It was such a pleasure to coordinate Staci and Jimmy’s Hawaii micro wedding! With a fun group of loved ones supporting them and the elegant setting of the Steeple House in Kapalua, it was truly a sweet and intimate ceremony.

With her best girls at her sides, Staci dressed in the bridal suite. Her sister, stepdaughter, and daughter were there to support her and share in her excitement. It was a gorgeous but windy and hot day in Kapalua, so the inside ceremony was the perfect breath of fresh air and intimacy.

Staci’s parents live on Maui, and the Aloha spirit was alive and vivid during this Hawaii micro wedding. The bride’s mother decorated the chairs with leis, and one special seat was left open for Jimmy’s late son. It was a beautiful and sentimental day filled with love and the fragrant breeze of the ocean.

Staci shared their love story with us, and it was so special, we have to share it on our blog. From our bride:
“Our story is special because we met many years ago in junior high. We reconnected through Facebook in 2016. We had not seen each other since high school, so about 25 years. Our love story is one for the books. He took me to Half Moon Bay in June 2020 and surprised me by showing up at the Ritz Carlton for lunch I thought but turned into a walk on the beach. He packed my favorite wine and had a blanket to sit on. It was a beautiful sunny day. I turned to lay the blanket down then turned around and found him on one knee with the box and him asking me to marry him!”
And clearly, she said yes! Keep scrolling for more of this amazing couple!

Mahalo nui loa, Staci and Jimmy, for trusting us to coordinate your Hawaii micro wedding. The day was overflowing with joy, and we wish you all the sunshine and happiness in the years to come!

It was all sunshine and laughter for Liz and Rob’s Maui beach wedding on the white sands of Polo Beach. With Maui holding a special place in their hearts, Liz and Rob knew the island was the perfect place to say “I do.” Read on for more of this special couple and their beautiful day.

Liz was radiant and truly looked like she was walking into a bright and beautiful future. And her future, and happily ever after, was waiting for her wearing a cobalt suit and a smile that said, “Homerun!” Liz and Rob were a joy to work with, and there was no shortage of smiles throughout their ceremony.

After the vows and the kiss that sealed the deal, our couple had their first dance right there on the shore! Then it was time for the family and couple photography of their Maui beach wedding. Rob wanted to capture dynamic and unique photographs, so the team at Karma Hill Photography utilized the lava embankment and glistening shoreline. The result was amazing!

Our bride tells their story: “We met after a baseball game (Diamondbacks vs Cubs) at an Irish pub called Seamus McCaffrey’s. We started talking and realized we had mutual friends. We dated for three years and then the Cubs went to the World Series. We planned a trip out to Chicago and I had got us tickets to one of the games. After the national anthem, he got down on one knee and proposed. It was an electric atmosphere and we celebrated with friends after the game.”
How adorable is that! Keep scrolling for more of this awesome couple!

Congratulations, Liz and Rob! We had a wonderful time coordinating your Maui beach wedding, and we send all of our Aloha and well wishes for the future!

Jodie and Jacy were married last week on the beautiful grounds of the 5 Palms in Wailea. Their Maui venue wedding was bright and airy and filled with love from friends and family. Together since high school, Jodie and Jacy wanted a simple yet beautiful wedding, so they knew the island of their childhood home was the perfect place to say “I do.”

With all their family on the island, Jodie and Jacy tied the knot on the southern coast with the blue Pacific in the backdrop. A bamboo arch with classic white draping and blooms to match the bride’s bouquet served as the perfect frame for this sweet couple.
There was a gentle breeze as our beautiful bride walked down the aisle linking arms with her father. Jodie and Jacy have already come so far in their journey of love with such a solid foundation beneath them. And now this day marked the beginning of their journey in marriage.

Jodie and Jacy were lucky enough to find their true love while they were very young. Together since high school, Jodie and Jacy have an incredible son (this awesome guy!), and love to have fun together. Their idea of a great day out is an adventure at Chuck E Cheese or the Fun Factory! Not only do Jodie and Jacy make a great couple, they also make great parents! There was magic in the air for Lori and Dan’s Maui vow renewal on the beautiful grounds of Olowalu Maluhia. It doesn’t get much better than celebrating 40 years of marriage with an intimate beachfront ceremony! And it was so clear that Lori and Dan are still head over heels in love! Come see all the sweetness!

