Kaite and Jackson’s Maui Micro Wedding was flooded with the prettiest pastel lighting that perfectly encapsulated their gentle love. They say “perfect” is impossible, but set on Gannon’s ceremonial knoll with an exquisite view of south Maui, Kaitlin and Jackson’s special day was nothing short of perfection. 

The Maui Micro Wedding 

The ceremony began with the sacred blowing of the conch and the grand entrance of our beautiful bride. Jackson’s expression as he laid eyes on his bride was everything love is made of. Wearing a form-fitting gown by Mestads with delicate details and a sweeping veil, Kaite gave the Maui sun a run for the title of Most Luminous. 

After the ceremony, the wedding party encircled Kaite and Jackson as they listened to the voice of a very special singer. Unable to attend their wedding, Kaitlin’s father prerecorded a beautiful original song. He was part of her Maui Micro Wedding in spirit and in melody.

Having to delay their original wedding due to COVID, Kaite’s father inscribed this song last year and kept it secret until that very moment. It was beyond special to have such a beautiful and sentimental blessing. Follow along for more precious moments!

Our Couple’s Story

Kaite and Jackson live in Minnesota where Kaite works as an RN and Jackson is in sales. They met three and a half years ago when their Maid of Honor set them up on a blind date at an ice cream shop. The date was sweet but far from cold! Jackson later proposed on the balcony of that very shop! We can not get over how gorgeous these two look on the white sands of Southside beach!

Jill and Eric met playing soccer in San Francisco, and little did they know that the end goal had nothing to do with a net and everything to do with a Maui Beach Elopement! Ironwoods set the stage with rocky outcroppings and the deep, wild shores of Maui’s west side. With luminous lighting and plenty of sweet embraces, this wedding day is a must-see!

The Maui Beach Elopement

Beneath the endless Maui sky, Reverend Richardo led the ceremony with wise Hawaiian adages. The ocean sent its sounds of Aloha while Jill and Eric held gazes as they exchanged leis and wedding rings. Read on to see our couple joined in marriage and celebrating with a first kiss.

You know, just the ordinary first kiss in front of a spectacular ocean view with powder-soft sands beneath your feet, the Maui sun on your shoulders, and the towering cliffs of Ironwoods beach in the backdrop. Nothing to write home about… Seriously though, how incredible is this Maui Beach Elopement! 

Following the ceremony, we escorted Jill and Eric around the premises to capture all those luscious dynamic shots Ironwoods is known for. We loved how Jill’s gorgeous dress blended ever-so-perfectly with the rustic ocean hues.

Designed by her own mother, Jill’s turquoise ombre gown with floral overlay looks like it was sewn from the sea. Having designed three out of four of her daughters’ wedding dresses, Jill’s mother knows her way around Big Day drapery! What a special way to be a part of the before process as well as the actual ceremony. Well done, Mom!

Our Couple’s Story

Jill owns a baking company that specializes in homemade-style desserts. She bakes desserts & designs dessert tables for weddings and everyday life events. Eric is an engineer at Stripe for a company in San Francisco. They have a dog named Finley who they adore and spend most of their free time with. Jill and Eric met while playing on the same recreational soccer team in San Francisco.

It took TWO years before they began talking, but it didn’t take long after that for the romance to brew! Their relationship started with emails from Jill giving Eric pro marathon running tips, and after a run together with friends, their relationship blossomed (or maybe, in this case, it took off with a sprint!). Together for seven years, Lynnsy & Ian were filled with emotion during their Maui Venue Wedding. On the manicured lawn of the 5 Palms in Wailea, guests watched on as our sweet couple did what they’ve been destined to do–join their lives and hearts through marriage. The Maui Venue Wedding

The day was slightly overcast, but when Lynnsy stepped out onto the aisle, it was as if she was lit from within, practically glowing with love! Wearing a boho-inspired gown by Sherri Hill and holding a Rustic Hawaiian Bouquet of island blooms, Lynnsy is a vision.

With the Maui tradewinds gently guiding her forward, she walked up to the love of her life, and they were both overcome with emotion. It was clear that Lynnsy and Ian aren’t only marrying the love of their life, they’re marrying their other half.

Lynnsy and Ian met in high school, but there’s some debate on exactly how long they’ve been dating. Was it the prom, or do the hangouts with friends count? All we know is there won’t be any debate on exactly how long they’ve been married! Their beautiful Maui venue wedding was one week ago to the day this blog was posted! Last year, Ian brought Lynnsy up to Mt. Davis, the highest point in Pennsylvania, and there he got down on his knee and asked her to marry him. With the craziness of the pandemic, all Katherine and José wanted for their union was a relaxing and simple Maui Destination Wedding with their closest friends and family. We were thrilled to help Katherine and José turn their dream into reality all while keeping it easy and breezy, so they could just sit back and enjoy their Hawaii vacation!

