Patrick and Maria’s Maui beach wedding was the epitome of love, simplicity, and joy! Their beautiful day at the Four Seasons and nearby Southside Beach perfectly reflected their desire for something quiet and meaningful. From their sweet high school beginnings at age 14 to a ski trip proposal in Pennsylvania exactly one year before their wedding, their love story has been building toward this magical moment.

The day began with an intimate “first look” at the Four Seasons. And we can’t recommend a “first look” enough for a Maui wedding! There’s nothing quite like having a quiet moment together before the ceremony to take it all in! Patrick’s face lit up as he saw Maria for the first time, her smile radiant and her blue shoes adding a sweet “something blue” touch to her classic bridal look. We are so excited to share the beautiful Maui beach wedding celebration of Maharai and Miguel! It was such a lovely, family orientated day as you’ll see! Meet Miguel and Maharai, two lovebirds who first crossed paths at work, quickly becoming friends and hiking buddies. Miguel, with his charming ways, swept Maharai right off her feet. It wasn’t long before he popped the question in the breathtaking Grand Teton National Park, with their proud parents by their side to witness the magic.

With roots in Mexico and Cuba respectively, Maharai and Miguel share a bond as strong as their love for the great outdoors. They’re National Parks enthusiasts through and through, and their first trip together was to O’ahu and the Big Island. Maui was next on their list, and they couldn’t pass up the chance to say “I do” on its stunning shores.

After recently moving from Colorado to Iowa, thanks to Miguel’s promotion at Amazon, the couple and their beloved cat Novo were ready for a new adventure. Their wedding at DT Fleming Beach was nothing short of spectacular. The sun shone gloriously, and the couple looked absolutely radiant in the Maui sunshine. Maharai made a beautiful entrance with her father which left Miguel speechless!

Gabby, a recent nursing school graduate who will begin her career in the PACU in Oregon, and Dean, a software engineer and business owner, met on the Hinge app in late 2021 and have been inseparable since. The couple, who moved in together in October 2022 and got engaged in March 2023, share a love for video games, hiking, reading, running, and cycling. With two adorable ragdoll kittens added to their family in April, they plan to get a dog in the next few years too! A growing little family in the making!

Their love for Maui, especially Wailea, where Gabby’s aunt lives, made it the perfect location for their wedding. It was Dean’s first trip to Maui in December 2022, and he fell in love with the island just as much as Gabby. So their wedding became a perfect blend of a vacation and celebration, with Dean’s family, who had always wanted to visit Maui, joining in the festivities too! Alexis, a dedicated high school English teacher, and Aren works for a financial technology company. They share a love story that began in high school. Though friends at first, it wasn’t until college that they realized their feelings for each other. Aren’s romantic proposal in downtown Chicago, aboard a boat on the Chicago River, set the stage for a lifetime of shared adventures. Choosing Maui for their wedding was a natural decision. Alexis’s love for Hawaii’s beauty sold Aren on Maui as the perfect wedding location.

A Perfect Venue Ceremony

Their wedding started with Alexis walking down the aisle to “Canon in D,” played on a ukulele by Jon of Manutea Nui E. She looked radiant in an off-the-shoulder white gown, her dark hair cascading in loose waves and a delicate veil flowing behind her. Alexis’s bouquet of white orchids and roses with green tropical foliage complemented her elegant appearance perfectly. Aren, equally dashing in a traditional barong tagalog, stood waiting at the altar.

Izabella and Nikolas’ Maui venue wedding day was a perfect blend of romance, beauty, and joyful celebration. Both business owners, Nikolas is a clothing reseller and Izabella is a full-time mama and brow artist. Their lives are filled with precious family moments with their beautiful boy and fur baby. Choosing an intimate wedding in Maui was a no-brainer for them, wanting a peaceful, quiet, and picturesque setting away from the hustle and bustle of the Bay Area! So, we were delighted to make that dream come true!

Their love story began in third grade, blossoming into a deep friendship by eighth grade. On the night of their eighth-grade graduation, Nikolas asked Izabella out, and they’ve been together ever since. How sweet is that?! It’s not often we hear of such a long love story like these two! Fast forward to a surprise dinner at a live jazz restaurant, Nikolas proposed, and of course, Izabella said yes! So, without further adieu, keep reading to see more!

Their wedding day at Makani Point, a Wailea Beach Resort overlooking the ocean, was nothing short of breathtaking! The venue, with its stunning ocean views, provided the perfect romantic backdrop for their special day. The serene beauty of the location captured the essence of their love and the intimate atmosphere they desired.

Izabella and Nikolas exuded relaxed elegance, their looks perfectly complementing the mesmerizing sky and tranquil surroundings. The ceremony was filled with heartfelt moments, their joy and love radiating through every glance and smile. Tien and Jacqueline’s Maui venue wedding day at the Andaz Resort in Maui was a delightful celebration filled with joy, love, and the warmth of friends and family. Their journey began at a dental school’s welcome weekend in April 2019, where they quickly hit it off over dinner at the same restaurant. Their bond grew stronger over the summer, and by the time school started, they were inseparable.

Fast forward to May 2023, Tien and Jacqueline graduated, moved to Dallas, and began their careers in dentistry. Jacqueline practices as a general dentist, while Tien is completing his residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD). In their free time, they enjoy being homebodies with their four cats, dining out, playing pickleball, and binge-watching the latest shows and movies! Two peas in a pod! So we were delighted when they contacted us to coordinate their special day! Re-live their beautiful celebration through these highlights below!

Tropical Elegance Done Right

Their proposal story is as enchanting as their wedding. Tien surprised Jacqueline with a proposal at Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago, using a ring his mother bought for him when he was four years old, reset in a simple golden band. How touching is that?! Just about the sweetest thing we’ve ever heard!

Choosing an intimate Maui wedding, they exchanged vows on the beautiful Laule’a 3 Lawn at Andaz Resort, marked by a stunning greenery arch. And of course the star of this site, the old-growth Kiawe tree! The ceremony was intimate and beautiful, reflecting their desire for a special moment shared with loved ones without the stress of a large, extravagant event..exactly what Simple Maui Wedding does best!

Jacqueline looked exquisite in her minimalist wedding dress, and Tien was handsome in a classic tux. They both were a sight to behold against the tropical greenery! Their happiness was contagious, radiating through every portrait… The newlywed portraits by the beach were especially romantic, capturing their love in the most picturesque setting. The sun, sea, and their glowing smiles made for truly unforgettable moments they will surely never forget! Our sweet couple were also blessed with an incredibly sublime sunset as you’ll see below!
