Nothing Short of Breathtaking ~ Lara & Joel’s Maui Elopement

Lara and Joel are such an amazing couple and we felt truly honored to be part of their special Maui Elopement! Our bride grew up coming here every Christmas with her family. And then when Lara and Joel came together last year, they knew they wanted to elope here 🙂 .

So while they would have loved to spend their wedding with family, a beach wedding in Maui just seemed like the perfect fit! And they are having a party at home next summer. They loved the lava rocks at Ironwoods and their ceremony photos were nothing short of breathtaking near the far left side of the beach! Big waves crashed in the nearby distance as they poured their hearts out to each other.

After a touching exchange of vows, it was time for wedding portraits that are seriously so beautiful! All in all, this truly was a day to remember and we love how intimate their Maui Elopement was! We cannot thank Lara and Joel enough for trusting us to help plan their special day. Congratulations and Warm Aloha!

A Celebration of Love ~ Paula & Damian’s Maui Beach Elopement

We have been so excited for this couple’s Maui Beach Elopement, and we’re not the only ones who were eagerly awaiting its arrival! Paula arrived with three lady guests, she was so nervous and Debbie (her brother-in-law’s wife) said aloud, “FINALLY!” I asked, “Why finally?” They all laughed and Paula replied, “We’ve been together for 20 years!” lol! So it’s definitely about time they got married.

Personal Details

Before heading to the beach, Paula added a personal touch to her bouquet. She attached a handkerchief her great grandmother made, a pink ribbon, and pin. It was beautiful and she absolutely loved her bouquet!

It was a warm afternoon and the waves were small making the crashing sounds nice and subtle during their ceremony. It was a beautiful Maui Beach Elopement! After saying “I do” and signing the marriage license it was time for a very special surprise.

A Special Surprise

Kimo gathered all the guests and asked do we have any married couples here? And two couples raised their hands. Then he asked, “Why don’t we renew your vows right here and now?” Everyone laughed and said yes without hesitation!

Kimo then continued by saying “We are gathered here today to celebrate the marriage of Paula and Damian. Because of their love for you, they’d like to honor your marriages by allowing you to reaffirm your love for one another on this joyous day and in this beautiful setting!”

John & Debbie and Kelly & Joe were super surprised! And it was funny because Damian’s niece and nephew were also in on the surprise and didn’t say a word. More tears were shed throughout the whole group during the vow renewal ceremonies!

A Day to Remember

Paula and Damian made this experience one to remember! And we are so glad we could be part of it. Thank you, both, for sharing such a special day with Simple Maui Wedding! We loved getting to celebrate with you and wish you all the best on the journey ahead. Congratulations and Warm Aloha!

A Scenic Setting ~ Jessica & David’s Maui Elopement

We met up with Jessica and David on a gorgeous morning for their Maui Elopement at Southside Beach. This is one of our most popular locations for ceremonies because of the wide variety of scenery. From a soft sandy beach, lava rocks, and a beautiful area of greenery this setting has it all!

Our bride primarily spoke Portuguese, which our groom knows how to speak because he wanted to understand his Jui Jitsu teacher better. Wow! He was so adorable translating for her the entire time 🙂 . These two really were just so sweet together all throughout their Maui Elopement! And we are so glad we could be part of their special day.

Reconnected Forever ~ Deanna & Sean’s Maui Beach Elopement

Deanna and Sean decided to have a Maui Beach Elopement because they love being around the water and wanted a sunset backdrop. And even though we got a late start due to a sudden downpour, the colors in the sky did not disappoint! Just see for yourself!

Their Story

One of our favorite parts of helping plan this couple’s Maui Beach Elopement was hearing the story of how they met and got together. This bride and groom actually went to high school together over 20 years ago! They had a class together and were lab partners but never dated. But thanks to Facebook they reconnected and started taking trips between Arizona & Michigan to be together! And then Sean proposed when they were packing up Deanna’s stuff in Michigan to go live with him in Arizona!

Nothing Better ~ Danielle & David’s Maui Elopement

After meeting at a pub 2 years ago and getting engaged 1 year ago in Cancun, this couple was so excited to say “I do” at a Maui Elopement! With no guests, Danielle and David’s ceremony at Maluaka Beach was an opportunity for these two to focus on only each other and their love. What could be better than that?!

All throughout the evening we couldn’t help but notice the way this bride and groom looked at each other. It’s easy to see that they make each other so happy and we are so glad they found each other! Happy Wife, Happy Life ~ Chelsea & David’s Ironwoods Beach Elopement

It was Chelsea’s idea to get married on Maui at an Ironwoods Beach Elopement, she’s always wanted to visit and David was all for the idea! He’s a “go-with-whatever-chels-says” kind of guy 🙂 . He even said himself, “Hey! Happy wife, happy life. Right?” lol.

