Malaya & Jarquece are first-timers to Hawaii and we can’t think of a better time to visit than for their Maui Wedding! It was a perfect afternoon for sharing nuptials along the shores of the Pacific Ocean. The sun was shining, the breeze was light, and their close family and friends were in attendance to share in the moment with them! It was so important to them to give their families a different experience for their wedding and bringing them to Maui was just that!

Malaya & Jarquece are high school sweethearts. They knew each other for a few years and became close friends before they actually started dating. It became clear to Jarquece that he wanted Malaya to be his princess forever. He proposed to her back in 2018 on a trip to Miami for her birthday. These two seem to enjoy the warmer, tropical weather, and we’re so glad they decided on Maui for their wedding.
This gorgeous couple chose 5 Palms, which sits right in front of Keawekapu Beach. It’s really the best of both worlds because you can enjoy an intimate ceremony with your close family and friends, then walk right out to the beach for pictures. We really enjoyed spending time with them and getting to know their sweet family! We hope you enjoy the pictures of their special wedding day.

Malaya looked absolutely stunning and she took Jarquece’s breath away as she walked down the aisle to him. Jarquece was looking pretty dapper himself in his maroon suit, Louis Vuitton belt, and white sneakers! Loving the unique style here!!

This Maui sunset was one for the record books on Malaya & Jarquece’s Maui wedding day. The purples and oranges painted across the sky created an epic backdrop for their couple’s portraits.

Mahalo Malaya & Jarquece for choosing Simple Maui Wedding! You were such a pleasure to work with and we wish the very best for you two!!

Amanda & Eric had different wedding plans before Covid got in the way, but they made the most of it by eloping in beautiful Maui! They wore their traditional wedding outfits to their Maui beach elopement, looking classy and sheik. We just love their timeless style!
This beautiful couple was married on the shores of Ironwoods Beach, just the two of them. They still managed to share their special day with many friends and family near and far through a special video. Amanda & Eric chose a videography upgrade that allowed their ceremony to be uploaded for their family to watch within just a couple of hours. Although times prevent us from being with our loved ones, technology helps us find a way to share in those moments still.

Amanda was apprehensive about letting her train down at the beach, but we’re so glad she did because the affect of the train in the wind was absolutely beautiful.

These cliffside wedding photos were breathtaking and they captured the most beautiful sunset filled with pastel hues.

For dinner this sweet pair whisked each other off to Merriman’s. We’re sure their day was special from start to finish and were so happy they chose us to be a part of it!

“You Are My Soulmate…” is the English translation of Eres Mi Alma Gemela! Olivia & Nick are just that, two souls that were meant to join as one and live the rest of their lives together! Before their Maui elopement, these two met 12 years ago in Spanish class and they have been inseparable ever since. They were partners then in Spanish class and they are partners now in Life! There will be no more cheating off Olivia’s Spanish tests, ok Nick?
This sweet pair waited anxiously for months leading up to their Maui Elopement, not just with excitement, but with nervousness! No one knew if Hawaii would open to visitors. Every inkling of hope was quickly washed away whenever the state government pushed back the opening date. It was heartbreaking for them and heartbreaking for us.
But at the very last minute, a glimmer of light…. Just 3 days before their Maui wedding, Hawaii’s Trans-Pacific Travel Program was launched. Olivia & Nick were able to test just before they came and with negative test results, able to skip quarantine and get hitched!! It worked out perfectly for Olivia & Nick and we are beyond excited to share how everything turned out.

The beach was extra busy on the day of their wedding, but it as if someone was saving the perfect spot for their ceremony in the corner, away from all the noise and people!

Thank you so much Olivia & Nick for choosing Simple Maui Wedding to coordinate your Maui elopement! You were an absolute pleasure to work with and we’re so honored to have met you! We can’t wait for you to return next year for your 1 year Anniversary!!

