It was a spectacular, fiery day during Antoinette and Jonathan’s Maui Vow Renewal. With a handful of loved ones in attendance and plenty to celebrate, there was no shortage of joy on the beach! The island even celebrated with a blazing sunset over Baldwin Beach that took our breath away!

The Maui Vow Renewal

After their tender vows, Antoinette and Jonathan were treated to a performance of  “How Long Will I Love You” by Ellie Goulding, all performed by their talented seven-year-old daughter. The moment was beyond charming! After popping the cider to celebrate, our couple and their guests sliced into the cake and gave cheers to a decade of love.

Our Couple’s Story

When asked about their love story, Jonathan replied, “Antoinette and I have been married for 10 years. We met in Nursing School and are both from the Philippines, but we currently reside in Maryland working as nurses. We have a beautiful daughter named Sophia who recently turned 7, and we love to travel as a family and spend time outdoors.”

“My wife and I first met in Nursing School. After we graduated, my wife went home to the Philippines, and I realized that she was the one I want to spend the rest of my life with. Codie and Seth’s Hawaii Beach Elopement featured golden sunlight and the salty ocean breeze. They said “I do” in front of the rolling ocean backdrop of Baldwin Beach in the small town of Paia. After the pandemic made it nearly impossible for a large traditional wedding, Codie and Seth set sail for the islands for the once-in-a-lifetime experience of an intimate elopement with just the two of them. 

The Hawaii Beach Elopement

Reverend Kuya opened the ceremony with the reverberating sound of the Hawaiian conch as Codie and Seth held hands and awaited the moment they would tie their lives together. Wearing an off-the-shoulder gown in pure white and with princess draping, Codie is stunning. We love how her anuenue bouquet adds a pop of vibrancy to the modern attire. These two were simply the sweetest. From the shared smiles to the bubbly laughter, it was clear from the start that Codie and Seth were meant to be. 

Our Couple’s Story

Codie owns her own photography business and works part-time as a waitress at Applebee’s. Seth is a police officer in Fremont, NE (thank you for your service!). Together they have one son, named Jaxson who is 14 months old. They don’t get much free time between working and taking care of their little one, but when they do, Seth enjoys gaming and lifting and Codie loves doing homebody tasks. We were thrilled to coordinate Kayla and Randy’s Maui Beach Elopement on the rustic shore of Baldwin. Together with Kayla’s parents and son, our couple celebrated six years of love with a ceremony that was nothing short of beautiful. With every moment worth highlighting, this was a day plucked from the stars. 

The Maui Beach Elopement

Wearing a strapless gown with a show-stopping train, Kayla was simply gorgeous. We loved how the subtle pearl accents called attention to her glowing features and beachy waves. Doing his part in bringing style to the shore, Randy looks modern and sophisticated in a tailored navy vest and coal gray slacks, all tied together with accents of leather. Is this a pin-worthy couple, or what?! 

But by far the most beautiful thing on the beach that day was the love shared between Kayla and Randy. And no matter how many times they wear those smiles or exchange those glances, a love like this will never go out of style. 

Our Couple’s Story

Kayla and Randy live together in Lake Stevens, Washington with Kayla’s 8-year-old son Brayden (AKA super cutie!!–keep scrolling!), their two cats Luna & Leo, and their French bulldog puppy Kirby. Kayla works in medical billing and Randy works at Boeing. 

A couple of years ago, our sister company, Karma Hill Photography, had the pleasure of capturing Kayla and Randy’s save-the-date photos for their wedding. Together for six years, Kayla and Randy met on Tinder and hit it off immediately. One special day, they embarked on a hiking exposition, but they ended up getting so lost that they had to climb on boulders to get to the top! Stephanie and Sam’s Beach Wedding in Maui featured sweeping ocean views and the wild tropics of the island’s northern coast. The day was bright and sunny, with a speckling of cloud coverage and plenty of Paia’s famous trade winds. This special union was the perfect blend of beauty and rustic elegance. 

The Beach Wedding in Maui

When Stephanie made her entrance through the woods of Baldwin Beach, Sam’s look of pure joy was unforgettable. And we get why! Wearing a glittering gown in a shade of caramel to match the soft sands, Stephanie is simply stunning. Her elegant up-do perfectly frames her lovely face, and the gilded tiara kept it secure in the playful winds.

