Hawaii has always been a special place for Krista and her family! Since she’s spent so much time on the island, she knew it’d be the perfect place to get married. Krista and Derek’s venue wedding in Maui was elegant, simple, and relaxed! Keep scrolling to experience this event for yourself.
For as long as she could remember, Krista has always dreamt of getting married in Maui. She wanted her wedding to be intimate — with only friends and family in attendance. Thankfully, Gannon’s was the perfect location for this! Not only did the sweeping scenery create a fairytale backdrop, but the soft sunset also enhanced the enchanting ambiance. Then the lush lawn was spacious. All twenty guests could sit comfortably, have a great view of the ceremony, and appreciate the island’s beauty!
The Dreamy Venue Wedding in Maui
This trip wasn’t Krista and Derek’s first time in Hawaii. Krista has been visiting since she was five years old! She and Derek have also traveled to the Aloha State many times together. However, Maui is their favorite island! They have had many unforgettable experiences here, so it was no surprise they decided to tie the knot at this destination. Most importantly, we’re glad we could be part of another remarkable memory in paradise!
Our Couple’s Story
Krista and Derek’s story began when they met in a country bar! Our lovely couple immediately hit it off, so they two-stepped the night away. After this night, they were inseparable!
They got engaged while visiting Krista’s family on Vancouver Island for a fishing trip. Derek attached a flasher to her rod, and it said, “You are the catch of a lifetime. Will you marry me?” When Krista reeled in her line to head some, she saw the message! Then, she turned around to see Derek on one knee. Krista says it was a memorable moment and a creative engagement!
Congratulations, Krista and Derek! Thank you for letting us be part of your Maui venue wedding. We wish you a future full of hiking with your dogs and fishing on the coast!