The anticipation was truly felt by all of us for Tricia & Billy’s Beach Wedding in Maui. They waited a lifetime for each other, and we waited 5 months since our last wedding! It’s been rough not having weddings in our life every single day. We’ve been looking forward to this gorgeous ceremony just as much as Tricia & Billy!
Tricia & Billy met 3 years ago when she decided to swipe Right on Tinder. Billy thought it was his dashing good looks but it was actually all because of his name. See, Tricia’s dog was named Billy, and as all dog owners know, they are one of the most special beings in your life. She felt it was meant to be!

It was a beautiful afternoon at Southside Beach. The warm sun with a light breeze offered the perfect setting for these two to share their vows with one another. Although they had planned for many family and friends (and their dogs) to be there on their wedding day, things didn’t work out quite as planned.
Quarantine orders for the guests coming from the mainland made it nearly impossible for loved ones to attend. Instead, this resilient couple brought Live Maui Webcasts along to film it for everyone watching from their homes in the mainland. This awful pandemic may have put up hurdles in our lives but Tricia & Billy weren’t going to let it get in the way of their love. In fact, it’s stronger than ever now as they embark on this new chapter as husband and wife.

Billy restored his blue Bronco all himself! It was the perfect prop for their wedding pictures. Billy planned a fun “honeymoon weekend” adventuring around West Maui in the Bronco before heading back to work on Monday.

If you’re looking for a special place for your destination wedding in Maui that highlights all of the beauty of the tropics, then look no further than Maluaka Beach! This Maui gem features a long stretch of golden sand and beautiful views.
We’ve got a lot of helpful info about a Maluaka Beach wedding, including how to get there, where to park, and where to dine afterwards. We’ll also outline the different options for a wedding here, since you’ll be able to choose from different times of day and different sides of the beach. Follow along and we’ll detail out what makes this spot truly spectacular for a Destination wedding in Maui!

We’ve hand-selected this beach for destination weddings in Maui because of its epic waters and beautiful greenery. Maluaka Beach is a long, narrow beach with two unique sides – each with an abundance of backdrops and each with its own parking lot!
The north side of Maluaka Beach is overflowing with leggy trees, lava rocks, and a great view of the ocean! This is the right-hand side of the beach if you’re looking toward the ocean.
The north side of the beach features a grassy lawn and rocky embankments. If you look to your right, you’ll see the West Maui Mountains, and to the left is a grassy hillside and views of Molokini Crater and Kaho‘olawe.

If you select the northern side of Maluaka Beach, you’ll park on the street or in the small lot near Keawala`i church. After parking, it’s just a 2-3 minute walk to the beach. There is also a pullover where you can get dropped off right by the beach. This makes it an ideal choice if anyone in your group has mobility difficulties.
The North end of the beach is best for smaller groups of about 10 or less, as the tide can make the area pretty narrow.
The South end of Maluaka beach is the left-hand side as you look toward the ocean. It can be busier but is also more spacious, so it works well for a larger group. It has similar features to the Northern end of the beach. If you look to the right you’ll see a broader view of Maui, and to the left you’ll see an outcropping of dramatic lava rock with Molokini Crater peaking around the corner.

The southern end of Maluaka Beach has designated beach parking lot. From there, you’ll follow a sidewalk that leads to the sand.

Maluaka Beach is in the Makena area of Maui. Beaches in this prime locale are often graced with clear skies and great lighting for photos!
There is plenty of parking on either side of the beach. You can access either end from either parking lot, but it’s easiest to park closer to where you’ll have the ceremony.
Maluaka Beach is a great choice for either a morning or sunset destination wedding in Maui!
We begin our morning ceremonies at Maluaka Beach around 8:30 AM, before it gets too hot and busy. Typically a morning wedding here has calm blue waters, clear skies, and great visibility.
The beach is fairly quiet in the morning with just a few adventurers out accessing the beach for snorkeling. We also sometimes get very welcomed wedding crashers – sea turtles peaking out of the ocean!

