You, Me & Maui – Adellena & Joshua’s Maui Venue Wedding
If you could sum up Adellena and Josh’s Maui venue wedding in three words, they’d be: relaxed, joyful, unforgettable. Their wedding at Merriman’s was the perfect blend of love, laughter, and the easy, playful vibe they wanted for their newly blended family.
Adellena, a Nurse Anesthesiologist, and Josh, a consultant for Accenture, met on a dating app almost three years ago. Since then, they’ve built a life filled with golf outings, ski trips, wine tastings, and plenty of time with their kids—Nixon (11), Natalie (14), and Caroline (11). For them, travel is a love language, good food is a necessity, and family is everything.
Josh proposed during a snowy walk on a frozen lake in Breckenridge. This adventure was equal parts romantic and slightly risky (frozen lakes aren’t exactly in the proposal handbook, but hey, it worked)! So without further delay, keep reading to see their big day unfold!
Coming Together
Their Maui venue wedding at Merriman’s was all about keeping things simple and meaningful. By the water, with waves providing the soundtrack and the horizon stretching endlessly behind them, they exchanged vows that were as much about their kids as they were about each other. After the ceremony, the light turned golden, and the newlyweds were joined with their family and friends, soaking in every moment. The kids joined in for photos that were full of personality, hugs, grins, and those little candid moments that show how much love lives here.
After their intimate ceremony, they wandered down to the beach for golden-hour newlywed portraits. The light was pure magic, soft, warm, and glowing, wrapping around them as they laughed, embraced, and soaked in their first moments as husband and wife. Those portraits were everything they wanted their wedding to be: playful, beautiful, and completely real.
Adellena and Josh wanted something fun, easy, and full of heart. That’s exactly what Maui gave them: the ocean breeze, the glow of the setting sun, and a celebration that felt entirely like them!
