From Friendship to Forever: Rick & Navy’s Maui Venue Wedding
Some love stories take their time, unfolding slowly and beautifully until the moment feels just right. And Rick and Navy’s is exactly that kind of story. They first met back in 2004 while working together in retail, where friendship came first and love followed years later. Seven years ago, they finally took the leap from coworkers to soulmates, and when Rick proposed over dinner in Canada this past March, it set the stage for the most beautiful new chapter, their Maui venue wedding.
Held at the Royal Lahaina Resort, their ceremony was intimate and heartfelt, the kind that makes you believe in love all over again. They stood together on the lawn, surrounded by the island’s lush beauty and ocean views that stretched endlessly behind them. The Hawaiian breeze seemed to pause in reverence as they said their vows, their words filled with gratitude, joy, and quiet certainty….

They looked absolutely stunning, Navy glowing with happiness and Rick beaming with pride. Their three children were there too, making it not just a wedding but a celebration of family, laughter, and togetherness.
The resort’s oceanfront lawn offered the perfect mix of privacy and breathtaking views, creating a serene and romantic setting for their vows. With the Pacific stretching endlessly behind them, and the soft sound of the waves nearby, it felt like their own little corner of paradise. One of the best things about this venue is how effortlessly it combines the best of both world, a secluded, elegant setting with easy beach access for stunning portraits just steps away.
Afterward, they wandered down to the beach and around the property for portraits. The sunset bathed everything in golden light, making their joy shine even brighter. Every photo radiated warmth, connection, and that unmistakable Maui magic. The softness of the sunset glow made their portraits feel so timeless and radiant. That’s the beauty of a Maui venue wedding: you have the privacy and natural beauty of the island all around you. This was a private moment for just the two of them to savor before they went off to celebrate!
