Cindy and Scott’s 5 Palms Wedding in Maui was all about love! Nine family members were in attendance, including children and grandkids, making this sweet wedding intimate and filled with smiles. The day was blessed with comfortable weather and just the right amount of gentle cloud coverage to cool the warm tropical breeze from the ocean.

5 Palms is the perfect location for an outdoor ceremony that melds the perks of a venue with the backdrop of a beach wedding. Situated on the south coast of the island, the 5 Palms lawn overlooks the sparkling waters of Keawakapu Beach. With shoreline lava rock, golden sands, and an unparalleled view of the setting sun, this venue is what Maui wedding dreams are made from! And while we’re on the topic of Maui wedding dreams, how spectacular is it that Cindy and Scott were able to say “I do” in such a beautiful location with their children and sweet grandchildren watching on!

Cindy and Scott’s wedding opened with their grandbabies, AKA adorable Croc-wearing cuties! Seriously, does it get much cuter than this? Following the precious intro, Manutea Nui e provided the lovely sway of hula and the soft strum of the ukulele. Cindy’s son oversaw the union, sharing wise words and thoughtful sentiments before our couple had their first kiss as husband and wife. 

Our Couple’s Story

Cindy and Scott met the modern way, on a dating app! After two years together, they both decided that the time was right to say “I do”! Cindy works as a nurse and teacher (this boss queen has opened TWO schools!), and Scott is a construction consultant. It seems like building important and strong structures is this couple’s forte, just look at their relationship! Katelyn & Lance were such a joy to work with! Their love began long after their first meeting but once they knew, they knew!! They work for the same large company and met a few years prior to them dating during a work event. They had no idea at the time that their paths would cross again at another work event and the stars would align, but they did! Today, they celebrate the love that grew with a Maui beach wedding!

Lance has 3 kids that unfortunately couldn’t make it to their Maui wedding due to Covid, but they are thrilled with their “bonus Mom” Katelyn! This sweet couple has a wonderful future ahead of them and we are just honored to be a part of their story!

Lance’s parents come to Maui for a few weeks out of every year and they were blessed to be able to join them for their ceremony. The couple brought their own family officiant and Lance’s dad also said a few words during their very personal ceremony.

Lance proposed to his beautiful bride at a beautiful indoor pool at a hotel in Virginia Beach. He talked with security who allowed him to wait until the pool was closed to get some privacy and he popped the question! Love it!!

This Pennsylvania couple is as sweet as they come! Not only were they a dream to work with while planning their beach elopement in Maui, but they also thoughtfully brought chocolate bars from their home state for their vendor team. Now that’s next-level sweetness!

Jennifer and Michael chose a morning ceremony for their Maui elopement ceremony. We love this option as it is typically cooler, the beaches are far less busy and then you have the whole day to enjoy together as a married couple! Elopements are all about breaking the rules and doing whatever you want, who says you have to go to dinner after your ceremony? Maybe a morning snorkel would be even more special!

Just look at how giddy these two are to get married, we just adore their chemistry.

The anticipation was truly felt by all of us for Tricia & Billy’s Beach Wedding in Maui. They waited a lifetime for each other, and we waited 5 months since our last wedding! It’s been rough not having weddings in our life every single day. We’ve been looking forward to this gorgeous ceremony just as much as Tricia & Billy!

Tricia & Billy met 3 years ago when she decided to swipe Right on Tinder. Billy thought it was his dashing good looks but it was actually all because of his name. See, Tricia’s dog was named Billy, and as all dog owners know, they are one of the most special beings in your life. She felt it was meant to be!

It was a beautiful afternoon at Southside Beach. The warm sun with a light breeze offered the perfect setting for these two to share their vows with one another. Although they had planned for many family and friends (and their dogs) to be there on their wedding day, things didn’t work out quite as planned.

Quarantine orders for the guests coming from the mainland made it nearly impossible for loved ones to attend. Instead, this resilient couple brought Live Maui Webcasts along to film it for everyone watching from their homes in the mainland. This awful pandemic may have put up hurdles in our lives but Tricia & Billy weren’t going to let it get in the way of their love. In fact, it’s stronger than ever now as they embark on this new chapter as husband and wife.

Billy restored his blue Bronco all himself! It was the perfect prop for their wedding pictures. Billy planned a fun “honeymoon weekend” adventuring around West Maui in the Bronco before heading back to work on Monday.

Sometimes Love is jubilant, a dancing laugh made of sunlight and whispered wishes. Other times, Love is quiet, a solid rock to hold onto as you drift in the sea, a warm hand to grasp when yours are cold.

Whitney & Oscar’s Maui wedding was nothing how they’d envisioned getting married in paradise would be like… With the coronavirus encroaching into the country, half of their guests needed to stay home, including Whitney’s Matron of Honor and Oscar’s family and parents. Then their rehearsal dinner was canceled… and then came the rain. But our bride and groom were gracious throughout it all, smiling and taking in every moment of their Special Day.

With their kindness and sweet moments of thankfulness, Whitney & Oscar showed us all that even in times like these, Love wins.

Emily, our onsite coordinator reflected on the day, saying: “The sun never came out to shine on their wedding, but there was something even brighter shining on them – their love for each other, the love from their family, and the blessings they received for their marriage.”

