Some love stories feel sun-soaked from the very beginning! And Chris and Jessie’s Maui venue wedding is absolutely one of them. She loves tropical warmth, he loves the ocean and glowing sunsets, and together they chose Maui because, as they put it, nothing beats its beauty. And honestly? They were right.

They first met online through a Christian dating app. Just two hearts guided quietly toward each other in a way that felt intentional and steady. Chris later proposed on a boat at sunset in Lake Tahoe, a golden, cinematic moment that perfectly matched the romance of what was to come. Jessie, a NICU nurse with the softest kind of strength, and Chris, a detective with a calm, grounded presence, built a beautiful life together, one filled with workouts, family time, and their three incredible daughters, ages 10, 11, and 13.

Their Maui wedding at the Royal Lahaina Resort was everything they hoped for: rustic, peaceful, intimate, joyful, low-key, elegant, and touched with bohemian magic. A gorgeous tropical arch stood tall against the ocean backdrop as they said I do, surrounded by their closest family and friends. The light that day was unreal!