Led by Reverend Kuya, Stephanie and Sam shared their vows while standing in a flower circle of blooms to match the bride’s bouquet. Traditional ceremony arches are restricted on public beaches, so this ring of beauty “lei’d” in its place. We love how serene and genuine Stephanie and Sam are as they tie their lives together. This Beach Wedding in Maui was flooded with love! 

Our Couple’s Story

Stephanie and Sam met while working in a skilled nursing facility. She’s employed as a speech-language pathologist, and Sam is a physical therapy assistant. They remained just friends for a year before dating and were engaged on a cruise in 2019. Stephanie has a young daughter from a previous marriage, and Sam has blossomed into a wonderful parent. Rachel & Michael’s initial wedding plan didn’t include a Maui elopement. They originally planned to get married in their home state of Minnesota. With the pandemic all around them and many family members being too high-risk to attend a wedding they decided an elopement in Maui was sounding pretty amazing!! We couldn’t agree more. There will be many years to come where you can celebrate with friends and family but this day, was just for you two!!

How Did They Meet?

Rachel & Michael had an instant connection when they first met. Like so many other couples they met in the world of online dating. They shared many messages and talks on the phone and both knew that there was something there. Once they finally were able to meet in person they were never again apart!

They have enjoyed many firsts together like their first vacation, their first puppy, who is a Siberian Husky named Captain, their first (and hopefully only) pandemic! lol! These two have really created a special bond and it means the world to us that they continued their story on the beaches of Maui.

Morning weddings have truly been missed these past few months!! The calm serene setting, the bright blue skies, the happy faces, there’s really nothing like it! Daniela & Brent’s Maui beach elopement was nothing shy of all those things; calm and serene, bright and vibrant skies, and filled with happiness!

Brent is a police officer and Daniela works in the school system in Illinois. She’s also going to school for interior design. This sweet couple was so happy to get out of the 40-degree weather in Chicago and had plans of adventuring around the island hiking and trying new restaurants for their honeymoon. After their gorgeous Maui wedding, they were prepared to enjoy it all as a newlywed husband and wife.

We absolutely LOVE the color of Brent’s suit! Daniela & Brent wanted to stay away from the super popular navy color but still keeping it blue. This color was perfect; they liked it because it reminded them of the ocean and still remained unique. Apparently Reverend Kuya really liked the color as well because he showed up in the same color kihei! The color looked amazing set against the morning blue ocean and the hues of blue in the Puukukui mountain range. Well done team!

The beach was gorgeous this particular morning!! A few people walking here and there but we pretty much had it all to ourselves. We took full advantage walking up and down before dipping off into the shade for a few shots in the greenery.

There was hardly a dry eye during Zoe & Emanuel’s tender wedding ceremony on Maui. This sweet couple met in high school and started dating within the first week of their freshman year–when you know, you know! And it was clear from the moment Zoe walked down the sand that these two were meant to be. Their special connection lit up the shore of Baldwin Beach that afternoon… Emanuel’s gratitude and pure happiness were impossible to miss!

This sweet couple has been to Maui three times in the past. The island is filled with special memories of Zoe’s late grandmother–and they feel her presence whenever they visit. That’s how they knew it was the perfect place to say “I do” because her spirit would be with them on their Special Day…

Melissa really wanted to take a photo on a driftwood log and the perfect one just so happened to be right next to where we were shooting the ceremony. So we were thrilled with how perfectly that worked out! She also really wanted shots with a rainbow and we even got one in the distance, it was so awesome!

We also made sure to capture some extra special shots of the two of them with their kids. And then the remainder of the session was spent just spoiling them and making them feel super special in front of the camera. Stephanie & Nick traveled all the way from Colorado for their Maui Vow Renewal! They had a big wedding 2 years ago and this was their chance to enjoy a dream ceremony on the beach. The best part is that this time Leo was around for it! Their 10-month old son is so cute, and he even walked his mom down the aisle! (well, kind of)

Just because they were enjoying a simple wedding didn’t mean they skimped on the details! Stephanie looked lovely in her lace gown and tropical bouquet. They wrote their own vows for each other and stayed at the beach through sunset to get some sweet photos together! That’s how a Maui vow renewal should be!
