One week ago, Kelly and Joshua chose to elope in Maui, Hawaii and now they’re happily Maui’d! Throughout her childhood, Kelly visited the island so frequently it became a second home. So when it came to deciding the location for their elopement, it was a no-brainer! Southside Beach put on all the golden sparkle, with clear skies and gentle tides. The wedding was relaxing, beautiful, and shared with best friends.

The moment Kelly and Joshua’s eyes met was pure magic. This is what love looks like. The joy and excitement was tangible. There’s no question that these sweethearts are meant to be!

Celebrating the occasion with them, were Kelly and Joshua’s closest friends and their two adorable cuties! We loved the energy of this whole crew! From the glowing bride and groom to the cheering friends and the kiddos that didn’t hesitate to plop down in the sand and start digging!

Our Couple’s Story

Kelly and Joshua met while attending the same college, but it wasn’t until after they tossed their grad caps that the romance began. Now they’ve been together for 8 years and inching up to a decade! They recently bought their first home-sweet-home where they love to cuddle their two fur babies, Mason and Cooper.

The sky was heavenly for Riley and Alex’s Beach Wedding in Hawaii. Set on the white sands of Kanaha Beach Park with guests in shades of blue, this big day featured all the smiles and plenty of tropical vibes. This summertime wedding was simply unforgettable. 

The Beach Wedding in Hawaii

Reverend Peter opened the ceremony by blowing on the Hawaiian conch. And as Riley walked down the sandy aisle, Alex’s expression of joy and excitement could not be overlooked! These two shared so many sweet moments and happy smiles, which is truly the best part of any beach wedding in Hawaii. 

We’re all about Riley’s gorgeous gown and the way it accents her vibrant tattoo. Paired with a beachy side-sweep and elegant accessories, this bride is on-point with the beach wedding style! We love how Alex complements the look in a tailored suit with a splashy tropical tie. 

Following their sweet vows and tender embraces, Riley and Alex celebrated their union with gorgeous photos against the vibrant backdrop. Our Maui Wedding Photographers perfectly framed the beauty of the island and captured the excitement of the day. Riley and Alex were so obviously thrilled to be married. Sharlene and Kevin were married at Gannon’s Maui Wedding Venue, overlooking Wailea and the sweeping coastal views. Sharlene walked down the aisle to “Here Comes the Sun,” and the choice couldn’t have been more perfect. The sunlight behaved like a dream during Sharlene and Kevin’s big day, gentle during the ceremony and brilliant during the photo session! 

The Maui Wedding Venue

Gannon’s Restaurant features an unparalleled view from the terrace. Framed with florals and greenery and with an onsight reception option, Sharlene and Kevin knew this was the perfect Maui wedding venue for their special day. A simple yet elegant bamboo arch created a classic backdrop for their “I do’s” while the spacious venue allowed plenty of room for their guests’ seating. 

We’re in love with the subtle way the bridesmaids’ dresses bring out the bright pops of bougainvillea. Not to mention how modern and stylish the groomsmen look! But of course, the real showstoppers were our sweet couple. Sharlene and Kevin could not stop smiling! When you’re marrying the love of your life, your cheeks are bound to hurt the next day! 

Our Couple’s Story

This is the first time our couple has been to Maui, and what a fantastic first it is! With Oahu already pegged on their map, Sharlene and Kevin wanted a rustic wedding that was relaxing and beautiful yet would still make a lasting impression on their guests. You can’t go wrong with a destination like Maui! 

These two nurses met at work and have a brilliant five-year-old daughter together. As they got to know each other, they realized they shared a lot of interests, including hiking, traveling, and watching anime. Kevin knew he wanted to involve a hike when he popped the big question. He arranged for a day around Yosemite, and he went down on a knee near a bubbling creek with the purple mountains in the backdrop. Sharlene said “Yes!”, and now this adventurous couple is saying “I do” in yet another one of the most beautiful places on earth! Keep scrolling for more!

