Rena & Masashi’s Maui Destination Wedding at Seaside Chapel
Some love stories start with a swipe and end with a Maui destination wedding overlooking one of the most beautiful stretches of ocean in the world. Rena and Masashi traveled all the way from Tokyo, Japan, but their story began much more simply through a dating app and four years of growing closer together.
Masashi’s proposal already sounded like something straight out of a movie, literally. He reserved a private theater and surprised Rena with a video filled with their favorite memories before asking her to marry him. So it felt perfectly fitting that their wedding day at the Seaside Chapel at Grand Wailea was just as cinematic.
Bright stained glass windows framed the chapel, soft tropical light filled the space, and as they stood together at the altar surrounded by loved ones, the moment felt quietly magical.
One of the most striking details from their Maui destination wedding was their timeless all white style. Masashi looked incredibly sharp in his white suit while Rena’s gown felt elegant and refined, especially with her delicate gloves and the beautiful accessories that perfectly matched the lace details of her dress. Even her earrings echoed the intricate patterns of the gown, tying everything together in the most thoughtful way. After the ceremony, the celebration moved outside where the palm trees, sparkling pools, and bright blue ocean created the dreamiest backdrop for portraits. Every photo felt joyful, romantic, and effortlessly stylish, which felt exactly like Rena and Masashi themselves.
