Lindsey and Jordan wanted a small yet elegant micro wedding in Maui, and what they got was everything they’d hoped and then some! Having never visited the island before, they fell in love with Maui after their friends returned and shared their beautiful photos. With only a handful of loved ones in attendance, Lindsey and Jordan’s wedding was nothing short of gorgeous. Small in all the right ways and decorated with tropical goodness, this micro wedding in Maui is a must-see!

The Micro Wedding in Maui

One of our newest venues, the Rustic Hawaiian Ruins, set the stage with dramatic coral brick walls and a towering cross of driftwood. A hush came over the venue as Lindsey’s father walked her down the aisle. Carrying a bouquet of greenery with flowers grown on the island and wearing a flowing gown with a rhinestone bodice, Lindsey is simply stunning.

Reverend Kimo opened the ceremony with the traditional Hawaiian conch shell, and our couple took their first steps on the beautiful journey of marriage. 

Our Couple’s Story

Lindsey and Jordan met the old-fashioned way, through mutual friends! Lindsey works part-time as an occupational therapist assistant and shift manager at a retail salon and spa. While Jordan is a vendor for Little Debbie–no wonder this couple is so sweet!

Together they have two furbabies, an adorable Jack Russell and a beautiful Labradoodle. They love to hang out with friends and be outdoors together. Jordan proposed to Lindsey at an out-of-town winery, and the rest is in this blog!

After having to cancel their formal wedding multiple times, Raquel and Jason decided to have a simple yet elegant Hawaii Beach Elopement instead. Both work and live in Kansas City, but Raquel grew up on the island, and it was as if Maui was sending a beautiful blessing. The shore was painted in pretty hues of pastel with droplets of golden light. It may not have been the wedding they had planned for, but it was one dreams are made of! 

Raquel and Jason are both podiatrist doctors with a strong footing in their relationship! After meeting in medical school, Raquel and Jason were engaged following six years of dating. Their gorgeous Hawaii Beach Elopement was the perfect icing on the (wedding) cake!

Wearing a mermaid gown with delicate off-the-shoulder accents and an easy yet elegant side swept hairstyle, Raquel is simply radiant. Bringing in some flair of his own, Jason’s casual outfit is perfect for a Hawaii Beach Elopement, with brown leather accents adding just the right amount of sophistication.

Teresa and David chose to elope in Maui to celebrate their love and the beautiful family they’ve created. With their two adorable kiddos watching on, Teresa and David tied the knot against the spectacular backdrop of Southside’s glistening shore. There was no shortage of love or cuteness at this Maui wedding! 

Wearing a gown designed by Katie May and iced with a tropical flower crown, Teresa looks gorgeous against the white sands. With an open back, a form fitting bodice, and finely detailed lace applique, this Maui bride is take-your-breath-away stunning! Just look at that smile!

Sporting a simple yet elegant suit by Ermenegildo Zegna, David looks pretty great himself! We think he takes the prize for “happiest groom”! 

When the special moment arrived, their six-year-old son stepped forward and pulled off the most important job on the beach, delivering the rings! Our Couple’s Story

Teresa and David met through mutual friends and were engaged in Italy… on a gondola! Does it get more romantic than that? Well, their decision to elope in Maui is a pretty good bet! Six years and two kids later, Teresa and David, at last, get to share their wedding day, with each other and with their sweet children! Win, win, win!

Love was everywhere for Mandy and William’s Hawaii Beach Elopement. Polo Beach set the stage with vibrant morning hues of aquamarine and emerald greens, and the warm trade winds topped off the tropical mood. Mandy and William dreamed of a wedding day that was relaxed, happy, and simply elegant. We were thrilled to bring it into reality! 

The Hawaii Beach Elopement

Mandy and William are the kind of couple that just knows. After two years together, one day William looked at Mandy and said, “Is there some reason we aren’t already married-Why don’t we get married now! Let’s just do this already,” and she agreed. No bells or whistles, just a couple who knows what they want with no strings attached.

Their gorgeous Hawaii Beach Elopement was #SameEnergy. Nothing but the gentle Maui sun, smiles, and joy. It was clear that Mandy and William aren’t only madly in love, but they’re also the best of friends. 

William works as a home project manager for a tech company, and Mandy serves the community as a doctor, where the hospital is her second home. They met on Bumble and now share an adorable Italian-style home they’ve nicknamed the “villa.” Together, they love to hike, snowboard, and travel. But during the quarantine days, they’ve rediscovered Netflix (as we all have!).