Adriana & Jonathan’s Maui Beach Elopement was a dreamy and romantic event. They wed at sunset on Maui’s North Shore, where the setting sun surrounded them with whimsical glow. Reverend Richardo officiated their Hawaiian ceremony, and they shared a first dance right on the beach! This worry-free wedding was a perfect fit for this barefoot pair.

About Our Couple

Adriana & Jonathan have actually known each other since they were in daycare, but they don’t remember that far back. Years later, Jonathan became best friends with Adriana’s brother. This gave our couple a chance to get to know each other, and eventually in college they fell in love!

They began dating on a beach trip to Florida. Adriana still has the clam shell turtle souvenir that Jonathan bought her on that trip. When Jonathan was ready to propose to Adriana, he took that very same turtle to that very same store, hid a ring inside, and popped the question. What a thoughtful and romantic guy!

Back home in Virginia, this sweet couple work at the same company. They are parents to an adorable toddler who is the light of their life. These hardworking parents definitely deserve some rest and relaxation during their Maui beach elopement trip!

Including Family in a Maui Beach Elopement

Adriana & Jonathan decided on a Maui wedding with just the two of them. As much as they wanted to share their big day with their loved ones, it became hard to plan something back home. Since they had already booked a Hawaii Honeymoon, they decided to have an elopement here too.

You could tell that their family was in their hearts as they celebrated their love. They booked Live Maui Webcasts to stream the ceremony online, and they were sure to get lots of photos from Karma Hill Photography.

These sweet newlyweds still hope to have a big church ceremony at home when the timing is right. That way the get the best of both worlds – a simple Maui beach elopement AND the chance to marry with all their loved ones there!

Pamela & André married last week at a beautiful Hawaii Beach Elopement. They were absolutely dazzling in the late afternoon light as they shared their vows and rings. About Our Couple

Pamela and André met at work and ended up falling in love! They’re a busy pair who love experiencing different foods and taking road trips with their dog Chanel. André has one daughter, and Pamela has four children and nine grandchildren. Yes, you read that right! This glowing bride is a grandmother, nine times over!

Every year these sweethearts visit the same restaurant where they had their first date. Sitting at the same table where they first connected as a couple, André asked Pamela to marry him. And of course she said yes!

Once it was time to plan a wedding, they quickly realized a Hawaii Beach Elopement was perfect for them. Maui is Pamela’s favorite island, so she was eager to show her new husband around!

An Upgraded Experience

Pamela & André booked a Hawaii Beach Elopement package that included everything needed for a sweet wedding. But to make their day a little extra special, they selected some optional upgrades as well!

While they didn’t have any guests at their Maui beach wedding, they still had a little reception – just the two of them. They had a live musician for their first dance, and then they had a cake cutting and toast. The radiant pair also took special photos with Simple Maui Wedding’s exclusive Just Maui’d circle sign. Tara & Tommy had the most stunning Maui elopement at Southside Beach last week! Their intimate morning ceremony featured calm waters, clear views, and a quiet beach. Opting for an elopement allowed them to focus on what truly matters – their new marriage and their sweet kids!

About Our Couple

Tara & Tommy met over 20 years ago, before either one of them were married or had kids. Once they were single again, they reconnected through Social Media. Tara said it was a random re-connection, but we think it might be fate!

These sweethearts got engaged in February of 2020. They’re a long distance couple, so it’s been an especially challenging engagement. We’re so glad that everything worked out for them to have a Maui elopement this summer! They had just two guests with them, and we couldn’t dream of a more adorable new family. About Our Couple

Kaitlyn & Alexander met in High School, but they didn’t start dating until a few years later. Once they reconnected, it didn’t take them long to fall in love!

Kaitlyn works in special education, and Alexander works in private security. They have two cute kids who brought lots of fun energy to their Maui Destination Wedding. See if you can spot little AJ photo-bombing their first dance later on!

This cute couple came to Maui together in 2017. That’s when Alexander asked Kaitlyn to marry him! How could they not come back here for their wedding?? We’re sure they’ll return to beautiful Maui again and again!