Sunset weddings at Maluaka Beach have a dreamy look, since the sun is shining on you from across the ocean. The exact look of the sunset varies day to day. We sometimes see a romantic golden glow, dreamy pastels, a vibrant flaming sunset, or gentle blue-gray skies.
There will be a few more people around for a sunset wedding, but we can typically find our own little spot to enjoy the ceremony.

Whether you elope with no guests, or have a group of up to 30, you’ll probably want to choose a nice place to dine after your Maluaka Beach wedding.
This location is only 5-15 minutes away from some of the top restaurants on Maui, most of which offer a romantic setting and group dining options. You’ll want to consider any of the Wailea restaurants or resorts for a reception to keep from driving too far between locations.
We’ll be happy to recommend some great restaurant ideas for your reception, depending on your exact vision and ceremony plans for your destination wedding in Maui!

Kanaha Beach Park is a Maui gem that is sure to fill you with the Aloha Spirit! It’s our most overlooked Maui beach wedding location, but with its unique features and benefits, Kanaha Beach could easily be the best fit for your Maui wedding.
Our company’s founder, Karma Hill, considers Kanaha Beach one of the top sandy shores on the island! So there’s sure to be something extra special about it! With deeply hued waters paired against the greenery of the West Maui Mountains, your wedding photos will showcase a unique side of Maui that not many visitors have the luxury of seeing.
Kanaha Beach is located minutes from the Kahului Airport and roughly 45 minutes away from the island’s popular resort areas. Its distance from the top hotels keeps many beachgoers and weddings away. That’s also what makes it such a great choice for a beach wedding, though. We’ve never seen multiple weddings at this beach like we have at our other Maui beach wedding locations. And on weekdays it’s easy to find a spot away from anyone relaxing or exercising on the beach!

Kanaha Beach features a variety of backdrops and areas to explore! Located on the coastal line of Kahului, this location is a rare gem in the busy(ish) Maui city.
There’s plenty of parking at this Maui beach wedding location. Our wedding coordinator will meet you in the parking lot and guide you through the trees to the best spots for capturing your special memories. Morning hours here are vivid and blue, while sunsets tend to be a bit more subdued.

At this Maui beach wedding location, the sun sets behind the West Maui Mountains, but sunsets here still offer dreamy and magical skies.

Maui beach wedding locations don’t get much better than Lahaina Shores. This Maui gem is right in the heart of Lahaina Town and sits in front of the beautifully designed 505 Front Street. Follow along and we’ll review why Lahaina Shores is on our list of the all-time best beaches for weddings!

Lahaina Shores is one of our favorite Maui wedding locations because of its convenience, consistent weather and dynamic sunsets. It’s close to the resort areas of Lahaina, Kaanapali and Kapalua and many restaurants on Lahaina’s famed front street. This location has a lot to offer!
Lahaina Shores is located in Lahaina Town on the West side of Maui.
If you’re a nautical-lover at heart, then Lahaina Shores is the perfect Maui wedding location. Because of its close proximity to Lahaina Harbor, this sweet little beach is often dotted with sailboats drifting on the horizon.
Pacific’o restaurant and The Feast at Lele front this beach, offering great reception options just steps from your ceremony!
Lahaina Shores Beach Resort and Condos are also right next to the beach, so you could stay, get married and have a wonderful reception dinner all within a few steps of each other!
The weather at Lahaina Shores Beach is extremely consistent, it rarely rains and the winds usually stay light. It’s also a great back up location for other beaches with more volatile weather like Ironwoods.

There is a limited amount of parking on the street and in the public lot at Lahaina Shores Beach. But there is also a paid parking lot across from the beach that always has plenty of spaces, so you don’t have to worry about there not being enough spots for you and your guests.
You’ll meet your onsite coordinator at the front of the 505 Front Street shops. It’s an easy meet-up spot for guests who may be driving over separately as well.
If the tide is low enough, we’ll have the ceremony closer to the Lahaina Shores Beach Resort, where we can avoid the noise of the surf school and restaurants. Otherwise we’ll pick a spot closer to the shopping center that has enough space for your group to gather and for your photographer to capture the ceremony.
After the ceremony, we love to take the newlyweds all around the beach and surrounding park for fun and romantic portraits!