The Karma Hill Photography Team met up with our bride to capture fun and gorgeous getting-ready photos as she dressed in all her bridal beauty. With her best gals by her side, Lori had the glow of a first-time bride. The room was buzzing with energy and excitement because there was so much to celebrate!

As Lori made her way down the aisle, Dan looked out over the glistening sea. The moment he turned was pure magic. After 40 beautiful years together, these two have built a relationship based on love and commitment, and their glances said everything. This is the love of a lifetime. Under soft sunlight and with palms swaying in the backdrop, Lori and Dan renewed their vows. For these two, it was always, “I do.”

Lori and Dan are blessed with two grown children and four beautiful grandchildren, the light of their lives! We asked how they met and got engaged and Lori replied, “Well the first time was almost 42 years ago! We were 19 and 20 at the time, and he got down on one knee in a beautiful park setting. He re-proposed (surprisingly) at our favorite restaurant, and presented me with a gorgeous new wedding ring! I was stunned!”

Lauren and Ian grew up in the same neighborhood, and their beach elopement in Hawaii was over twenty years in the making! They both dreamed of a destination wedding but hadn’t truly considered Hawaii until the pandemic made traveling difficult. Enter the wedding of a lifetime on the sandy, tropical shore!

Reverend Kirkman began the ceremony with the traditional conch as Lauren graced the shore. Just as when Lauren and Ian first laid eyes on each other so many years ago, it was clear that fate brought them to this moment. Lauren looked stunning in a boho gown and her hair in a loose plait. We love how our couple’s classic attire paired against the rustic shore. A final blow of the conch announced their first kiss as husband and wife, and the magic was tangible!

Neither remembers when Ian first moved next door, but it was somewhere between the ages of nine and twelve. While they first did their own things due to an age difference, the attraction was always there. It wasn’t until college, when they returned home, that they found their soulmate connection. Life brought them together and took them apart, but when the time was right, they realized it was meant to be.

During a photo session, Ian got down on one knee to ask the big question. It was the perfect moment and Lauren’s reaction was captured forever on film! Keep scrolling for our couple’s gorgeous beach elopement in Hawaii!

It was our pleasure to help Nicole and Mark elope in Maui. With a big ceremony out of the question, our couple had a simple yet elegant elopement just last week. It was the perfect way to tie the knot in the heart of paradise.

The ceremony took place on the white sands of Southside Beach. Nicole and Mark arrived separately and that first look was pure magic. As Nicole stepped onto the beach, her beauty and smile were radiant! She said she was nervous, but you couldn’t tell with a glow like that! Mark turned to see his bride and it felt like we were getting a glimpse of their future. Nothing but love!

When choosing to elope in Maui, Nicole and Mark knew they wanted to have beautiful photos to share with loved ones back home. Karma Hill Photography went above and beyond to capture the love and magic on their special day. In addition to photos, Nicole and Mark also had stunning footage captured by Gaucho Visual so friends and family could relive each moment with them.

After the ceremony, Nicole and Mark shared a first dance to a song only they could hear. With a phone tucked into his jacket pocket, Mark pressed play and held his new wife close as they swayed to the melody. It was intimate and oh so romantic.

Nicole and Mark met while working together, but because they were in different offices, they had to make it work long-distance. Until one day when Nicole realized Mark was the one and uprooted to move to St. Petersburg to be with him and his three incredible sons!
Nicole and Mark were engaged during a sail in Key Largo, Florida. Mark got down on his knee during sunset, and, of course, Nicole said yes! And now our couple eloped on the beach and spent the first few moments as husband and wife beneath the Maui sunset. Keep scrolling for more!

Thank you, Nicole and Mark, for choosing us to help you elope in Maui! You rocked it! We wish you all the joy in the future!