Maui Bridal Party Inspiration

After the ceremony, it was time for portraits with the newlyweds and their stunning bridal party. Little Ava & AJ were the guests of honor, and we bet their family picture will be hanging on their wall soon!

They had six bridesmaids and six groomsmen, and their look came together perfectly. It’s definitely inspiration for Maui Destination Wedding bridal parties!

After their group photos on the lawn, we headed down to the beach where we got some stunning sunset shots. While their guests were enjoying cocktails back at Gannon’s, Kaitlyn & Alexander enjoyed some alone time with their toes in the sand.

As the last bit of light peaked over the horizon, we got some final photos at their reception. The fun group was enjoying the dance floor at Gannon’s, and they were ready to toast the newlyweds! Only Smiles at this Maui Beach Wedding

To keep things simple and worry-free, Diane & Craig arrived to the beach together. Free of last-minute jitters, these sweethearts were excited to begin their ceremony and finally become husband & wife.

Reverend Kuya offered a traditional Hawaiian blessing, while Manutea Nui E provided classic ukulele music. As the palm trees swayed and the waves gently rolled to shore, Dine & Craig smiled their way through a heart-felt ceremony.

“Wish You Were Here”

Diane & Craig came to Hawaii for a peaceful and intimate ceremony. They were so grateful for all their friends and family supporting back home and were sure to get great photos to share with everyone. They also streamed their Maui beach wedding online thanks to Live Maui webcasts.

Our “Wish You Were Here” upgrade option allows virtual guests to watch the ceremony later that same evening. The footage from the ceremony stays online, so the newlyweds can look back on their ceremony anytime they want!

“Let’s Go Barefoot and Elope in Maui”

Ashley & Nathaniel traveled from Kentucky to elope in Maui, and they were ready for an adventure! We had to go off the beaten path to get to this quiet corner of Polo Beach, but it was worth the effort. With bare feet and gorgeous grins, these love birds stood right on the shoreline for their wedding ceremony.

About Our Couple

Ashley is a middle school teacher who loves to bake. Nathaniel helps run a large printing company and also flips properties to rent. Their jobs & hobbies – and their fur baby Bristol – keep this fun-loving pair pretty busy. But they still find time to enjoy food & wine, and simply relax in their apartment or the brewery next door to them.

Ashley says that Nathaniel can be over-the-top, and his proposal proves that! It was an all day affair with surprise after surprise. A Mercedes whisked Ashley away to a horse-and-carriage, where Nathaniel was ready with a ring and a photographer. The winds were too high for the original plan – a helicopter!

Now they have the story of their outrageous/perfect proposal, and their crazy/perfect idea to elope in Maui. Plus all the photos to remember it by!

After Euta pronounced them husband & wife, it was time to enjoy the sunset. The evening had a pastel glow that allowed for dreamy & romantic portraits. Of course you have to get great pictures when you elope in Maui. These two are naturals in front of the camera!

As it began to get dark, we said farewell to these newlyweds and sent them off to dinner. It was such a joy providing their Maui wedding coordination!

Bailey & Greg married at a beautiful Maui Wedding Venue, and we got to coordinate it! They escaped an Iowa heat wave and came to Hawaii for their vacation & wedding. This cool pair would have had an amazing wedding anywhere, but we’re so glad they chose Maui! It was a beautiful evening with a beautiful couple!

A First Look at a Maui Wedding Venue

Bailey & Greg don’t like to be the center of attention, so a smaller micro wedding at a Maui venue fit them perfectly! To ease some of their nerves, they decided to have a first look before their ceremony. They got to spend a few quiet moments together before their wedding began, and it allowed us to get to know them better too.

Cheynice from Karma Hill Photography captured everything from their first look to their cake cutting. She said they could be models for a magazine because they were so photogenic and open to all kinds of fun & creative shots. Hawaiian Traditions

Bailey & Greg included Hawaiian elements in their ceremony. Reverend Richardo blew the conch shell to signify the start of the ceremony, and then he led them in a traditional lei exchange. Manutea Nui E joined us at the Maui wedding venue as well – they provided ukulele music and a graceful hula performance. Their guests will definitely be talking about this ceremony for years to come!

