Last week we coordinated Natsuko & Derek’s Maui venue wedding, and today we get to share some of their photos! It was a beautiful morning at Merriman’s with a wonderful couple — the kind of wedding we live for.
With a small group of loved ones surrounding them, Natsuko & Derek exchanged vows, shared Hawaii lei, and became Husband & Wife. We loved every moment of their heartfelt ceremony, and their portraits are amazing.

Our Words and Our Truth
This Maui Venue Wedding was so surreal in the best way: the calm blue waters, the couple’s romantic energy, and the unbeatable weather you’ll find on a sunny Maui morning.
Merriman’s provided a quiet lawn for Natsuko & Derek’s ceremony. The restaurant overlooks Kapalua Bay and features swaying palm trees and lush landscaping. The couple has such a calm yet engaging presence, so marrying on our peaceful island was the perfect fit.
Reverend Joe led Natsuko & Derek in their vows and offered a Hawaiian blessing over them. Karma Hill Photography was there capturing it all, from the bride’s grand entrance to their emotional vows to their joyous pronouncement.
Remembering The Romance at a Maui Venue Wedding
Once Natsuko & Derek had become officially married, it was time for their couples photo shoot with Karma Hill Photography. This was their chance to unwind and enjoy the beauty all around them, plus take in all their blissful newlywed joy.
We love seeing couples’ personalities shine during their Maui Venue Wedding. Natsuko & Derek were up for anything — romantic kisses in the glowing morning sun, an adventurous walk to the rocky shoreline, playful laughter that fills each image with energy. We are here for it!
Soon it was time to bid aloha to this darling duo. They were ready to start celebrating at their reception, and their guests were excited to catch up with them. So we got in a few final photos and sent them on their way.
We all still had something to look forward to, though: this moment when we get to share their Maui venue wedding photography!