Nadya and Jacob’s Maui beach wedding featured glowing love, a joyous family, and a sunset that dreams are made of! Set on the shore of Polo Beach, this beautiful ceremony was the perfect meld of sophistication and the wild tropics. And we just couldn’t get enough of our couple’s adorable little girls! There’s so much we’re excited to share!

Jacob waited patiently as he faced the ocean and awaited the beginning of the marriage to the love of his life. When Nadya stepped out, he couldn’t contain his happiness. Nadya was simply stunning in a couture gown with hand-embroidered beading and carrying a custom cascading bouquet of orchids and tropical greenery. What an entrance!

Reverend Kuya officiated with warmth and grace, and soon it was time for the big kiss to seal the deal! Nadya and Jacob celebrated their first few minutes as husband and wife among loved ones and with their sweet daughters in their arms. As the daylight faded away, a vivid sunset of bursting hues stretched across the sky. It was the perfect ending to a perfect day.

Like some of the best love stories, Nadya and Jacob met in high school. They work together in Nadya’s family’s construction business and have two beautiful children together.
Since the beginning of their relationship, Jacob felt marriage wasn’t in their future because it was the love that mattered, not the documents. And there is no question that Nadya and Jacob have endless love for each other! But one day, he changed his mind, and last summer he surprised Nadya with a ring and a very important question! The rest is right here on our blog!

With hearts full of love, Meagan and Chris married last week at a Beach Wedding in Maui. We loved working with this sweet couple, and their ceremony was a dream! The calm Hawaii water and light gold sand offered the perfect setting to say “I-Do”. Reverend Kuya led them in a heartfelt ceremony that included both Hawaiian and religious elements. Check out some of the photos from their Maui Beach Wedding!

Meagan & Chris are originally from the same Alabama town, but these days they call Florida home. They had known of each other for a while, but didn’t connect until 2016 when Meagan almost ran into him on the drive to work one morning. Uh oh! Good thing it was just a near-miss, AND it gave Chris the perfect excuse to get in touch with her!
Finally in 2020, these two got engaged! They had a hard time finding the perfect venue until they started considering a destination wedding. Once they started dreaming of getting away, they realized a Beach Wedding in Maui was the perfect option for them! We’re so glad we got to coordinate a great wedding for such a sweet couple!

Meagan & Chris came to Oahu together back in 2017, but this was their first time coming to Maui. A destination wedding in Maui was such a great way to begin the next chapter of their life together. Their happiness was contagious as they shared their vows and finally became husband & wife!
And there’s still so much to look forward to in 2021! We hope to see them on Maui again as their family continues to grow!

Congratulations, Megan & Chris! We are so excited for you and grateful for this chance to work with you!!

Judging from their bright and airy Maui beach elopement, you’d never guess that Megan and Russel love all things spooky! This amazing couple was married last week on the shore of Baldwin Beach with a peachy sunset and all the beautiful smiles! We were thrilled to be able to coordinate their big day!

To showcase their personalities, our couple wore unique outfits that perfectly melded with the Hawaiian shore. We love how Megan’s Rustic Hawaiian Bouquet adds a bold dash of the tropics and pairs beautifully with her delicate flower crown. Russel looked fantastic in a traditional suit with a splash of blue.
Reverend Kuya officiated the ceremony, and Gaucho Visual broadcasted the event live to friends and family back home with our “Wish You Were Here” package. It was the perfect way to bridge an elopement into a celebration with loved ones.

Megan and Russel told us such a fun story about how they met, that we want to share it with you! From our bride: “We were actually set up on a trip to Hollywood Studios during the Halloween Horror Nights Fest. His sister (one of my best friends) and her friend tried to get us to meet for the longest time, but it never worked out–either I was sick or bailed, or he was busy. After we met, we went on a few dates to haunted houses coupled with mini-golf and roller coasters, and became inseparable.”

“It probably sounds silly, but we love standing in lines together because it’s so reminiscent of when we met. As for our engagement, we planned a trip together to the coast where my family has a ragged old cabin that hasn’t been touched since the 70s, and hands down one of our favorite places in the world. Before the trip, I hand-painted a puzzle to look like the scene in The Shining when the doors open in the hotel, and painted backwards “Will you marry me?” Clearly, he said yes.”
How amazing are these two?! Keep scrolling for more!