During this cloud, there’s been a silver lining: all over the world, people are showing kindness, people are coming together to protect their neighbors and their communities. And although Karma Hill Photography had offered a couple’s portrait session once the weather cleared up, our bride and groom cared more about the health and safety of the crew than capturing their dream photo… all they wanted was for the photographer to stay home, to stay safe, and to stay healthy.

Whitney & Oscar may not have had the sun-filled Maui wedding they’d always dreamed of… but looking over these images, it’s clear that their wedding was the unforeseen but beautiful beginning of a dream marriage, a marriage rooted in truth and unconditional love.

As our bride puts it: “Of course it wasn’t the perfect day you dream of, but we made do with what we had, and it was wonderful. I am proud to be Mrs. Gutierrez, and these events have shown me just what a strong, incredible man I have…”

Overlooking Wailea, the grassy terrace set the stage for Ashley & Robert’s airy and elegant Gannon’s wedding on Maui. The weather was perfect for an outdoor ceremony: overcast skies with soft, romantic lighting and a cool breeze that drifted up from the ocean.

Shades of purple were the colors of choice for this vibrant young couple. After visiting Ali’i Kula Lavender Farm, Ashley and Robert fell in love with the subtle hues and wanted to weave the soft color palette into their Special Day. And the result? Beauty for ages!

Robert looked on-point in a dusky lavender tie and a violet boutonniere.

And their adorable (and very good girl) Chloe joined the party while sporting an extra stylish purple hair ribbon. Which was just the cutest thing! Who’s a pretty girl?

After our beautiful couple said “I do,” we traveled down to the white sandy shore of Southside beach. These two newlyweds have a special connection to the Wailea cost… It was about a year and a half ago, on the shore of Po’olenalena, where Robert asked Ashley to be his wife.

And to make it something of a tradition, they hoped to visit as many Maui beaches as possible during their stay… in fact, Southside was the beach they’d planned on visiting next! It worked out perfectly… and speaking of perfection, we can’t get over how amazing these Maui couples portraits came out!

What do you get when two families meet halfway around the world on the shores of the Magic Isle? A Maui destination wedding! Megan was born in Australia but moved to Canada when she was just ten-years-old… and there, she eventually met the love of her life, Tim!

These two met at a mutual friend’s party, and it didn’t take long for them to decide (together) to take their relationship to the next level. And it was this past February, in the lush rainforest of Queensland’s Lamington National Park, where they officially got engaged! They figured the best spot to say “I do” was where Megan’s parents often frequent, the Kihei Surf Side!

The day was bright and breezy, with hardly another soul on the emerald lawn, making for a quiet and intimate ceremony with just the bride and groom and their closest family.

When asked about their preferred photography style for their Maui destination wedding, our couple responded “Goofy and fun!” And we couldn’t have been more thrilled! We are ALL about capturing those big smiles and sealing that laughter in photos that will be cherished for a lifetime! We welcome fun and say, “Bring on the goofy!”

One day, after his mother called to ask when he was going to get married, Daemon sat down with Ruolan and they made the difficult decision to have a Maui beach elopement… just kidding! Far from a difficult choice, these two were happy and immensely relieved to elope in a beautiful island paradise! Bright skies, a salty ocean breeze, and crystal-clear waters, what else could anyone wish for on their beach wedding on Maui? It was a beautiful day for a beautiful couple! Michelle & Chris were one of the most adorable and sincere couples that we’ve had the pleasure of meeting.

They started dating six and a half years ago, and when Michelle mentioned she wanted to tie the knot on leap year, Chris was more than happy to help make it happen! Chris said he wanted to say “I do” somewhere tropical with waterfalls… so Michelle suggested Maui. And it was the perfect fit, of course! Keep swiping for all the sweet shots!

This Maui wedding on the beach was the Goldilocks of Hawaiʻi ceremonies: not too hot, not too bright, but just right! The temperament of the weather perfectly suited our beautiful bride and groom, steady and easygoing.

Stephanie & Austen have been together for 8 years, and over the span of six of those cycles around the sun, they’ve been all-in on getting married! So, of course, their guests were thrilled that the Big Day had finally arrived–the celebration was flooded with plenty of cheers and heartfelt congratulations… even a few laughs of “Finally.” Sometimes when a couple belongs together, their friends and family just know! And watching Stephanie & Austen say “I do,” it was pretty clear even to us that they were a match made in Heaven… Or maybe on the shores of Maui? Sometimes it’s hard to tell the two apart. This Hawaii venue wedding at Gannon’s in Wailea was a celebration to remember! No lad or las could have been happier than Donelle & Steven on this special day. Bright and vivid, the weather showcased the tropics at its finest, warmth punctuated by a sweet ocean breeze. And in addition to the tang of the sea, rolling through the air that morning was the melodic sound of the highlands… because no true Scottman’s wedding would be complete without the unmistakable legato of the bagpipes!

Our couple’s love story began in a modern way–over the internet! And now our Canadian bride and Scottish groom have brought along their closest family and traveled to the middle of the Pacific Ocean to say “I do” on one of the most beautiful islands in the world!