And of course, as a westward-facing beach, you just can’t beat the vivid sunsets at this Maui wedding location!

Po’olenalena Beach is a gorgeous place to elope in Maui that you have to see to believe. With glistening golden sand and vivid aquamarine waters, this beach has everything tropical dreams are made of! Keep reading for all the details on what makes Po’olenalena truly spectacular.
With lava rock embankments and leggy palms, there’s a backdrop for every vibe and mood. Situated on the south side, this shore rarely sees a rainy day, although it’s been known to have a rainbow… or two!

This gorgeous shore to elope in Maui is located in the heart of Wailea, just down the road from Gannon’s restaurant. With two unique sides to the shore, there’s sure to be a backdrop that’s perfect for you!
There’s plenty of parking in the unpaved parking lot. You can easily find the lot by taking a right turn off Makena Drive. Our coordinator will meet you near the lot and guide you to the spots that will best showcase the vibe you’re going for. There’s plenty of variety at this location to elope in Maui, so let us know what you’re looking for and we’ll seek out perfect photo opportunities.

Po’olenalnea Beach is such a sweet setting to elope in Maui, but it can easily accommodate up to 30 guests thanks to its ample parking and spaciousness. Your guests will appreciate how close it is to Wailea & Kihei, but it’s less crowded than some of the beaches right in front of the resorts!
Afterwards it’s an easy drive to a Wailea restaurant to celebrate with your group after your seaside nuptials!

With gorgeous sunsets and vividly blue mornings, Po’olenalena is a Maui treasure! To see more of this gorgeous location to elope in Maui, click here. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact us!

Sometimes Love is jubilant, a dancing laugh made of sunlight and whispered wishes. Other times, Love is quiet, a solid rock to hold onto as you drift in the sea, a warm hand to grasp when yours are cold.
Whitney & Oscar’s Maui wedding was nothing how they’d envisioned getting married in paradise would be like… With the coronavirus encroaching into the country, half of their guests needed to stay home, including Whitney’s Matron of Honor and Oscar’s family and parents. Then their rehearsal dinner was canceled… and then came the rain. But our bride and groom were gracious throughout it all, smiling and taking in every moment of their Special Day.
With their kindness and sweet moments of thankfulness, Whitney & Oscar showed us all that even in times like these, Love wins.

Emily, our onsite coordinator reflected on the day, saying: “The sun never came out to shine on their wedding, but there was something even brighter shining on them – their love for each other, the love from their family, and the blessings they received for their marriage.”

During this cloud, there’s been a silver lining: all over the world, people are showing kindness, people are coming together to protect their neighbors and their communities. And although Karma Hill Photography had offered a couple’s portrait session once the weather cleared up, our bride and groom cared more about the health and safety of the crew than capturing their dream photo… all they wanted was for the photographer to stay home, to stay safe, and to stay healthy.
Whitney & Oscar may not have had the sun-filled Maui wedding they’d always dreamed of… but looking over these images, it’s clear that their wedding was the unforeseen but beautiful beginning of a dream marriage, a marriage rooted in truth and unconditional love.

As our bride puts it: “Of course it wasn’t the perfect day you dream of, but we made do with what we had, and it was wonderful. I am proud to be Mrs. Gutierrez, and these events have shown me just what a strong, incredible man I have…”

Mahalo nui loa, Whitney & Oscar, for sharing your incredibly lovely ceremony with us. We hope you return to capture your anniversary portraits underneath the Maui sun… But until then, we send you our fondest Aloha and wish you only the best in the years ahead…

At Simple Maui Wedding, we exclusively hire Karma Hill Photography for all of our gorgeous wedding captures. For Sunny & Aaron’s beautiful wedding at the 5 Palms, Cheynice, one of their talented photographers, summed up the occasion so perfectly, that we thought we’d let her tell the story of this incredible ceremony:
“When I arrived at Sunny’s condo, she was hard at work perfecting her makeup, almost overwhelmed. We were all so glad she took her time with her makeup because she looked absolutely stunning when she was all done! She even cried as she was putting on her dress because she was so emotional that her makeup was perfect and everything was finally coming together. As her dress was buttoned up, she added the pearl necklace her mother-in-law let her borrow. It was such a classy touch to her beauty.”