With neither one of them wanting to plan a large ceremony, Genevieve & Paul were considering a simple wedding in the courthouse but opted for a Hawaii elopement instead. And it was truly beautiful! Set on the shore of Po’olenalena, this ceremony was golden and relaxing.

It was a vibrant day and Genevieve & Paul were clearly excited to be married. Wearing classic styles that perfectly complemented their breezy ceremony, our couple could not stop smiling and taking in the view of the ocean — and of each other! Reverend Richardo officiated the ceremony, and soon the finances became husband and wife!

Genevieve & Paul are the sort of couple that just go with the flow. What matters is being together and forming memories in each other’s company. Genevieve & Paul were engaged in the most simple way. Paul asked Genevieve to marry him as she was getting out of the shower. She was definitely surprised, but she said yes!
Together, Genevieve & Paul love to spend time with friends. Camping, jetskiing, practically anything outdoors makes them happy! They met in 2008 while working together at the mall at Journeys shoe store. Now they have two adorable kitties together and enjoy simply relaxing and watching basketball games. Kelley and Joe’s micro wedding in Hawaii was full of love and gorgeous views of the southern coast of Maui. Gannon’s grassy knoll served as the venue, and flowering bougainvillea decorated the backdrop. A rustic seaside arch was the perfect frame for Kelly and Joe, a couple in love with a history built on understanding and new beginnings.

Kelley wore a simple yet elegant gown with a frontal slit and a classic silhouette. As she walked down the aisle in her father’s arm, she looked more than just beautiful. She looked like a woman walking into a bright and loving future. We know that’s true because her future is Joe! One glance at his sweet expression says it all. This is love.

After the “I do’s” it was time to celebrate with family portraits! With smiles and cheers, this group was clearly excited to see Kelley and Joe tie the knot. And then it was time for Karma Hill Photography to sweep our couple away to the beachside for sunset shots! Keep scrolling!

Like many of our amazing couples, this isn’t Kelley or Joe’s first marriage. But what sets these two apart is that this isn’t their first time tying the knot to each other! Kelley and Joe met in 2008 and were married in 2010. When the first marriage didn’t work out, they took some time to grow and then realized they were blessed with true love the entire time.
When the second engagement came around, Joe told Kelley it was her turn to ask the question. So of course, she did! And now here they are, facing the future together in a strong marriage built on love and officiated during a gorgeous micro wedding in Hawaii!

To celebrate and honor ten years together, Yuki and Tom reached out to us to coordinate their vow renewal in Maui. The weather at Ironwoods beach was soft and dreamy, with a light breeze blowing up from the sea. With their young son and a handful of loved ones in attendance, this beautiful vow renewal was an ocean of love.

We love vow renewals because they’re built upon a solid foundation, and the years of love and kindness reflect in our couple. Yuki entered the sandy shore carrying our Anuenue bouquet of bright blooms that perfectly popped against the sand and her elegant white gown. Led in by her sweet son, Yuki looked phenomenal in a simple silhouette with her hair in loose waves. Then it was time for our couple to exchange their vows and renew their marriage on the sands of Hawaii.

Following the ceremony, Yuki, Tom, their son, and Tom’s mother gently tossed flowers into the sea in honor of Tom’s late father. It was beautiful, and even with the breeze, every flower glided gracefully into the sea.

When they were ready, our couple explored the sandy shore as Karma Hill Photography captured gorgeous couple’s portraits against the sunset backdrop.

From the bride: “We met through mutual friends. We were both in other relationships at the time so we just became really good friends. A few years later, we were both single, and we realized we had a connection that we couldn’t deny, so we went out on our first date to a Chicago Bulls game. The timing in our lives just aligned perfectly.”
“We got engaged in Maui on Ka’anapali beach. We were walking back from having dinner at Leilani’s on the Beach and walked along the beach returning to our resort when Tom proposed during sunset. We got engaged in May 2010, married in July 2011, and honeymooned in Maui in Sept 2011. As you can see, Maui is very special to us. Now we will have our 10-year renewal in Maui.”