The perfect Maui Wedding Venue

Gannon’s Restaurant in Wailea has a grassy lawn that overlooks the ocean in the distance. It’s a quiet spot that rarely gets any wind, and it’s only steps away from their reception lawn.

Bailey & Greg planned a small reception with the restaurant. Dellables provided floral decor, and the Karma Hill photography team captured photos of their cake cutting. This Maui wedding venue is a great option if you want to keep your ceremony and reception all in one place!

It only takes a couple minutes to drive to the beach from Gannon’s, so the newlyweds got photos with their toes in the sand. The sunset was extra gorgeous that evening. The sky quickly went from a pastel glow to a vibrant orange. We’re in love with all their dreamy photos, and we’re excited to share them with you!

About the Bouquet

Greg was the one who selected the bridal bouquet! With so many bouquet options to choose from, he said Bailey would have taken forever deciding. He chose the Rustic Hawaiian bouquet in a pastel color pallet. Great choice, Greg! It perfectly complemented Bailey’s bridal style and looked great with the tropical scenery at the Maui wedding venue.

There was so much to love about Kendyl & Cole’s wedding in Maui! The Rustic Hawaiian Ruins provided a dreamy setting, perfectly shaded by palm trees and decorated with tropical plants. Their ceremony was made complete with Hawaiian traditions and ukulele music. Their guests had such a great time, but most importantly, Kendyl & Cole were totally in love!

An Engagement and a Wedding in Maui!

These two love birds got engaged at Sweetheart Rock in West Maui, so it was only appropriate that they become husband & wife in Maui too! They are an adventurous couple whose personalities balance each other perfectly.

Simply Excited

Kendyl & Cole had been enjoying a vacation with their guests, and had a honeymoon to look forward to also! They decided not to see each other before their ceremony, so we got to witness Cole’s reaction as he saw Kendyl walking down the aisle.

The drive over to the venue from Kaanapali was stressful for some of the group, as traffic got really bad that day! But they were all smiles as they arrived. They were simply excited to be a part of such a happy event in a beautiful place!

Easy Breezy Wedding in Maui

After the ceremony, we took some photos with their friends & family. The shady & breezy setting at the Rustic Hawaiian Ruins helped keep the guests cool and comfortable during the ceremony and their pictures. After that, the guests headed off to Gannon’s in Wailea, while the newlyweds enjoyed some romantic portraits at the beach.

We’ve been in touch with Kaitlyn & Trevor for almost 2 years. It’s been quite the adventure trying to plan their Maui micro wedding – luckily, this is an adventurous couple! We were supposed to meet them in June 2020, but of course, that didn’t work out. This sweet pair decided to wait another year to get married patiently, and we’re so happy they did!

Joined by a small group of family and friends, Kaitlyn & Trevor were married by Keawakapu beach at the 5 Palms ceremony lawn. It’s a stunning, tropical setting for a Maui micro wedding! Kaitlyn chose a bright, tropical color pallet and had a lei greeting for all their guests. After their sweet ceremony, they brought out champagne for their entire group and shared a first dance right by the ocean. It was the perfect combination of fun and emotional!

From a Mission Trip to a Maui Micro Wedding

Kaitlyn & Trevor have known each other since the 7th grade! Being childhood friends has helped them keep their childlike sense of adventure. They’ll spend a free day simply hopping in the car and seeing where the day takes them. This go-with-the-flow attitude helped keep their spirits up as they navigated an unexpectedly long engagement and planned their Maui micro wedding.

They’ve known each other since middle school, but they didn’t start dating until they were juniors in high school. They connected on a mission trip and kept wanting to hang out even after they returned home. A few months later, they decided to become an official couple. Kaitlyn said it was the best decision they had ever made!

Now they’ve made an even bigger decision – to spend the rest of their lives together! It was a memorable & beautiful Maui micro wedding. We know this picture-perfect pair has a great future together. They are loving, fun, generous, and kind. Exactly what a great couple should be! And we’re grateful to be a part of such an essential moment in their life.