Overlooking the panoramic view of Keawakapu Beach, 5 Palms Restaurant is a spectacular location choice for a Maui destination wedding. With a manicured ceremonial lawn that melds the atmosphere of a beach wedding with the perks of a venue, guests like Katherine and José’s fantastic crew can watch the “I do’s” while sitting comfortably. And what a great view they had! How cute are Katherine and José’s smiles?!

Our Couple’s Story

Katherine and José met during their senior year in high school–in Mrs. Mendoza’s Spanish class, to be more specific. Although they were young, it was true amor, and they’ve been together now for over a decade! José works as a Biotech Sales Representative and Katherine works as an HR representative for a dermatological company in California. They have two fur babies named Simon and Sol, who they absolutely love and look forward to introducing to their future children.

Just before the world closed down in 2020, Katherine and José took a trip to Thailand. On the shore of a spectacular beach in Phuket, José asked the big question, and Katherine, of course, said yes! With only their adorable 20-month-old son in attendance, Hannah and Colby’s Hawaii Beach Elopement was filled to the brim with love and sunshine! On the shore of Poʻolenalena Beach, the weather was textbook “tropical goodness,” with soft skies and warm ocean breezes. It was truly a blessing to work with Hannah and Colby and their sweet son EJ to make this special day a reality. 

The Hawaii Beach Elopement Ceremony 

In quite possibly the cutest entrance we’ve ever seen, baby EJ walked Hannah down the aisle (with a little help from Mom, of course). Wearing a form-fitting gown with bead threading and a mermaid-flair train, Hannah even had the Maui ocean temporarily pausing in its tracks. We loved her beachy hairstyle with a floral demi-circle to match her rustic Hawaiian bouquet.

Sporting a beige jacket and a cabana print button-up by Ralph Lauren, Colby looks right at home against the backdrop of palm trees and sweeping ocean views. And of course, in a blue coral-themed shirt and adorable rolled up pants to match his dad, EJ is the perfect little guest of honor. We love how professional he was in his role! How cute is that face?!

Our Couple’s Story 

Hannah has her doctorate in psychology and has been taking a much-needed break to raise their sweet toddler. She recently accepted a position to work with kids with behavioral needs at the Yellowstone Academy in their home state of Montana!

Colby is a public affairs specialist for the US Department of Interior. He’s also studied media, produced short films, and worked as a photojournalist and video producer for the US Navy. His work has been published by news outlets like CNN and last year made the cover of The Economist Magazine!

Hannah and Colby’s “meet cute” is one of the best we’ve heard! Colby was visiting his brother-in-law’s tattoo shop when his brother-in-law snapped a photo of Colby and posted it on his own Facebook page. He told all of his followers that Colby was available and looking for love, and those interested should stop by the shop!

And who should walk through the door first but Hannah herself! She admits to seeing the post beforehand but SWEARS she had an appointment. She walked in expecting a tattoo on the skin and left with one on her heart as well. Beautiful impressions like these last a lifetime. Keep scrolling for more of this sweet family!

Imagine driving up to your Hawaii Venue Wedding in the MogWest version of the Morgan 3-wheeler, dressed to the nines, and with friends and family cheering you on. That’s exactly how Milorose and Kenji made their entrance! Does it get much cooler?! Together on the lawn of Gannon’s Restaurant in Wailea, Milorose and Kenji celebrated their love through marriage. This one is a must-see! 

The Hawaii Venue Wedding 

Following their roaring entrance, Milorose and Kenji stood together on the ceremonial lawn, with only south Maui’s sweeping views as their backdrop. Dressed in a two-piece gown with a lace crop-top, chiffon skirt, and a beachy up-do, Milorose easily outshone the posh designer cruiser!

Looking sleek himself, Kenji’s three-piece linen suit in aquamarine paired elegantly with his bride’s unique gown. With a Hawaii venue wedding ten years in the making, the emotions were running high. Keep scrolling for the sweet reactions! 

Following the “I do’s”, we had to have one more look at that cruiser. Then, of course, a first dance on the shoreline! We took the short trip to Southside Beach with Milorose and Kenji, and there they celebrated with twirling, laughter, and a whole lot of gorgeous sunset shots!  

Our Couple’s Story

Milorose works in consumer lending, while Kenji owns a bike shop. They love to bike, hike, and do anything outdoorsy. Their love story began when a mutual friend introduced them at a club while Kenji was working as a promoter.

Within months, the relationship was official, but it wasn’t until ten years later that Kenji booked a romantic hotel suite getaway and got down on his knee. Milorose mused, “Took him a while but he did it!” And in the end, that’s all that matters! It’s so clear that Milorose and Kenji have an unbreakable love that will last an eternity.

