William intended on proposing to Joanna during their third anniversary trip to Maui. When the plans fell through, they spent their anniversary on Hornby Island, the Hawaii of the North. As they planned to tie the knot, they couldn’t imagine not having a Maui beach elopement!

The Maui Beach Elopement

Maluaka was the ideal spot for this intimate bohemian wedding. In these portraits shot by Karma Hill Photography, you can see how this exquisite place created a flawless backdrop. The shores of this South Maui beach were calm so this lovely couple had plenty of space for their ceremony. It was hot but not too windy — the perfect weather for the occasion! 

You would think this beach is a fantasy because of how romantic it is! How the foamy aquamarine water washes onto the sandy shore and the whimsical greenery surrounding the shore is breathtaking. Above all, we love how the bright sun is shining on our beautiful couple! Although they are glowing on their own, the golden glimmer from the sun enhances it. Now, you can vividly see the happiness radiating from inside them!

Our Couple’s Story

Joanna and William’s story first began when they met in 2017 on a popular dating app. When they met in person, they instantly felt a connection with one another! One year later, they moved in together. In 2020, they were supposed to visit Maui where William would propose but those plans changed for them. Instead, they got engaged under an enchanting sunset on Hornby Island! For them, having a Maui beach elopement felt like everything was coming full circle in their love story.

Currently, Joanna is a psychotherapist, and William is a criminal defense lawyer. Although they don’t have any children, they are ecstatic to be getting a French Bulldog puppy soon. You can find them cooking, spending time with people they love, and appreciating art and culture in their spare time. Since they live in Vancouver, Canada near the beach and mountains, they always make time to be outdoors! In the future, they hope to start a family of their own.

The Maui Beach Wedding

Ryan and Ana wanted a simple, sweet, and elegant wedding, and they chose the perfect location for this! Ironwoods beach created a fairytale stage with the ivory sand, sapphire blue water, and striking rocky cliffs around the shore. Above all, our favorite thing is how ecstatic our lovely couple looks in every picture. They are shining just as much as the vibrant sun behind them!

Our Couple’s Story

Ana and Ryan first met when they were visiting Las Vegas, Nevada with their family and friends. A few years later, the two of them got engaged in July 2021 at Crystal Cove in California when Ryan popped the question! Currently, Ryan works as a general contractor in Vancouver, Canada, and Ana is a paralegal in Orange County, California. You can find this couple trying new foods, playing tennis, and going to the beach in their free time.

Since this island is where they realized their love for each other, they decided to have a beach wedding in Maui! As they start this new chapter in their lives, they are excited to one day start a family of their own.

There’s no bigger delightful shock than when it hits you that you’ve finally married your soulmate! If Ana’s ecstatic expression isn’t enough, she is also sparkling with joy here that she just married Ryan! You can see the happiness radiating through them in every shot. Last week, Amanda and Zac were married with a sweet Maui beach elopement on the shore of Lahaina Sands. With boats on the horizon and just a handful of close family cheering them on, this was a lovely ceremony that will be remembered forever.

Amanda and Zac found out they’re expecting twins in February and felt a Maui beach elopement was the perfect way to tie the knot. With their wedding, Zac is gaining not only a beautiful wife but also a beautiful step-daughter who was clapping her little toddler hands as they said “I do”! What a happy moment!

Amanda and Zac were introduced together by Amanda’s dad. He met Zac while he was looking to purchase a new home, and felt Amanda and Zac would be perfect together. The two exchanged contact info and hit it off immediately. After a long-distance relationship proved that they were meant to be, Zac proposed on Valentine’s day and they took the first steps to becoming husband and wife. It was a stunning day for Christie and Duane’s beach wedding in Hawaii. With a few loved ones in attendance and the salty ocean breeze on their cheeks, this was a sweet and tropical ceremony. We were thrilled to be a part of their special day.

We are obsessed with Christie and Duane’s color palette. Soft creams and pops of coral pink brought a tropical and contemporary touch to the dreamy shore of Polo Beach. Wearing a princess-cut gown in full lace applique and orchid hair accents to match her bouquet, Christie is absolutely beautiful. And Duane’s wardrobe is a show-stealer! But the sweet looks and glances shared between Christie and Duane were the highlight of the ceremony.

Olivia and Roshan both love the island, and they’ve been vacationing here since before they even met. So of course, it was the perfect place to have their Maui destination wedding. The evening was clear and breezy, and our couple was more than ready to say “I do.” 

The Maui Destination Wedding

Roshan had planned to propose in Maui last year, but with COVID, he rearranged his plans and they had a Maui destination wedding instead. Gannon’s grassy knoll served as the outdoor venue, featuring an expansive view of the south side and lush island greenery. But the most spectacular view had to be our couple’s sweet expressions. We are all about their smiles! 

