Their elopement at Po’olenalena Beach was a quiet kind of breathtaking. No stress, no dramatic timelines, just joy, nature, and love in its purest form. Honestly? That’s the magic of Hawaii. Akasha looked stunning, like she’d walked straight out of a bridal dream. Her dress flowed like sea foam and caught the wind just right, while her floral crown (because of course) was the perfect tropical exclamation point. Enis looked equally sharp, but it was the way he looked at her that did us in. You know the look. That “how did I get so lucky?” kind of look.

Their ceremony was filled with warmth and connection, barefoot joy, and a sweet nod to tradition. We loved seeing their guests gathered in aloha prints and smiles, soaking in the moment like sunlight.

After their sweet and heartfelt ceremony, Akasha and Enis stepped away for just a little while, just the two of them, the golden Maui light, and our camera trying to keep up with the ridiculous level of newlywed glow they were radiating.

They walked hand-in-hand down the shoreline at Po’olenalena Beach, waves curling playfully at their feet, with the sun casting that warm, cinematic light Maui does so well. You could tell they were fully in the moment, laughing, whispering, stealing kisses like they forgot the camera was even there (which, honestly, is the best kind of newlywed portrait session). Our styled shoot at Outrigger Ka’anapali Beach Resort wedding venue kicked off with our bride getting ready in one of their newly remodeled rooms, adorned in tranquil ocean-inspired tones — the perfect setting to start the day!. Talk about setting the mood! The beautiful bridal attire was provided by Maui’s Best bridal shop Elly’s Formal Wear, they have the best staff and a gorgeous selection of dresses and suits.

Not only is she drop-dead stunning (I mean, come on), but she’s also a total powerhouse—model, beauty queen, mom of four AND part of the magic-making team at Salon 253 Bride.

She did her own flawless makeup and had her beachy waves styled by none other than Adiel, the salon’s incredible founder.

Now, let’s talk about the vibe—because it’s good. Like, really good.

You might already know and love the Outrigger Kaʻanapali Beach Resort… even if you didn’t realize it. That’s because this gem was formerly the beloved Kaʻanapali Beach Hotel, affectionately known as “Maui’s Most Hawaiian Hotel.” And while it’s had a bit of a glow-up under new ownership, don’t worry—the heart and soul of the place is still gloriously Hawaiian. And that’s what makes it such a standout among wedding venues Maui has to offer—it’s not just pretty (though it really, really is); it’s meaningful.

While actual beach weddings aren’t allowed here (thanks to state permitting rules—we know, womp womp), this venue location in Maui gives you all the beauty without breaking any laws. Win-win!

And get this: our officiant Charles Nahale wasn’t just all talk—he kept the crowd entertained with live music that made everything feel instantly joyful.

We got a little of everything that day—sunshine, soft rain, and yes, full-on rainbows.

Post-ceremony, we wandered through the lush, tropical grounds to snap portraits under towering palms and old growth trees.

And while we couldn’t follow the couple down to the beach (due to permit laws—we’re nothing if not rule-followers), they took a romantic stroll along the shoreline with pastel skies above them while our photographers stayed on the resort grounds with a zoom lens and captured the Kaanapali sunset vibe.

Worried about rain? The Beach House has you covered—literally! The venue includes a charming covered deck, ensuring that your ceremony can proceed smoothly even if the weather is less than perfect. Having this backup plan built into the venue is a huge plus for couples planning an outdoor wedding in Maui.

Wedding Venue Considerations

While The White Orchid Beach House offers a stunning and intimate setting, there are a few logistical considerations to note:

• Parking Limitations: The venue only allows six guest vehicles, so if your guest count exceeds 15, a private shuttle service is required (not included in the package). Street parking is strictly prohibited and monitored by a parking attendant.
• Uber and Lyft are Not Available: Due to the remote location, ride-sharing services like Uber and Lyft are not available. It’s important to plan transportation in advance.
• Limited Cell Service: Cell phone reception is limited at the venue, though Wi-Fi is available for connectivity needs.
• Availability: This venue is available for weddings Monday through Thursday at the current package rate. Weekend bookings are possible with an additional fee. (Visit our packages page for full details.)

Bridal Suite for Pre-Ceremony Prep
Included in the site fee is access to the venue’s delightful bridal suite, where you can change into your wedding attire before the ceremony. Another great aspect of getting ready together is being able to share in each other’s nerves and excitement. Your partner can calm any pre-wedding jitters or offer words of encouragement as you get dressed and ready for the ceremony. You can add on our sparkling cider toast option or cake and toast option at this venue, it’s a great way to put a little tradition into your ceremony and especially if you are going to a nice sit down dinner nearby after your ceremony, allows for these moments to be photographed at your beautiful ceremony site while you have your photographer there.

Do you believe in fate? Well, in our line of work of coordinating Maui venue weddings, we do! Because fate intervened in Sara and Ben’s meeting as you’ll see! Meeting at church in middle school, they dated briefly in high school before life took them in different directions. Ben joined the military, while Sara pursued a nursing career. About ten years ago, they reconnected and have been inseparable ever since, dating for the past six years!

Sara, a neonatal nurse practitioner in San Antonio, had been to Oahu before, but this was the first trip to Maui for both her and Ben, who works in the insurance field. Sara’s aunt and uncle, long-time Maui visitors, sold them on the island’s beauty and magic, and it became the perfect setting for their Maui venue wedding! It was an aloha-filled day with color and love as you’ll see below!

Their wedding ceremony was held at a stunning tropical gem, the Rustic Hawaiian Ruins, surrounded by lush greenery and vibrant blooms. The atmosphere was filled with tropical abundance and color, creating a beautiful and joyous setting. The vibrant colors and fruit elevated their tropical ceremony don’t you think?! Friends and family were overjoyed to be there, sharing in the love and light that radiated throughout the day.

Maika and Yusuke’s Maui venue wedding day at Wailea Beach Resort was a glorious celebration of love, laughter, and new beginnings. Their story began in Tokyo, where they met while working at a new hotel. Despite being in different departments, their paths crossed, and they quickly became good friends. Friendship blossomed into romance, and after living together for 1.5 years, Yusuke proposed on Maika’s birthday, marking the start of their beautiful journey together! We couldn’t be happier to share their beautiful day!

Yusuke, a pastry chef from Kyoto, has traveled and worked in Toronto, Paris, Doha, Bali, and now Japan. His easygoing nature perfectly complements Maika, who is from Tokyo and has lived in San Diego, Maui, and Dallas. Together, they love watching movies, cooking, and enjoying the simple pleasures of life. Sounds perfect right?
