Last week, Sunday and Mike had the sweetest Maui beach elopement with their cute children serving as flower girl and ring bearer. There was no need to decorate for this beautiful ceremony because Po’olenalena Beach had all the sparkle! It was a gorgeous morning with crisp ocean breezes and soft sands. 

The Maui Beach Elopement

Our couple’s daughter opened up the ceremony with her cute smile and delicate petal-tossing. Her adorable grim was contagious! Then her beautiful mom stepped out onto the shore and the day felt even brighter! Mike watched as the love of his life walked towards him, and you could feel the excitement and joy in the air. 

Reverend Kuya officiated the ceremony with warmth and his joyous personality. The traditional Hawaiian lei exchange confirmed Sunday and Mike’s commitment with a touch of culture and elegance. The ceremony was simple and beautiful in all the right ways. 

After the “I do’s” our couple and their sweet family were ready to celebrate! Our team at Karma Hill Photography captured Sunday and Mike with a custom “Just Maui’d” sign, perfect for showcasing their beautiful union! Then it was time for high-fives and enjoying the sunlight! Beichuan & Yixiao celebrated their love with an elegant Maui wedding on the beach. The Kanaha shore featured sweeping ocean views and vivid tropical colors. With three of Beichuan’s friends in attendance and a bride and groom brought together by destiny, this was a ceremony made in the clouds. 

The Maui Wedding on the Beach

Wearing a gown with a train that danced in the wind, Beichuan looked absolutely stunning. Yixiao watched on with a look of pure happiness. There was a soft breeze during their Big Day and the sun shined brilliantly as it drifted closer to the horizon. Reverend Kuya officiated the union as Beichuan & Yixiao glowed with smiles and love.

After so many missed encounters growing up, our couple says there must be something magical that brought them together, at the right time, at the right place.

Our Couple’s Story

Beichuan & Yixiao know they first crossed paths way back in elementary school, but because they were both crushing on someone else, neither have a memory of meeting. It wasn’t until college where serendipitous meetings, one after the next, made them realize Destiny was trying to tell them something.

Love found its way into their lives, and now here they are, joining in marriage with a Maui wedding on the beach!

Maluaka Beach was sunny and magical for Katie and Jordan’s Hawaii Beach Elopement. Golden sunshine and radiant aqua blues painted the scene for this beautiful couple. When deciding how to get married, Katie and Jordan just knew an elopement was the way to go. So when a trip to Maui was booked with a small group of family and friends, they thought: what better time? 

The Hawaii Beach Elopement 

Katie and Jordan arrived at the beach separately so they wouldn’t see each other before they arrived. Standing side by side with Kahu Euta, Jordan looked over the luminous seascape before turning to take in his even more luminous bride. Wearing a classic princess-cut gown with lace accents, Katie was beyond beautiful and beaming with endless love.

We’re all about how this hands-on bride altered her own gown to be more beach-friendly, snipping off the long train and using some of the material to decorate her bouquet. It was the perfect beachy alteration! Although they eloped, Katie was sure to celebrate her loved ones, carrying a pin her aunt made with their names in it. 

When it came time to share their vows, Katie read from her phone, speaking heartfelt words she’d penned with love and thought. Jordan decided not to write his vows, and instead spoke from his soul, right there on the spot. Once Kahu Euta declared Katie and Jordan husband and wife, beachgoers snorkeling in the ocean popped their heads out to cheer them on. It was the cutest moment and so classically “Maui’d in Paradise”! 

Our Couples Story

Katie and Jordan met in college, and after four years of growing closer, Jordan knew he wanted to grow forever with Katie. During a very special outing, he took her to her family’s Italian restaurant in San Diego, Isola. Surrounded by warmth and happy memories, he asked Katie to marry him, and the rest is history! Together on the shore of Ironwoods in Kapalua, Johanna and Maurice (Jo and Mo) tied their lives together with a gorgeous Beach Wedding in Maui. The Beach Wedding in Maui

Jo made an entrance in a gorgeous sweetheart gown with jewel embellishments and an elegant pulled-back hairstyle perfect for the sandy shore. She was absolutely stunning. Bringing his own flair to the beach, Mo looked fantastic in a vibing printed jacket with a black waistcoat and lapels. The best thing they wore? Those adoring looks. 

Our Couple’s Story

Jo and Mo are lovingly known as MoJo because their crew grew up with the Power Puff Girls and they couldn’t let a good Mojojo reference slip by! This couple is strong beyond belief. Seven years ago, Jo was diagnosed with stomach cancer on December 18th. But Mo knew the power of reclaiming the date, and of amplifying the light in the darkness. He knew what he wanted to do, and figured what better date to reclaim with love. So years later, on that very day, he asked her to marry him. Jo says, “He asked on a bad day for a good reason. That’s how genuinely thoughtful he is.” 

And now Jo is a stage V cancer survivor!! Love wins!! This amazing power couple grew up in the same small neighborhood but officially noticed each other nine years ago at a friend’s party. Mo, being the gentleman he is, “walked a sloppy drunk Jo safely home, across town, in the wee hours of the morning.” From then on it was pure chemistry, and the two talked every single day. 

Together they have one furbaby named Swervy and love to go on hikes and watch Warrior games together, although they’re “somewhat bitter football rivals.” Mo backs the Raiders and Jo backs the 49ers! Yep, their love is that strong! Keep scrolling for more of this amazing couple!

We could not get enough of the smiles and laughter during Shannon and Troy’s Maui Micro Wedding! Southside Beach set the stage, and Shannon and Troy brought the newlywed magic! With only four special guests looking on, this was the perfect wedding day for a small-town couple. 