Casey and Logan both work for an Infinity car dealership, with Logan working as a technician and Casey as a service advisor. When Erin made her entrance, John’s ecstatic expression was hard to miss! Our own Reverend Kuya even offered a fist bump in celebration of the union. It’s hard not to be joyous when you’re surrounded by the magic of the island, but add in the love of your life, and it’s pure elation! 

Our Couple’s Story

Erin is a dental hygienist and John is a personal trainer and health coach. In their free time, you can find these two traveling, exercising, hiking, or cuddling with their golden retriever Leo. Erin and John attended the same high school, but didn’t end up meeting each other until after graduating college–love is tricky like that! 

John proposed in March of last year, right around his birthday. He told Erin they were going out to dinner with just his family. But of course, that was only half of it! John had secretly invited her family to witness the proposal. And, as they say, the rest is history!

Lisa and James confess that they “Love, love, LOVE Maui!” So, of course, they wanted to tie the knot with a Maui elopement! Ironwoods beach was the original plan, but rain was in the forecast, so we decided to relocate to the friendly skies of Lahaina Shores. With boats speckling the horizon and swaying palms in the backdrop, this Maui elopement was filled with beauty and a strong sense of unity. 

Our Couple’s Story

Lisa is a semi-retired banker, and James is a jack of all trades, working as an electrician and owning both real estate and a restaurant. Their marriage ties together two families, Lisa’s three girls and James’ son, daughter, and granddaughter. These two have plenty to smile about!

Lisa and James chose a Maui elopement because it was a natural choice. As we said earlier, they simply LOVE the island! So much so, that they even bought a condo! Consider the honeymoon lodgings covered!

After a special proposal in 2020, Erica and Brian wanted something small, and since they were heading to the island already, they thought “Why not a beach wedding in Maui!” We think they made a great decision! Po’olenalena Beach features a seemingly endless stretch of golden sand. When it comes to the rich hues of a truly golden shore, it doesn’t get much better than Po’olenalena. Situated on the island’s southern coast, this beach is perfect for both morning and sunset weddings. With a panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean and plenty of natural features for photo opportunities, Po’olenalena is the perfect backdrop for a big day. Just look at how vibrant Erica and her father look on the shoreline! 

Our Couple’s Story

Erica is a territory manager for an insurance company, and Brian works as a painting contractor. They love cuddling with their pitbull Layla and traveling the world to see new places. They recently put a pin on their map when they visited the Key West during the fall of 2020.

While they were at the Southernmost Point of the continental US, with 50 people in the line behind them waiting to see the landmark, Brain dropped down to one knee and opened the ring box. When telling the story, Erica said, “I. WAS. SHOCKED. It’s hard to surprise me, but mission accomplished!” Luckily a kind stranger in the line behind them captured it all on camera! Jessica and Darin said “I do” with a Hawaii Venue Wedding at the 5 Palms in Wailea. Rain is a sacred blessing in Hawaii, and when it graces your wedding day, it’s said to represent a lush and strong marriage. The covered lanai at the 5 Palms served as a gorgeous indoor venue with bungalow-inspired architecture and a sweeping view of the Pacific Ocean. After Maui sent her blessing, the sun peaked out and Jessica and Darin had their first dance as a married couple right there on the beach!  

Our Couple’s Story

Our couple met eight years ago through work, with Darin working as a graphic designer and Jessica as an Executive Assistant. Maui is a special place for Jessica and Darin–after all, it’s where they took their first vacation together! It’s little wonder why they chose Maui to be the location for their Hawaii venue wedding. There’s even been talk of settling down on the island, to which we say… Aloha! 

When the time was right, Jessica and Darin became engaged by the river at his parents’ home. You can find them relaxing and enjoying themselves here nearly every other weekend. Jessica and Robert’s Maui Beach Elopement graced the powder-soft sands of Ironwoods Beach in Kapalua. Dynamic cloud coverage created soft lighting that cast the ceremony in dreamy tones of peaches and cream. With a beautiful couple and an endless love between them, this special day was flooded with positivity and those magical “Just Maui’d” vibes. 

The Maui Elopement Beach Location

When you’re looking for take-your-breath-away backdrops, it doesn’t get better than Ironwoods Beach. Tucked away on the island’s west coast, Ironwoods features plunging cliffs and spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean. This locale is truly “epic” in the most traditional definition of the word. What could possibly be more awe-inspiring than the beat of the ocean against the cliffside? Well, maybe we can think of something… Jessica and Robert’s love story! The deep looks and smiles shared between these two say everything. 

What They Wore 

Draped in an illusion-back gown by Jenny Yoo Elinor, Jessica is absolutely radiant. We love the subtle eye-contours of applique floral designs. With a cathedral train that elegantly drifts over the sandy shore and a flower crown in pastel hues to match her rustic Hawaiian bouquet, Jessica is an effortless beauty.