With no children or pets so far, Mandy will sometimes joke that she’ll surprise William with a little pug one day, to which he replies he wants “a real dog.” Mandy and William were so easygoing and fun to be around. Before Tiffany and Brian fell head over heels in love, their paths had crossed many times, almost as if destiny was guiding them together. With their original wedding date postponed exactly one year due to COVID, Tiffany and Brian were in the perfect mindset to elope on Maui. They were so ready to celebrate and simply indulge in their love story and Big Day. Brian has visited Hawaii several times and loves the islands, while Tiffany has dreamed of getting Maui’d since childhood.

Our Couple’s Story

Tiffany and Brian are both artists, with Brain working as a graphic designer and Tiffany being more of the wild and free painterly type. They met for the first time in college where they were both majoring in graphic design. But the time wasn’t quite right. Brian was a senior and Tiffany was a freshman, so they didn’t get much opportunity to get to know each other. It wasn’t until seven years later when they both signed up for eHarmony and fell into each other’s lives again.

They met up at a popular Dutch restaurant and simply talked for hours. During the conversation, they realized that since college they’d lived in the same neighborhood, TWICE! One thing led to another, and they were engaged at a special place called Seven Bridges on the beaches of Lake Michigan, with their good boy Hank watching on. Together they love good food, Badger games, and playing with their furbabies, not to mention having a blast on the sand! How cute are these two?!

Kaite and Jackson’s Maui Micro Wedding was flooded with the prettiest pastel lighting that perfectly encapsulated their gentle love. They say “perfect” is impossible, but set on Gannon’s ceremonial knoll with an exquisite view of south Maui, Kaitlin and Jackson’s special day was nothing short of perfection. 

The Maui Micro Wedding 

The ceremony began with the sacred blowing of the conch and the grand entrance of our beautiful bride. Jackson’s expression as he laid eyes on his bride was everything love is made of. Wearing a form-fitting gown by Mestads with delicate details and a sweeping veil, Kaite gave the Maui sun a run for the title of Most Luminous. 

After the ceremony, the wedding party encircled Kaite and Jackson as they listened to the voice of a very special singer. Unable to attend their wedding, Kaitlin’s father prerecorded a beautiful original song. He was part of her Maui Micro Wedding in spirit and in melody.

Having to delay their original wedding due to COVID, Kaite’s father inscribed this song last year and kept it secret until that very moment. It was beyond special to have such a beautiful and sentimental blessing. Follow along for more precious moments!

Our Couple’s Story

Kaite and Jackson live in Minnesota where Kaite works as an RN and Jackson is in sales. They met three and a half years ago when their Maid of Honor set them up on a blind date at an ice cream shop. The date was sweet but far from cold! Jackson later proposed on the balcony of that very shop! We can not get over how gorgeous these two look on the white sands of Southside beach!

Jill and Eric met playing soccer in San Francisco, and little did they know that the end goal had nothing to do with a net and everything to do with a Maui Beach Elopement! Ironwoods set the stage with rocky outcroppings and the deep, wild shores of Maui’s west side. With luminous lighting and plenty of sweet embraces, this wedding day is a must-see!

The Maui Beach Elopement

Beneath the endless Maui sky, Reverend Richardo led the ceremony with wise Hawaiian adages. The ocean sent its sounds of Aloha while Jill and Eric held gazes as they exchanged leis and wedding rings. Read on to see our couple joined in marriage and celebrating with a first kiss.

You know, just the ordinary first kiss in front of a spectacular ocean view with powder-soft sands beneath your feet, the Maui sun on your shoulders, and the towering cliffs of Ironwoods beach in the backdrop. Nothing to write home about… Seriously though, how incredible is this Maui Beach Elopement! 

Following the ceremony, we escorted Jill and Eric around the premises to capture all those luscious dynamic shots Ironwoods is known for. We loved how Jill’s gorgeous dress blended ever-so-perfectly with the rustic ocean hues.

Designed by her own mother, Jill’s turquoise ombre gown with floral overlay looks like it was sewn from the sea. Having designed three out of four of her daughters’ wedding dresses, Jill’s mother knows her way around Big Day drapery! What a special way to be a part of the before process as well as the actual ceremony. Well done, Mom!

Our Couple’s Story

Jill owns a baking company that specializes in homemade-style desserts. She bakes desserts & designs dessert tables for weddings and everyday life events. Eric is an engineer at Stripe for a company in San Francisco. They have a dog named Finley who they adore and spend most of their free time with. Jill and Eric met while playing on the same recreational soccer team in San Francisco.