“It was drizzling just before Reverend Richardo’s conch blew, but when Sunny arrived, the rain stopped moments before she made her entrance.”

“Everyone loved Richardo’s ceremony. He had the couple and all of the guests laughing and smiling throughout, which was just what the couple wanted.”

“After the ceremony, we gathered for photos on the beach of the 5 Palms. Keawekapu is where they love to hang out as a family together, so it’s become a sentimental beach for them all.”

“As the final minutes of the sunset came to a close, Sunny and Aaron experienced the most vibrant colors for their sunset! Sunny was saying ‘It’s almost comical to have such a perfect sunset!’ It was true since the whole day they had overcast skies leading up to those very last moments.”

“Overall it was a very beautiful day and Sunny and Aaron were left as happy as ever.”

What do you get when two families meet halfway around the world on the shores of the Magic Isle? A Maui destination wedding! Megan was born in Australia but moved to Canada when she was just ten-years-old… and there, she eventually met the love of her life, Tim!
These two met at a mutual friend’s party, and it didn’t take long for them to decide (together) to take their relationship to the next level. And it was this past February, in the lush rainforest of Queensland’s Lamington National Park, where they officially got engaged! They figured the best spot to say “I do” was where Megan’s parents often frequent, the Kihei Surf Side!

The day was bright and breezy, with hardly another soul on the emerald lawn, making for a quiet and intimate ceremony with just the bride and groom and their closest family.

When asked about their preferred photography style for their Maui destination wedding, our couple responded “Goofy and fun!” And we couldn’t have been more thrilled! We are ALL about capturing those big smiles and sealing that laughter in photos that will be cherished for a lifetime! We welcome fun and say, “Bring on the goofy!”
And trust us, there are plenty more smiles to come… Keep scrolling!

Following the ceremony, we swept our couple away to the white sands of Southside beach for extra fun and goofy couples portraits…
…That is, when “goofy” is an acronym for “G.orgeous O.utback (woman) on the O.ceanside F.lirting… Y.AAAAAAS!” Check out all the sweet moments!

Congratulations, Megan & Tim! Thank you for trusting us to coordinate your Maui destination wedding. We had a wonderful time, and we wish you all the happiness and fun in the future ahead…

Marian & Timothy’s Beach Wedding in Maui was a lovely example of how an overcast day can turn into one of the most beautiful sunsets. The lighting was soft and dreamy, and the ocean gently hummed. Although they were surprised at how many loved ones were able to fly out to support them, it makes perfect sense to us… everyone wants to cheer on this awesome couple!!
Marian & Timothy decided to say “I do” on Maui because they loved the idea of wrapping a getaway and a wedding into one spectacular package of Aloha! And the scenery at Maluaka Beach did not disappoint. Golden sands, steel gray waters, and a rocky embankment framed with greenery, there was no shortage of gorgeous scenic backdrops!

Reverend Kimo officiated the ceremony, opening the event with the deep, trumpeting sound of the conch shell. As Marian made her way to her waiting groom, she was nothing but luminous in a couture gown designed by a talented friend.

This tender moment says it all… a look shared between friends and partners, both deeply and truly in love…

Following the “I do,” our couple had their first dance right there on the oceanfront. We can’t get enough of how beautiful Marian is! Her gown perfectly embodies the churning white water, and Timothy’s aquamarine slacks add just the right “pop” against the backdrop.

Beauty incarnate? … Most definitely!!

As the day came to a close, the sun lit up the sky in a brilliant golden light, perfectly mirroring this couple’s luminous love…
