none other than Adiel, the salon’s incredible founder.

Now, let’s talk about the vibe—because it’s good. Like, really good.

You might already know and love the Outrigger Kaʻanapali Beach Resort… even if you didn’t realize it. And get this: our officiant Charles Nahale wasn’t just all talk—he kept the crowd entertained with live music that made everything feel instantly joyful.

We got a little of everything that day—sunshine, soft rain, and yes, full-on rainbows.

Post-ceremony, we wandered through the lush, tropical grounds to snap portraits under towering palms and old growth trees.

And while we couldn’t follow the couple down to the beach (due to permit laws—we’re nothing if not rule-followers), they took a romantic stroll along the shoreline with pastel skies above them while our photographers stayed on the resort grounds with a zoom lens and captured the Kaanapali sunset vibe.

Ellie and Kyle’s Maui venue wedding was a tropical affair to the max! After seven years of shared adventures, from snowboarding to visiting breweries, their bond grew stronger with each new experience. Their journey began one fateful night when Kyle, fresh from Arizona, stumbled into a pool bar where Ellie was holding her own as a semi-pool shark. Their connection was instant, blossoming into a friendship and eventually a love that would bring them to the beautiful shores of Maui.

Ellie’s connection to Maui runs deep, having spent her childhood vacations there. With her mom’s spirit forever intertwined with the island, it was the perfect place for Ellie and Kyle to celebrate their union. Opting for a ceremony at Gather Maui, they surrounded themselves with tropical flowers, a vibrant flower circle, and even a playful pineapple centerpieces—elements that added a touch of whimsy to the already breathtaking setting.

As the family gathered around, the air was filled with love and joy. The couple exchanged vows in this stunning paradise, their surroundings amplifying the specialness of the moment. Ellie and Kylie went all out with their floral decor! We loved seeing local tropical blooms set the stage for their personal, heartfelt vows. Pineapple, roses, ginger, proteas — what’s not to love? It embodied Ellies love for Hawaii and the beautiful next chapter of their lives.

Post-ceremony, Ellie and Kyle wandered the grounds, capturing gorgeous portraits amidst the palm trees and panoramic views. The setting was nothing short of spectacular, a testament to the beauty of their relationship and the place they chose to start their married life. They took advantage of all of the idyllic spots on Gather’s grounds from the vibrant bougainvillea to the towering palms; every where you look are photo ops!

Our Beautiful Day

Their Maui venue wedding day was nothing short of spectacular. Brianna made a grand entrance in a breathtaking floral embroidered gown, embodying a unique blend of tradition with her own floral flair. Doesn’t she look incredible? The smile on Jacob’s face said it all—he was effortlessly cool, and together, they radiated happiness.

The venue, Rustic Hawaiian Ruins, with its incredible historic charm, set the perfect stage for their intimate ceremony. It was a day filled with laughter and joy as everyone gathered to celebrate Jacob and Brianna’s special bond.

Following the ceremony, the couple took their first portraits as newlyweds on the beach nearby! These photos, carefree and spirited, capture Brianna as a summery floral goddess beside Jacob’s calm demeanor. Their radiant smiles speak volumes of the love and happiness they share!

Did Elmer and Joan find the perfect location for their Maui venue wedding, or did the venue find them? Either way, it was a match made in tropical heaven! Elmer, the ever-busy electrician/rancher, and Joan, a dedicated stay-at-home mom to their two beautiful daughters, Arielle (10) and Natalie (4), have a full plate, to say the least. Between managing their 80-acre ranch—with 50 mama cows, a couple of horses, three dogs, and a dozen hens—they somehow found the time to plan a magical island wedding. And thanks to our incredible team of Maui wedding planners we made it happen!

Originally, they had set their sights on the Philippines, but when the pandemic hit and restrictions popped up, they quickly pivoted. Now here is where Maui into the picture—less busy, more a country lifestyle, and exactly the vibe they were looking for. The island already held a special place in their hearts, having visited once before, and this time, they would make it the setting for their big day. After 13 years together, including love at first sight (thanks, Elmer’s ice cream invite!), two kids, a home, and a life they built together, it was time to make it official!

Their day at Gather couldn’t have been more perfect. A stunning tropical arch framed their heartfelt vows, with friends and family cheering them on. The celebration continued on the lush lawn, laughter filling the air before they headed to Southside Beach. There, a breathtaking sunset was the cherry on top of an already perfect day!
