From their sweet high school beginnings at age 14 to a ski trip proposal in Pennsylvania exactly one year before their wedding, their love story has been building toward this magical moment.

The day began with an intimate “first look” at the Four Seasons. And we can’t recommend a “first look” enough for a Maui wedding! There’s nothing quite like having a quiet moment together before the ceremony to take it all in! Patrick’s face lit up as he saw Maria for the first time, her smile radiant and her blue shoes adding a sweet “something blue” touch to her classic bridal look. It was a tender, private moment that set the tone for the day ahead.

The ceremony took place at Southside Beach, where a stunning flower circle awaited the couple. Surrounded by golden light and the gentle sound of waves, their vows felt like something out of a dream. With their shared love for food and travel, it was no surprise they chose the picturesque Merriman’s Kapalua to say “I do.” The venue, nestled right by the water, offered a perfect backdrop for their vows, and the joy was palpable as friends and family gathered to celebrate the couple. We are so excited to share the beautiful Maui beach wedding celebration of Maharai and Miguel! It was such a lovely, family orientated day as you’ll see! Meet Miguel and Maharai, two lovebirds who first crossed paths at work, quickly becoming friends and hiking buddies. Miguel, with his charming ways, swept Maharai right off her feet. It wasn’t long before he popped the question in the breathtaking Grand Teton National Park, with their proud parents by their side to witness the magic.

With roots in Mexico and Cuba respectively, Maharai and Miguel share a bond as strong as their love for the great outdoors. They’re National Parks enthusiasts through and through, and their first trip together was to O’ahu and the Big Island. Maui was next on their list, and they couldn’t pass up the chance to say “I do” on its stunning shores.

After recently moving from Colorado to Iowa, thanks to Miguel’s promotion at Amazon, the couple and their beloved cat Novo were ready for a new adventure. Their wedding at DT Fleming Beach was nothing short of spectacular. The sun shone gloriously, and the couple looked absolutely radiant in the Maui sunshine. Maharai made a beautiful entrance with her father which left Miguel speechless!

For these two, the beach wedding wasn’t just a celebration of their union but a nod to their adventurous spirits and their love for exploring new horizons. As they stood hand in hand, surrounded by the beauty of Maui and their loved ones, it was clear that this day was as special as their love story. The joy on their face was palpable!

Did Elmer and Joan find the perfect location for their Maui venue wedding, or did the venue find them? Either way, it was a match made in tropical heaven! Elmer, the ever-busy electrician/rancher, and Joan, a dedicated stay-at-home mom to their two beautiful daughters, Arielle (10) and Natalie (4), have a full plate, to say the least. Between managing their 80-acre ranch—with 50 mama cows, a couple of horses, three dogs, and a dozen hens—they somehow found the time to plan a magical island wedding. And thanks to our incredible team of Maui wedding planners we made it happen!

Originally, they had set their sights on the Philippines, but when the pandemic hit and restrictions popped up, they quickly pivoted. Now here is where Maui into the picture—less busy, more a country lifestyle, and exactly the vibe they were looking for. The island already held a special place in their hearts, having visited once before, and this time, they would make it the setting for their big day. After 13 years together, including love at first sight (thanks, Elmer’s ice cream invite!), two kids, a home, and a life they built together, it was time to make it official!

Their day at Gather couldn’t have been more perfect. A stunning tropical arch framed their heartfelt vows, with friends and family cheering them on. The celebration continued on the lush lawn, laughter filling the air before they headed to Southside Beach. There, a breathtaking sunset was the cherry on top of an already perfect day!