It took TWO years before they began talking, but it didn’t take long after that for the romance to brew! Their relationship started with emails from Jill giving Eric pro marathon running tips, and after a run together with friends, their relationship blossomed (or maybe, in this case, it took off with a sprint!). Together for seven years, Lynnsy & Ian were filled with emotion during their Maui Venue Wedding. The day was slightly overcast, but when Lynnsy stepped out onto the aisle, it was as if she was lit from within, practically glowing with love! Wearing a boho-inspired gown by Sherri Hill and holding a Rustic Hawaiian Bouquet of island blooms, Lynnsy is a vision.

With the Maui tradewinds gently guiding her forward, she walked up to the love of her life, and they were both overcome with emotion. It was clear that Lynnsy and Ian aren’t only marrying the love of their life, they’re marrying their other half.

Lynnsy and Ian met in high school, but there’s some debate on exactly how long they’ve been dating. Was it the prom, or do the hangouts with friends count? Daisy works as a recruiter for the Army National Guard, and Harrison is employed at an RV company. Together they have two furbabies, Milo and Oreo, and they love to pamper their sweeties with walks and adventures.

Their love story began as two Army friends, but after a few years, it blossomed into a romance. Harrison proposed after an extravagant hike filled with waterfalls. He was so overcome with emotion when he got down on his knee that he was shaking and couldn’t get the words out. But that was just fine because Daisy was doing the same! Hunter and Eric’s Maui Micro Wedding was bright and tropical to the max! And speaking of “to the max,” it does not get much cuter than when their adorable toddler Eli made his grand entrance as “ring security”! With family in attendance, a spectacular view, and unbelievable weather, this Big Day was nothing short of amazing! 

The Maui Micro Wedding 

Sporting a suit to match his dad and sunglasses that gave him that secret service air, Eli opened the event and had the crowd giving all the “awwwws.” After Eli completed his very important mission and delivered the rings safely to dad, those “awwwws” changed to “ooooohs” as the bride made her entrance. Hunter looked spectacular in an elegant gown with floral applique and a cascading bouquet bursting with the hues of the tropics. 

Hunter visited Maui throughout her life and always knew the Magic Island was where she wanted to say “I do.” The hum of the ocean and the gentle breeze paired perfectly with the sound of the guitar, adding just the right amount of melody to a relaxing yet elegant day.

Debra and Marlo wanted an easy, relaxing, and fun wedding, so they figured what better way than to elope in Maui! Ironwoods set the stage with luminous views of the Pacific Ocean and plenty of sand for our couple to sink their feet into. Why They Chose to Elope in Maui

Over the last ten years, Debra has been visiting Maui with her girlfriends to celebrate her birthday. The islands have a special place in her heart. Debra and Marlo even plan to one day buy a house and join the community, to which we say, Aloha! What better place to elope than in your happy place? It was clear that Debra and Marlo seemed right at home. Marlo even sported slippers on his wedding day!

Our Couple’s Story

Debra and Marlo met online through a matchmaking service. After a local Starbucks meetup, they knew romance was in the stars! They have five children between them, Debra’s two sons and Marlo’s three daughters. They both enjoy doing projects around the house and playing with their Golden Retriever, Teddy. 

Together for five years, Debra and Marlo have a great engagement story! While she was working in the hospital and getting ready to escort a patient into surgery for a cesarean, Debra heard someone say, “Why is that man in a tuxedo?” She took a quick peek in the security camera, and sure enough, there was Marlo, waiting by the entrance doors to her ward.

In full scrubs (with a mask and hat), Debra raced towards him. As soon as Marlo saw her, he plunged a hand into his jacket pocket. But before he could do anything, Debra announced, “You can’t do this right now! But will you ask me again soon?” Later that night, they went for a drive to get an ice cream cone, and there in the car, Marlo popped the big question. And, of course, she said YES! Ashley and Alex’s older sisters work together, and one day they got to talking and realized they both had brilliant and available younger siblings. Cue destiny! One thing led to the next, and now Ashley and Alex are proudly celebrating six years together! Great job, sis and sis! Together they have two furbabies, a dog named Maeve and Eleanor the cat. Ashley and Alex are “old souls” and love the simple things in life, a good game of Scrabble, a hike or visit to a museum, and an old-fashioned Chicago Pizza.

The Maui Beach Elopement Location

Seen only on Maui, lava flow as recent as 1,200 years ago formed the plunging cliffs of Kapalua. Paired with the world-famous “Jaws” sized waves of the western coast, and the result is unparalleled rustic beauty.