First Look With Dad

Before the ceremony started, Chelsea’s dad and our groom took their places prior to our bride arriving. We positioned David in his ceremony spot and just a few steps by the beach entrance, we positioned Chelsea’s dad so he could have a first look moment with his daughter! When Chelsea arrived with her mom, she was so excited and extremely happy when we put the flower crown on! She felt beautiful and went straight into the first look with her dad. They were both emotional and tried to hold back tears because she said if she cried during the first look, then dad would cry, and her makeup would be destroyed.

They collected themselves, linked arms and Reverend Joe Miles blew the conch shell so David knew it was time to turn around and see his bride for the first time. It was a beautiful moment!! And one we know none of them will ever forget. They had a beautiful evening and it even rained for the first time during their stay. So they were happy to know rain is a sign of good luck!

Intimate yet Documented

Chelsea and David loved the idea of having an intimate elopement at Ironwoods Beach and then sharing amazing photos from our sister company and videos from their GoPro at their reception with all their family and friends. And we think this is a great idea because then you get the best of both worlds!

Overall this was truly a day to remember and we are so glad we could be part of it! Thank you, Chelsea and David, for sharing your special day with Simple Maui Wedding. We loved getting to know you both and wish you all the best on the journey ahead! Congratulations and Warm Aloha!

Inspiring Love Story ~ Tara & John’s Maui Beach Elopement

When Tara and John arrived for their Maui Beach Elopement, it was obvious how in love they are! There’s no doubt they’re “meant to be”. Just wait until you hear the story of how they met, it’s seriously so good!

At First Sight

Tara and John met in North Carolina at Happy Hour. John was on a business trip and never drinks but for some reason was pulled towards going to this bar. And when he saw Tara and that was it! Tara was actually filming on a T.V. show called Married at First Sight. So in the first few weeks of the show, John had to watch it!! And lucky for our groom, despite being a show favorite Tara left the show single and knew she wanted to be with John. The rest is history 🙂 .

Sweet Ceremony

We are so glad these two found each other and are so inspired by their love! Their ceremony could not have been sweeter! John typed out what looked like 4 pages of vows and bawled the entire time he was reading them, it was truly adorable. And even made our bride tear up!

Bring on the Clouds ~ Melissa & Thomas’ Sunset Maui Elopement

Melissa and Thomas embarked on a 15-hour adventure plane ride from Massachusetts for the Sunset Maui Elopement of a lifetime! And we are so honored we could be part of their special day 🙂 . We were greeted with beautiful soft sunset lighting that made our bride’s dress glow during the entire wedding and photos afterward! Just see for yourself.

Thomas admitted that he was worried there wouldn’t be much of a sunset because of the clouds but we always say “bring the clouds on”! That’s when we get the most beautiful sunsets sometimes! And Maui did not disappoint them with a gorgeous winter sunset that was just on fire. Seriously tho, it even blew us away!

Plus these newlyweds nailed all of their shots, laughs and intimate moments and were just a breeze to work with for their Sunset Maui Elopement. So thank you, Melissa and Thomas, for sharing such a beautiful evening with Simple Maui Wedding! We loved getting to know you both and wish you a lifetime of happiness as husband and wife. We are so glad this couple decided to have a Hawaii Elopement and are honored they trusted us to help them plan their wedding in paradise! Southside Beach is one of our favorite spots for a wedding by the ocean because of the amazing lighting, scenery, and private setting!

It’s easy to see this bride and groom had a blast at their Hawaii Elopement! Better than a Courthouse – Tiffany & Danny’s Maui Elopement

We couldn’t have dreamed of a better morning for Tiffany & Danny’s Maui elopement. The ocean was clear and calm, and there was barely a cloud in the sky! Our favorite part was the bride & groom. They were so happy and in love – what a joyful Maui elopement!

Why Tiffany & Danny Decided on a Maui Elopement

Tiffany & Danny always knew they wanted to honeymoon in Maui. Their original plan was to have a courthouse wedding in San Fransisco followed by a lunch with family.

As they began to plan their honeymoon they came across Simple Maui Wedding and realized that they could have a Maui elopement for less than their courthouse wedding at home. We love to hear that we are a budget-friendly option for young couples ready to start their life together!

Tiffany & Danny are such a sweet couple with a bright future ahead of them! We send them lots of love as they return home to California (and their two cute dogs!). We hope you get to come to Maui again soon!!

A Simple Ceremony ~ Eileen & Mike’s Maui Elopement

Eileen and Mike decided to have a Maui Elopement because her son is getting married with a big wedding in May back home in Texas. So they wanted to keep their ceremony simple, making us the perfect fit for their wedding planner! And while her son couldn’t make it, because he’s in college he was there in love and in spirit and gave Mike his blessing to marry his mom 🙂 .

This was Eileen and Mike’s first time to Maui, but we’re confident it won’t be their last! After meeting online 2 years ago, these two were so excited to say “I do” in paradise. And we are so glad we could be part of their Maui Elopement!
