You know that trope in romantic comedies where two people with wildly different hobbies fall madly in love and somehow make it all work? That’s Taylor and Andrew. She rides majestic dressage horses with the kind of poise that would make even a Disney princess feel underdressed. He rolls around (gracefully, we assume) in Jiu-Jitsu classes. Together? They’re the perfect blend of grit, grace, and romance and they tied the knot under dreamy plumeria trees.

Let’s rewind just a bit. Taylor and Andrew met through mutual friends (thank you, universe)! And eventually found themselves engaged on a literal cliff in the Arkansas Ozark Mountains. Yes, a cliff. With panoramic views and enough drama to rival any Jane Austen adaptation. Which, frankly, set the bar pretty high for their Maui wedding venue.

But Taylor had never been to Hawaii before and if you’re going to choose a place for your first-ever Hawaiian experience, it might as well be Maui, right? Andrew had been before and together they decided, hey, let’s get married AND honeymoon here. One flight. Double the magic!

A First Look

Their wedding at the Four Seasons Maui was nothing short of cinematic. Beneath swaying plumeria trees and with the ocean humming gently in the background, Taylor and Andrew exchanged vows that had everyone swooning. But before all that? There was a first look.

Plumeria Point at the Four Seasons isn’t just a location—it’s a feeling. With the Pacific sparkling in the distance, soft petals drifting on the breeze, and sunlight filtering through the trees like nature’s own spotlight, it was the kind of setting that made everyone collectively sigh.

Taylor walked toward Andrew with that once-in-a-lifetime kind of glow, and he looked at her like he already knew he’d just made the best decision of his life. The intimacy of the moment, the gentle hush of the ocean in the background, and the fragrance of plumeria in the air, it all felt like Maui itself was giving them its blessing.

From cliffside proposals to sun-soaked vows in Hawaii, Taylor and Andrew’s love story feels like a dream you’d want to live in. One filled with horses and Jiu-Jitsu mats, publishing projects and stable boots, laughter, devotion, and now, plenty of beachy memories as newlyweds.

Okay, first things first—yes, they’re really named Will and Grace (well, technically Grace is her middle name, but we’re counting it!). And if that’s not a sign they were meant to be, we don’t know what is.

Grace and Will’s Maui venue wedding was everything you could possibly want in a destination celebration—romantic, vibrant, sweet, and ridiculously fun. The two of them traveled all the way from southeastern Kentucky to say “I do” in one of the most breathtaking spots on Earth, and spoiler alert: it was amazing.

They held their wedding at Wailea Beach Resort, right at the stunning Lanai Point. If you’ve never seen it—imagine dreamy ocean views, swaying palms, and just enough breeze to make your veil do that perfect windblown thing without totally taking off. And the florals? Oh my goodness. Gorgeous towers of tropical blooms in bright, happy colors that looked like something straight out of a wedding magazine. Their ceremony was lighthearted and joyful—sweet without being too serious, filled with laughter, happy tears, and that warm kind of energy that only comes from being surrounded by people who truly love you. It was the kind of ceremony where you catch yourself smiling even if you’re just looking at the photos.

Grace, who’s finishing her final year of medical school (hero), and Will, who works in sales for a marketing company, have had a whirlwind year. And this day? It was the beautiful exhale they deserved. And Grace managed to set aside the stress (even with her self-proclaimed tendency to stress on big days!), and just embraced the moment—every sun-drenched, love-filled second of it.

Beachside Romance & One Stylish Exit

After the ceremony, we snuck them down to the beach for some truly gorgeous newlywed portraits. The lighting? Pure magic. That soft, golden Maui glow showed up right on cue, and the way they looked at each other? Enchanting. And it was like they were in their own little world where only they existed—and maybe their golden doodle Maggie in spirit, of course.

And just when we thought it couldn’t get any more stylish… they drove off in a classic car. Yes. A whole just-married cinematic moment complete with vintage charm and hearts practically flying out of the sky. So it couldn’t have been more portrait.

Maika and Yusuke’s Maui venue wedding day at Wailea Beach Resort was a glorious celebration of love, laughter, and new beginnings. Their story began in Tokyo, where they met while working at a new hotel. Despite being in different departments, their paths crossed, and they quickly became good friends. Friendship blossomed into romance, and after living together for 1.5 years, Yusuke proposed on Maika’s birthday, marking the start of their beautiful journey together! We couldn’t be happier to share their beautiful day!

Yusuke, a pastry chef from Kyoto, has traveled and worked in Toronto, Paris, Doha, Bali, and now Japan. His easygoing nature perfectly complements Maika, who is from Tokyo and has lived in San Diego, Maui, and Dallas. Together, they love watching movies, cooking, and enjoying the simple pleasures of life. Sounds perfect right?