The Maui Micro Wedding

Escorted by her father, Shannon made her debut on the Maui shore as Reverend Kuya blew the traditional Hawaiin conch shell. Troy’s first look was nothing but joy! Wearing a lace applique gown with endless drapery, Shannon is the incarnation of beauty. We love her bold skin art and elegant accessories. In fact, Shannon’s father designed and created her earrings and Troy’s wedding ring! What a beautiful way to create heirlooms that will be treasured for generations.

Our Couple’s Story

Shannon and Troy have known each other since the sixth grade, but it wasn’t until they were nineteen and working together when things took a romantic turn. After realizing they had plenty in common (including a mutual attraction!), Troy planned a romantic dinner for their first date. Six years and two wonderful boys later, and their Maui Micro Wedding became a reality! 

Hailing from a small town in Oregon (population 2,000), Shannon and Troy felt a small wedding in Maui was the perfect way to solidify their union. What do you get four years after Amber and Nolan walked into a bar? A gorgeous Micro Wedding in Hawaii! A glowing sunset, crashing waves, and a couple who positively glowed with love were the defining features of this beach wedding on Ironwoods. Amber and Nolan’s original wedding plan was to tie the knot in Vegas and honeymoon in the islands. But they soon realized they could get married AND honeymoon in Hawaii at the same time! We’re thrilled they decided to go with Plan B (Which everyone knows stands for “Plan Beach-wedding”)! 

The Micro Wedding in Hawaii Ceremony

Amber’s son walked her down the steps to the shore, where Nolan waited with the biggest, most genuine smile. Dressed in a goddess gown with lace and elegant draping, Amber was a radiant beach bride. We love how the wild orchid woven into her delicate flower crown adds a burst of blush and plum. Nolan wore a simple button-down with gray slacks and a blush-colored tie to match his bride’s florals. The soft hues looked dreamy against the white sand and turquoise ocean. 

Reverend Kuya opened the ceremony by blowing the conch shell, but a different special someone officiated the wedding. Tying Amber and Nolan together in holy matrimony was none other than Susan, the owner of the bar they met in! Talk about going above and beyond for your favorite patrons!

Katelyn & Lance were such a joy to work with! Their love began long after their first meeting but once they knew, they knew!! They work for the same large company and met a few years prior to them dating during a work event. They had no idea at the time that their paths would cross again at another work event and the stars would align, but they did! Today, they celebrate the love that grew with a Maui beach wedding!

Lance has 3 kids that unfortunately couldn’t make it to their Maui wedding due to Covid, but they are thrilled with their “bonus Mom” Katelyn! This sweet couple has a wonderful future ahead of them and we are just honored to be a part of their story!

Lance’s parents come to Maui for a few weeks out of every year and they were blessed to be able to join them for their ceremony. The couple brought their own family officiant and Lance’s dad also said a few words during their very personal ceremony.

Lance proposed to his beautiful bride at a beautiful indoor pool at a hotel in Virginia Beach. He talked with security who allowed him to wait until the pool was closed to get some privacy and he popped the question! Love it!!

This Maui wedding on the beach was the Goldilocks of Hawaiʻi ceremonies: not too hot, not too bright, but just right! The temperament of the weather perfectly suited our beautiful bride and groom, steady and easygoing.

Stephanie & Austen have been together for 8 years, and over the span of six of those cycles around the sun, they’ve been all-in on getting married! So, of course, their guests were thrilled that the Big Day had finally arrived–the celebration was flooded with plenty of cheers and heartfelt congratulations… even a few laughs of “Finally.” Sometimes when a couple belongs together, their friends and family just know! And watching Stephanie & Austen say “I do,” it was pretty clear even to us that they were a match made in Heaven… Or maybe on the shores of Maui? Sometimes it’s hard to tell the two apart. The days leading up to Thary and Benjamin’s Maui Venue Wedding were stormy with rain, but these two lucked out with a beautiful sunny warm day! When the ceremony started, our coordinator Jen walked their son Theo to the bride for the entrance. When Theo saw his mom he was in awe staring at her for a few seconds, probably because she was gorgeous! Dressed in a beautiful wedding gown and with hair and make-up by Salon 253, Thary was absolutely stunning.

This couple gathered with friends and family, even a few all the way from Asia, for their Maui Venue Wedding. They were so loved! When we asked how they met, they told us it was through a series of friends 🙂 . While it was a bit complicated, they eventually found each other and we are so glad! After their beautiful outdoor ceremony, our newlyweds headed down to Southside Beach for wedding portraits with our sister company, Karma Hill Photography. The colors in the sky matched Thary’s Anuenue Bouquet perfectly, we seriously can’t get over how perfect these two look in front of the vibrant sunset. Just see for yourself! Alexis and Timothy’s Maui Elopement looked like something straight out of a fairytale! I mean just check out that dreamy light and the colors in the sky! We cannot get over how perfect this evening was. What made it even more magical was the variety of wildlife at Southside Beach. Throughout their ceremony dolphins were jumping in the background and chickens were walking the beach, which made them so happy (on top of having whales in the background too)! Talk about a dream wedding!

Alexis’ stunning bridal attire was the perfect choice for a Maui Elopement on the beach. We are obsessed with her Custom Bouquet and matching Flower Crown! As for her dress, she told us she knew this was “THE” dress as soon as she tried it on for the first time. Would you believe it was the only dress she tried on too!? Everything fell into place for this intimate wedding ceremony perfectly and we loved being part of it all 🙂 . With the bride’s mother Sonya as the only guest, we were honored to join in witnessing these sweet moments in front of the setting sun. Thank you, Alexis and Timothy, for sharing this special day with Simple Maui Wedding!