Our Couple’s Story

Olivia and Roshan met at work. He thought he was simply training a new nursing grad, little did he know she’d turn out to be the love of his life! Like any good love story, at first, these two did not get along. But once they opened up and got to know each other, they knew there was something special. It took just one date for Olivia and Roshan to realize they’d found the one. 

When COVID canceled Roshan’s big plans for a Hawaii proposal, he got to work on another plan. Olivia and Roshan had recently bought their dream house, and while she was working on Thanksgiving day, Roshan set up a beautiful display in their favorite room.

With five pounds of rose petals, he created a dream proposal, and, of course, Olivia said yes! On top of gaining a husband, Olivia also gained a daughter! Emily and Sina’s beautiful Maui beach wedding was like a drop of sunshine, bright, warm, and kept making us smile. With a gorgeous tropical backdrop and a handful of loved ones watching on, this beautiful ceremony had everything island dreams are made of. 

The Maui Beach Wedding

We planned to have Emily and Sina’s Maui beach wedding on the shore of Southside, but with the threat of rain, we ended up moving the ceremony to Maluaka Beach. And it turned out to be a perfect choice! We can’t always shift the location, but we were able to get to the edge of the cloud line, which resulted in a slightly overcast ceremony and a sunset that was poppin’! Our Couple’s Story

Our bride had the sweetest story, that we just had to share on our blog! From our bride: 

“We met the age-old way – the internet! We actually matched on Coffee meets bagel. We talked for a few days and then met for our first date at a local bar/restaurant called Sovereign. 

“Proposal: we had an unseasonably warm day in Northern Virginia. We decided to go into DC to Georgetown and walk around. We went to take pictures in front of the place of our first date. That is when Sina gave the most heartwarming speech and dropped to his knee. I didn’t even say yes – I just said of course!” How cute is that?! The rest of their story is right here on our blog!

Jessica and Mason’s beach wedding in Hawaii was filled with love and plenty of sunshine. This amazing couple flew in from Oregon with a handful of friends and family to celebrate their love with a ceremony in paradise. It was a spectacular day fit for a spectacular love!

Jessica and Mason’s sons were adorable as they played a part in the ceremony. Their oldest is nine years old and the cutest ring bearer on the planet! Wearing a lace gown with a classic cut and silhouette, Jessica was a vision on the shore. We loved how her Anuenue bouquet added the perfect pop of color to the ceremony and matched her mother’s gown.

Tender vows followed the lei exchange, and our couple was soon declared married!

Last week, Tori and Thomas took their relationship from best friends, to married best friends with a venue wedding in Maui. Loved ones were there to help them celebrate, and the sweeping backdrops made this a wedding fit for the storybooks!

Tori and Tom met at a Halloween party. Tori was dressed up as a Pulp Fiction character and no one recognized who she was… except for Tom! From that moment on, their friendship blossomed. It was a stunning morning for Melanie and Brenden’s Maui beach elopement on the sands of Lahaina Shores. With boats speckling the horizon and a couple deeply in love, this was nothing short of a once-in-a-lifetime celebration!

Melanie and Brenden have known each other for what seems like forever, quite literally! They met in grade school and began dating in high school. Clearly, it was more than a crush! Melanie and Brenden have been together for almost eleven years and engaged for four.

Last week, Tammi and Michael said “I do” during their tropical Maui beach wedding. With loved ones there to cheer them on and a cool island breeze, it felt closer to a dream than reality. Wearing a white suit with lacy details and looking chic, Emily walked down the aisle on her son’s arm. Natalie followed, looking stunning in an elegant gown with a button-down back. There was no shortage of love and warm smiles during this Hawaii beach wedding!

Their guests could not resist capturing the lovely moment themselves! After exchanging leis and rings, it was time for that magical kiss! Then, as a married couple, Natalie and Emily explored the shore together and the amazing team at Karma Hill Photography captured all the radiant beauty. 

Our Couple’s Story

Natalie and Emily met while training for a half-marathon three years ago. Since that moment, they’ve been inseparable. They were engaged at the Hamilton Pool Preserve in Dripping Springs, Texas.

Natalie told us the story, and we just had to share it: “We planned to spend the day at the park, but we were shocked to find out the park was about to close in ten minutes. Emily raced down to the pool, and I was lagging behind her. When we reached the waterfall, I was trying to capture a picture of Emily by the crystal clear pool when I asked her to turn around for a photo. She then looked at me with tears in her eyes and the waterfall sounding behind her and said, “Will you marry me?” I was stunned, and my knees began to buckle as I said, “Yes!”
